Hey everyone, I'm back with new music! "I Remember" is the first song in a series of new music that I'll be releasing over the next couple months. I had such an incredible time working on this song - it's really is very special to me. The track was written, produced, and sung by yours truly, expertly mixed and mastered by the dog Tom Norris (getyoursnackon). While I'm so excited to get it out to you guys, I'm also a bit sad that I won't get to work on it anymore... it's strange, I know! Anyway, I really really hope that you guys like the new tunes. This can count as actual good mainstream music if you were a lot more famous. Still can't get my head around how stuff like this exists and yet "shape of you" is what appeals to so many people. Hope you do great Evan and sometime if you perform in a concert, do that marvellous rendition of strobe!!

You know, the first piano song I ever learned was your Monstercat piano remix from 2012. Still can't play those arpeggios, but it basically generated my love for playing the piano. I think, probably along with other people you should do more piano covers :)

Ok here's some honest feedback, as I'm sure you'd appreciate it.. I would, anyway. This sounds good, the beginning sounds really deep, really soulful, I like it. But then it doesn't grab my heart when it's time to really get into it. Not sure how to explain it. Need to hit some higher notes or inject a strong emotion because it's still very sorta like... best analogy I can say is how when an artists is painting and they are afraid to use very strong colors, so they use very weak colors and the overall picture comes out more on the grey side of things. Vs a painting that really uses strong colors and high contrast, this really makes it stand out, and evokes more emotion, more beauty overall. In the case of this song, it's good, but damn.. I can't put my finger on that X factor that's missing. It's the kind of song you can put on in the background with some wine and a girl over, but not the kind of song that I'd put on reply and close my eyes and FEEL. I do that with, for example, John Mayer's "Stop this train", and.. well.. sing along to "In Your Atmostphere" after 4:17. For me, I can sing that whole part of the sing from the depths of my heart. I've listened to these songs like 100 times. How does one produce songs like this, I don't know. If that's your goal, hopefully these words would be helpful. If your goal is to make poppy songs people will forget after 3-4 replays in some 2017 mix but might make it on the radio, that's cool too. Anyway, love your Deadmau5 piano remixes !!
