I was in the ROC ARMY couple years back, was really familiar with both T65k2 n T91. Gotta say GOSH!bro,u really did a great job on both of em ,kinda remind me the old days.
I shot both, 20 years ago. K2 shoots like it has no recoil. T65 and K1 will twist to one side when shooting. At which direction and intensity, depending on which rifle you are shooting. Didn't use the happy switch tho. They only allow full auto on FN Minimi or T74.
I remember the first time I saw a T65 in a picture in Ian Hogg’s book as a kid. Something about these had always stood out for me, probably due to being uncommon but even when AR15 or T65 were equally unobtainable.
This is the most interesting firearms video I have seen in awhile and it was great to see this great comparison. I really enjoyed the history and seeing the differences in what we can currently choose from.
I'm glad you are able to get a feel for the K2, I was following the efforts of T91Tactical on getting K2 kits for years. The only reason I bought the T65 kits from HKParts is because we don't have the K2
The T65 Type T64 assault rifle , the K1 variant is still used in Some of Taiwan's diplomatic allies and in Panama and El Salvador by their police forces.
The T-65K2 I like. The carry handle non-FA upper is apealing to me. At the front sight base there is a screw at the back, in front of the hand guard cap. What is it for? Yes, I hope they can get them in country and I hope they will be afordable.
The Taiwanese T65 assault rifle was used during the El Salvador's civil war by government forces between 1981 to 911 and in the Operation Just cause in 1989.
Beautiful rifles! Unique looking, thats for sure, very cool variants ! Its interesting to see small things diff nations spin on things , Thanks for sharing, You da man Misha!
I didn’t know that t91tac was assembling the t91s that way. I would have spent the extra cash. I ended up doing it myself. That gas block was on a little more than press fit. Hah. I really want to use their upper for a lightweight build but they said I might have to move the gas port on stripped upper for DI. I want a slick upper with no FA and no brass deflector. Yes to port door though. Thanks!
Nice video, bring back the memory! I‘ve saw a 65k2 with 65k1 lower receiver when I was at recruit training, the stock and grip are black instead of od.
I have seen a couple of times that a few became available but they sold out before I got to the barrel length I wanted or the barrel length that came in was the 16 inch, I want either 12.5 or the 14.5.
@@terryfaugno9242 it's been several months, I got on the notifications from Aims surplus for them, only the 16 came in, I want one with a lighter profile. They are assembled in the USA. It isn't legal to just bring over a complete upper with fully intact barrel. Yes, all the parts are from Arsenal 203, but much still has to do with the quality of the assembly work done here too. Its not so much that the Wolf A1 is 'bad' but rather the T91T version is more authentic milspec. Plus it has a slightly lighter barrel, which gives it a nice feeling.
Hi. Thank you for the video. My bet is on 1987 for the T65K2. Nearly all western countries adopted rifles firing 62gr M855 ammunition AFTER 1984 (except USMC in 1983). A few exemple : UK L85A1 in 1985, Canada Diemaco C7 in 1986, Spain CETME L in 1984, Korea Daewoo K2 in 1985, Sweden AK5 in 1986, Italy Beretta AR 70/90 in 1990, Germany HK G36 in 1997
Taiwan Army will substitute new self-made XT-112 assault rifle for T91 rifle which are currently used by the troops. The new XT-112 assault rifle has a built-in reflective inner red dot and an advanced combat optical sight. Its effective and precise shooting distance reaches 1200 meters. It is an assault rifle with the world's longest distance in precise shooting currently.
I actually saw a T20 75mm recoilless rifle on a M1917 tripod, sitting side-by-side with nearly brand-new MK19 in a ROC Army reserve unit. And don't get me start on EE-2.
Off topic to this video, but I was wondering if you could comment on the beryl collapsible stock. In the original polish beryl manual, it shows the stock needing a support bracket that interfaces with the stock and pistol grip nut. RTG sold this obscure part but no longer does. Did you happen to get this part with your beryl rifle? If not, did you find that you needed it to securely attach the original stock to your beryl?
Yes, it came with the Beryl rifle; loose in a plastic bag in one of the side pockets of the softcase. No, its not 100% strictly speaking required to attach the stock securely. Originally, it was used to give more strength and spread out the force for when launching rifle grenades. So unless you are planning to do that on the 4th of July? with or without it you should be ok.
I had Sean engrave an A2 80% for me to use until NoDack Spud has more A1 lowers (November). I highly recommend T91 Tactical they did a great job engraving.
T86 was a carbine ;P Joking aside, i did ask Sean if he had a T86 upper that he could send me? But he said those are very uncommon today bec they really never went into large scale prooduction.

There are 2-3 parts that are holding up the K2 project, and then the Rona hit .....
Seems like they were looking closely at the M16a2 when they updated to the T65k2.
Yep, exactly. Also reminds me of Canada's C7 update too.
The optics mount is proprietary and doesn't compatible with anything other than TS82 night vision device.

I like the T91 (c. 1993), but the failure to add a case deflector is a serious omission IMO. The MA16A2 (c. 1986) had one so why not the T91?
OD green guns are so damn sexy
What did you use to clean up the plastic?
anyone know how compatable these are with regular ar-15s in the way of upper recivers, if the bolt will fit in regular ar uppers, handguards ect?
Uppers can fit on lowers and barrels can fit on uppers, but I'd imagine the rest aren't compatible.
Charging handle, barrel, lower.
