Hoping to get one of these next month. Seems to me that complete bikes these days have comedy pricing. But if you go for a frame only setup, then with a bit of shopping around, the Yeti, the SC, the Ibis, and all the other big names can be had for about the same price, around £3200. I'm looking at this because I always fancied one, but also because SC and Ibis have gone a bit silly on head tube lengths, which is not ideal if you are building up from a frame with existing forks.
Really appreciate the detailed spec overview and live rides, best reviews out there! My SB-140 C2 LR arrives on Monday after a 15 break from MTB and 2 years of renting. 😀 enjoyed your reviews of this, the Hightower, and fuel EX. Cheers!
Did you order it directly from Yeti and if so did you receive the tool kit with the torque wrench and shock pump? I think i was ripped off by the online shop I purchased the SB140 from. After spending $8k on a bike I would really hope I'd receive the tool kit that Yeti says comes with the bike when ordered directly from their website.
You’re not going to lose either way but: Do you prefer more pop and engagement from the trail in terms of pedalling and suspension feel? That’s the Yeti. Or an isolated rear end feel but with insane smoothness and speed carry over the roughest sections: That’s the Druid
I'd say it pedals more positively than a Stumpy 15 while still giving really good traction and control. It doesn't have the shock feel adjustment, geometry adjustment or internal storage of the Stumpy though and it's heavier as well. More expensive in most countries too.

I'd go for a Hightower every day of the week, on Saturday, Sunday and every holiday. With a 160 fork.
Watch this space!

Between a sb140 lr and the forbidden druid v2. Which would you pick?

My first Yeti cost me more than the Westfallia I went off to school with.
I bet that Westfallia would be worth a mint now though!
How tall are u? It's seems size Large?
@@matiagachaelomocom I’m 180cm and yes that’s a large
