Luke Audio is the craziest budget mic with quality. They make all the classic capsule emulations C800, C12, 67, 47, Ela M 251 etc.. and you get to pick any 3 when you order. Pop-top swappable capsules
@@v3zMedia I wouldn’t doubt that. I’ve heard great things about Austrian Audio. But did you know that founders of Austrian Audio and Lewitt were all ex-employees of AKG before they were bought out. So they have a similar pedigree in a sense.
BRO Saturn has an audio dB dip at the transition frequency when you add different bands. I still prefer Saturn as my main go to saturation, but it does have that dip, so just make sure you either compensate for it, or place it in an area that's not as prominent in the mix for the least effect on audio signal. I've been watching your videos for years and listening to your music for longer. I always appreciate your view on music, your one of my most respected engineers. Keep this up your content on RUclips has definitely gotten better in my opinion
I love this Podcast! I look forward to it every week! And unlike the fact that y’all mess with Waves Plug-ins. A lot of people in the Facebook groups I’m in are always clowning Waves and Pro Tools.
I happy to know I aint the only one that used to use the newer mic with the phantom power supply going into the USB converter before I realized what an Interface was
I’m thinking about leaving my Apollo family and switching to getting some hardware with a cheaper mic. I have a slate mic and an Apollo solo. I’m looking into the NT1, accompanied with a golden age Pre 73 premier and a golden age la-3a.
The AT2020 slander is OD. Billie Eilish recorded a triple platinum song with an excellent mix on that mic ('Ocean Eyes'). To say Audio Technica is outta here based on that mic is kinda crazy to me
Yo guys, serious question; what would you pick? The famous Telefunken ELA 251 or the Slate? Been going back & forth about it & comparison videos are not helping because of them not repeating the same parts directly most of the time to hear the difference per sentence (what I have now is a Rode NT2A which been doing the job since performance is on point, but now I wanna match the quality mic level qith the performance level to go even harder).
Anyone have solid recommendations for the monitor capabilities of equipment like the Apollo other than the Apollo? Logic has a no latency function but it’s pretty taxing on the cpu still. I’m working in a studio with an Apollo twin, and having no latency and auto tune monitoring for clients just works so well.
I can Relate to that Hard drive Thing. Once I bought used Pc from Producer along with 4TB Hard Drive. He said there’re some live recorded instruments + Drum kit + samples are there so pay me some extra for hard drive I paid him total 300$ For pc and drive. Shockingly He didn’t Told me is That , on that 4TB Hard Drive Data he gave me was above 2TB. Which can cost above 5000$. Pretty lucky I got there.
Left Protools for Reaper. Left Reaper for Studio One. Now I make beats also in Studio One because it’s so much easier than FL. I think people are sleep.
REAPER is my favourite DAW, but one thing I wished it had is automation tracks to make automation more visible and less cluttered, which is what I think FL has. The automation items just don't do it for me, but otherwise, *what a time to be alive.* I know that most people love the automation, but it's still off for me.
@Kiloeve Check out one of the most recent vids from Kenny on automation. Reaper does have a visual automation track. If that is your only gripe it has been covered 👍🏾
2nd this! REAPER is the shiznit!! Been waiting for a while to see this platform cover it or atleast speak on it. It's the MOST slept on DAW, yet the most powerful too!
@@jaytee5018 If you're referring to Kenny's 'trim automate' video, It's just that they still look convoluted (to my poor eyes), even with automation items, as opposed to FL studio's look of them. It's still a minor thing, though, because instead, I just use Blue Cat Audio's Gain plugin and the Link FX feature to show me the automation on separate dedicated tracks. Takes longer, but the automation still looks a bit clearer to me this way.
I WOULD TAKE THE MONEY TOO. I HAVE TO AGREE WITH DEVVON. FL STUDIO AND STUDIO ONE LISTEN TO THE MUSICIANS, ENGINEERS AND PRODUCERS WHEN IT COMES TO NEW ADDITIONS OF FEATURES. AVID LISTENS ALMOST TO NO ONEM AND THEY ARE PROBABLY THE RICHEST COMPANY AMONG ITS COMPETITORS (EXCLUDING APPLE AS A COMPANY). AVID HAVE THE POWER AND THE RESOURCES TO MAKE THE BEST DAW BUT THEY CHOOSE NOT TO DO MUCH. THEY HAVE THE MOST EXPENSIVE DAW.
If You had to pick a below 300$ range vocal mic to rival the flagships microphones which would it be...i''m curious to hear @DevvonTerrell take on this cause he once made mention in one of his videos of a mic he heard at Full Sail that could go head to head with the U87 for the fraction of the price @HelpMeDevvon

Always take the MONEY!! A budget mic that’s giving the TLM 103 run is the Lewitt 440 Pure. Similar specs to the 103 with a crisp n clear smooth tone.
I sold my Lewitt 2 days ago! Really good mic of course, but at the end - its a 300 microphone like the rest
@@youngwhitefresh9220 It's all subjective. I had a Telefunken TF11 that after comparing it to the Lewitt, I sold the Telefunken.

OC818 is the best mic in the $1200-$1500 price range now. Saying this as a TLM103 owner.

Devvon is so funny, Protools is just it for me. Ableton just ain't able. I'll never hate on FL that's where I started. They lookin 👍🏼
great convo
“They have one of the DAWs of all time” made me actually laugh out loud. Good one.
That man made FL look bad with having the reverb playback in mono 😂
My crew name is 50Bandz 😮💨🤟🏾🤟🏾Gotta good ring when you say it
Where do you guys rank Audient interfaces? 🤔
Full Sail gave me the Presonus Eris monitors… They are on point
Oh wow they give y’all monitors now?!

Crazy suggestion, maybe put the headphones fully on lol
No lol the mix we are hearing in the headphones is a different mix from what your hearing lol but we fixed it

this cast should be called AudioCaffeine.
Kinda sad the NT1 wasn't mentioned
Oh what a classic!!
Dude we messed up with that one that’s a classic!
For usb mics the rode nt are decent
love focusrite, but sounds digital at times (computery(not a real word)) , but used focusrite for 8Yrs. It did its thang.

PRO L and Pro C are fire.
Ya need a logic user
How is the intro longer than the topic 🤔
We always chat and talk before the topic is brought in my friend

Reaper the best DAW.... Way ahead of any other DAW updates..

Part-Time Reaper Gang, Full-time Studio One Gang
The Ableton geek doesn't know about Ableton skins? Or maybe he was talking about within the app?
My rapping voice sounds great on a AT 2020
Ableton Gang
ay bro, i’m taking that neptunes hard drive 🤷🏽
Reaper has had themes for years lmao it aint new
Teezio use ProC
Michael Jackson hard drive?
MXL MIC WAS THE CHEAPEST FOR YEARS.
Best Budget Mic : UT Twin87
Just my opinion, but the right relationships are worth more than money
I thought the at2020 sounded good😭😭
Wish it were longer. (pause)
NO STUDIO ONE SHADE!!!
Fl community getting excited over browser updates and themes 😂 I like Fl but the fanboys are annoying
The King's Microphone is trash. I use Mic Mod it's FIRE. Mic Room is fire too, but like LJ said, killin CPU lol
Sweetwater? These guys gotta back a real pro audio company like vintage king not that Walmart model
