Leshan is my hometown. I used to run on Leshan Giant Buddha's feet when I was a kid, but now it's all fenced up for protection. I am glad you enjoyed the trip. There are so many beautiful places in Leshan, but tourists usually only have one day to visit, what a pity!

Another of your videos that I really enjoyed. You and Justin are a hoot to watch together. I know that we really enjoyed our month in China and would go back there anytime. Its a pleasure to relive so much of our trip through your eyes.

The whole statue of the Leshan Buddha was covered with gold on the surface in ancient times, and they used to have a wooden building covering the entire Buddha. But both the wooden building and the golden surface was discovered in history...

A lot of Chinese are used to very tight personal space, as in standing in line, they might think you are not really in line if you don't stand close to the person in front of you.

@@xiaowch I took the last train for the day in Tokyo once... Man, it was an eye-opening but unpleasant experience. When you're in a densely populated area, personal space is a luxury. I have slight agoraphobia, so I would always choose to walk back to my accommodation when I can even if it takes an hour or so. Walking is good exercise, too. :D

When I was little, tourists were allowed to stand on the feet of the Leshan Giant Buddha, which should be probably not allowed now. BTW, I traveled here by boat with my parents in 25 years ago I think. Because it was dry season, we even boarded a small stone island in the middle of the river and looked up at the Buddha. There were even some black scorpions on the island, which would fight together. You video recall me many memories.

Haha awesome!! Leshan is my hometown before coming to the States. Even as a level 3-4 city, it’s still massive and attracts a lot of tourists who come from all over the world to see the Giant Buddha. If you guys ever go there make sure to take advantage of the delicious food options as well as the nightclubs! Haven been to SPACE (one of the nightclubs) I can say that place is FREAKING LIT!! Although the entrance fee is over 400rmb😂

Swastika is ancient Aryan symbol, oldest ones were found near Ukraine. These people, Aryans, then migrate to W. Europe and South Asia. In Perisa/India, they founded Vedic Sanskrit civilization. Swastika became the symbol of Vedic religion, and its offshoot, Buddhism, Jainism and Hinduism. Hence, Swastika is common to Europeans, Buddhist and Hindu.
Aryan migration is why Europe, Iran, Pakistan and North India share the same linguistic root, Indo-European language family.

Maybe do as the Romans do. In China, personal space is not as respected as in the US. So if you don't get close enough to the person in front of you in a line, people would get confused and thought you were NOT IN THE LINE.
