    SB140 is their more jibby/poppy bike I think. That’s the review I’m waiting for on this channel, feel like it’d put a bigger smile on his face.

    Seems like there are a lot of negative comments about Yeti, mainly due to the price. I get it, it's expensive but once you ride a Yeti you will understand why people buy them there are a tons of bikes that can smash DH or climb really well but there are very few bikes that can do both. I've owned and ridden lots of bikes and if I have to choose my favorite bike of all time it would be my Yeti SB165

    • @southpawlibranine3511
      @southpawlibranine3511 Год назад

      Lol you wish bro. Yetis arent any better than most bikes on the market. And the suspension is harsh cause its made for racing.

    • @TommyHuynh
      @TommyHuynh Год назад +9

      @southpawlibra nine 🤦 where do I even begin with that's comment 🤣 first of all the best bike for you is the best bike you can afford and the best bike for the type of trails you ride. Yes Yeti's are built for racing but that has nothing to do with how "harsh" a suspension is. You set your suspension to your riding. You can go air or coil. You can keep it stock or upgrade. My Yeti is butter smooth so not sure what you're talking about

    • @southpawlibranine3511
      @southpawlibranine3511 Год назад

      @@TommyHuynh youre the one that made a stupid comment saying yetis are the only bikes that can do both downhill. Which is stupid. Ive owned a sb6, and a sb150 and they arent anything special compared to other bikes. Youre just a yeti fanboy. Do you call yourself part of the tribe. Cringe asf

    • @gabeah
      @gabeah Год назад +5

      Yetis are known for being very aggressive bikes that benefit a racing style, so the criticism is normally focused around the fact that they just aren’t great, easy riding bikes compared to Pivot, Ibis, Revel etc they are no more expensive that any other higher end bike. They are popular here in CO however, their HQ is maybe 10 miles away.

    I demo'd Yeti for the first time this year and there was definitely an AHAH moment when I realized this bike is super composed, comfortable and way more capable than me. The harder I pushed, the more it wanted to CHARGE! Downsizing helped make it feel more manageable but it's still a big bike! Maybe not as poppy and playful as I'm used to but hey, it's not a trail bike, it's meant to SLAY!

    Groovy review as always. In regards to AXS chain slap noise once you get the B tension screw in the right place use a little loctite to keep it there. I’ve found that helps keep it pretty quiet.

    • @drTeddyJo
      @drTeddyJo Год назад +2

      I have tested both. Sb160 wins hands down. The geo is great on both, but the SB160 climbs better and feels more plush on the descent. The firebird was a bit harsh for a 160mm bike, feels like the frame is too stiff.

    • @urbanaacademy848
      @urbanaacademy848 Год назад

      The reason why is both have similar geos and both climb really good apparently. Will be great to hear the comparison.

    • @johnsospencer
      @johnsospencer Год назад +3

      The Yeti feels a lot more planted on the climb and descent. I ride a firebird as my main bike now and I really love the agility and the way it pumps. These two bikes are a world of difference apart. The Firebird ramps up quick on the rear leverage curve giving way more feedback and ramp up than the Yeti. The Yeti is longer softer and way more ground hugging. I do like the seated postion on the Yeti more than the firebird while climbing and the Yeti would easily win in a steep climb situation. Both bikes have fantastic pedaling kinematics.
