  • We've been lucky enough to spend the past 3 months trail testing the all-new Yeti SB165 ever since it was launch earlier this year. And sadly we now have to hand it back... so lets talk about how it handles, it's pros and maybe even cons?

Been riding mine for a little over a month...I agree w everything mentioned. One point I would add, on steep loose gnar, the rear wheel tends to love to party. She'll put you in a position to let the front wheel do its thing.. it's not bad at all, depending what you're used to riding, could be a little different. For me it was. Once you get used to it, it's smiles all day. Great bike!

What do you mean put in a position to let the front so it’s thing? Does it lose traction?

I have the 2022 T2. It's insane as well. I dh it, and it's so on point. So playful

Good to see them going to mixed wheel. I don't prefer a 27.5 on fast steeps. I don't like a full 29er on fast steeps because of rear wheel buzz and getting pulled into the bike. Mixed wheel is my jam. If I don't get a DH bike, this would be my next choice.

Is it possible to mix the sb165/linkage and install it in a sb160 frame so it can be mulleted?

There is nothing minimalist about the Switch infinity majig at the bottom pivot…lol. Yeti is about as high tech as they come.
