@@johnwilliamson6846 For sure, John. You're injecting a bit of personality into the tune, rather than just playing the notes, which is delightful to hear.
Thank you Toomas… I can’t play as fast as some people, but nor do I want to play every trad Irish tune at rapid speed. I think the speed of my playing, including getting the triplets in, improved with practice over the Christmas break, so I was able to play this one at a speed that I think does it justice…which happens to be a bit faster than some jigs I’ve previously recorded.
Glad you enjoyed it…thanks for listening, and your comment is much appreciated…just popped over to your channel and it looks like you have some great sing-a-long songs on there!
Excellent playing of this beautiful jig!
Thank you, Dennis…it is a wonderful jig.

Fantastic John- your improvement over the last couple of years is very impressive. You’ve clearly put a lot of hours in
Thanks, James…that’s a much appreciated comment…and encouragement to to continue to aspire to improve further!
Nice ringing sustain to your mandolin in this tune, John. I like the triplets - I never get those into mine - lol.
Thanks, Ginny…getting the triplets in and not messing up on anything else took let’s say a little more than one take at recording…
@@johnwilliamson6846 my recordings are never a one shot try. Ever. 😃
@@CelticMandolinsGinnyAitchisonNor are mine!
The jigs you play are getting faster and the last one you play with this nice airy sound is very nice!
