I'm a pro tools and an FL user I use FL just for beats and protools for vocals and mixing.... To me protools makes me understand music more based off of that fact... I love FL for the work flow as it relates to making beats it's just easier and it allows for more creativity to me.... But as devvon said it all ends up in protools 😁😁😁
FL Studio has some of the best and most revolutionary functions across all programs (not just daws but even better than microsoft windows). For example ctrl+scroll wheel to zoom in where ever your mouse cursor is at (GOAT). Ctrl+right click to zoom in/out full. Window drag and snap. Shift+left click to rename. Ctrl+b/ctrl+c/ctrl+v to duplicate without highlighting what you wanna duplicate. Right click on menu options to enable and keep menu options window still open (GOAT). Those are just some that I can think of off the top of my head.
I used Pro Tools cause when you walk in the studio that's what the artist like to see. They respect it. But once they leave I dump the project into Studio One. That's just me. It just feels better without that crazy price to maintain. But the last time I was on Protools was Protools10
@helpmedevvon you can zoom in and out from the mouse and holding option and scrolling up or down (using the track pad sucks). You can also set your settings to jump to transients from hitting tab in protools and it’s precise. Just throwing that out there 12:22
Fl studio has been around 20 plus Years. And I love yall btw. And I wish I could work wit yall. I love fl studio for beats and recording but pro tools and studio 1 for vocals
I started off using FL3 Then went to reason and pro tools 7. for vocals and mixing. after pc. I switch to logic for beats and pro for vocals and mixing top notch.
Can ya’ll get feature other engineers who are for logic. And I think some attention to the daw Reason would be awesome! Correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve seen some amazing stuff be created very very quickly. Like super impressed.. And the sound and effect seemed like something you couldn’t get anywhere else.
A good production/producer and good song goes much further than “bad” recordings Obviously a bad record limits mixing but it all starts with production and song IMHO The listener doesn’t care about the mix if the tracks🔥🔥
I think it really can depend on the genre. I think rock music really needs a high quality recording engineer or else its impossible to get a great mix. As you all said, to mic up drums is no easy feat, and it can lead to some really shitty recordings if done wrong. Also a bass guitar coming in way too hot due to poor recording practices will be a nightmare to mix.
i even use a few. Logic, Cubase, S1 Pro (don’t sleep on it for production), and LUNA (the extensions are so killer and it’s now my go to for mixing…) and PT is still on top because it’s all around killer. i still compose in PT, too.
I,ve done 2 charting songs exclusively on studio one. Start to master. We use Studio one and Logic. We do however keep PT for older clients who come with tracks or stems
It’s such a great DAW!! At the same time I make sure I keep up with others softwares to make sure I can work in every situation. With that said, STUDIO ONE ALL DAY!!
Again, Pro Tools all day!! Lol but it's always gonna depend on what you're using a DAW for. At the end of the day, if you wanna mix your beats/record, Pro Tools is most likely where it's gonna land. Any major studio is more than likely gonna have Pro Tools in it 9 times out of 10. Most importantly, if you aspire to work with the big artists, producers, and engineers, like Devvon said, it's definitely advantageous to know Pro Tools. Again, right now, I'm killing it in Logic so its not impossible to use any other DAW lol
Repeatedly hearing slight cases of fomo from non-logic users is lowkey funny bc y'all don't know what we had to go through. The craziest default settings all over the place you'll have to google to track them down and change them so you're even just somewhat able to go on about your day. "Snap regions to relative" vs absolute value for example etc etc. Like I'll always be at least little bit traumatized
Shure is Miami They had a high moment, the lebron era/Michael Jackson 😂 Always been popular Dwayne Wade/sm7b And still a very popular team and always in the runnings to be at the top
Obviously there is nothing to mix if there isn't a record vocal or instrument but without a quality recorded sound source than mixing is rough but with a quality recording the mixing is better!

Drake's Producer 40 uses Ableton as well. Great video Bros!
i love how you rock the casio calculator. i've been fl boys since fl08
Super dope, looking forward to seeing the channel grow...
If it sounds bad going in, it’s gonna sound bad going out so in a way yes
I agree i think a better recording will contribute to a better mix!
lol the FL Dancer cracked them heads I couldn't stop loughing
Could y’all do a segment on setting up summing mixers, hardware or patchbays?
I used Pro Tools cause when you walk in the studio that's what the artist like to see. They respect it. But once they leave I dump the project into Studio One. That's just me. It just feels better without that crazy price to maintain. But the last time I was on Protools was Protools10
Once again, best podcast out!!! Good job fellas. BTW, Beta 52 mic to mic the kick drum 😉

These videos literally make me so happy.
My new favorite podcast. Ever episode I'm like, "I didn't even know I needed to hear this"lol

Protools is my main daw! 🤣 but still make beats on the sideee in FL Studio. Keep up the great work with the podcast! We need more of these
☝️☝️Thanks for watching and☝️ subscribing you have won a great prize DM to claim prize 🎁📦
Love this podcast. How do you guys feel about Cubase? That's my DAW of choice. For me, nothing beats it.
A Good question for another episode is if your least favorite DAW bought Fab filter and made it stock plugins. Would you switch DAW’s ?
In the beginning they so into the conversation they probably forgot what the main topic really is😂😂
Nah we remembered we just like to find a groove and be natural in the beginning lol
Protools is 👌
Wow that new mbox is low-key 🔥
Hey Devvon, Do you still offer mixing/mastering services ? thank you.

Those NBA comparisons were funny 😂 I do want to get an Aston Spirit for my next mic.
I was wondering what are the best monitoring headphones? I'm an akg guy but I'm just curious.

Dem episode yah a kill eno😂
I actually agree a lot with LJ this episode.
Devon definitely got a point about pro tools!!
8:17 felt that 😂😂
Analog obsession is another plugin company that's super underrated! It's all free plugins and can beat out almost ALL other analog based plugins
ppl always hating on audio technica i have the tlm 103 the slate mic and a at4040 and my fav is the at 4040 🤷♂️ works for most of the ppl i record
There’s actually a settings file where u can enable that mixer rack that u see in pro tools and fl studio in ableton as well

Micing drums is no joke. I think that skill set is very underrated
Alt or option and mouse scroll wheel can zoom in and out in pro Tools
Everybody likes the Sun's??? I love these episodes!
PT gang chillin’ surveying the kingdom

🤣 Jean should’ve showed you guy that Thicc anime Chick in Harmor and Harmless plug-in too.
Fl studio been had that animated dancing 💃 since the early fls
If you walk into a studio and see FL.... RUN! 😂 This one hurt but was funny
What about the lewit mic line, they are new and kicking.
That Blue Kiwi Mic was the truth!
I’m tired of y’all leaving Studio One out the conversation! Lol. WE ARE THE BEST DAW! 💯
I have two Screens so id get rid of the switch window function and keep the zoom function
ProTools over here! But I mess with everything else too.
would Ioove to see some Beat Mixing Stuff keep husslin
Big up Avid

I preach this sentiment all the time!
Reamp is the way for electric guitar
all you have to do is hover your mouse over the bar counter in FL studio and scroll up or down to zoom in or out....

I didn’t even watch the video yet. The answer is YES
They call me the Studio One Sorcerer.
RODE IS OKC I WAS WAITING FOR YALL TO SAY IT LOL
MXL is Sac Kings because everyone be hating but they still bring in like 10m a year.
Yoo y’all should let me call in a rep logic !
I think recording is more important, some of the best mixes are a result of good recording
I think there’s more room for a bad recording to be fixed by the mix than there is for a bad mix to be fixed by the master.
Could you please make a video about mixing the westside451 sound? I feel like he sounds super unique! Would be interesting!
We ll look into that!
@@HelpMeDevvon eyyy thank u! Eli Sostre would also be interesting tho!!!

FL Studio looks like Tetris, the old one.
The aston HITS
audio nerds needs to be a separate RUclips channel. makes it easier to find.
Don’t ever disrespect the Miami heat wit Focusrite lol
100% ProTools 🔥Produce Mix & Master 🔥
Pro Tools users don’t usually comment because we’re too busy working 😂
Focusrite was created by Rupert Neve.
Obviously there is nothing to mix if there isn't a record vocal or instrument but without a quality recorded sound source than mixing is rough but with a quality recording the mixing is better!
It definitely makes the mix harder with a bad recording!
Pro Tools Gang over every Gang
Studio one
You have to know how to use protools can't lie
Could've gave Shure the bulls!!!!
Nuemann is golden state fasho
Bro Protools have every feature you can think of
