    The coloured thread is so that you can identify what yarn you are dyeing. They don’t bleed and a good idea to keep till the end. I dye a lot of bfl silk and merino silk. The ties help me keep the two apart as they are so alike

      @ it’s relatively recent from wool2dye4. I love it. It’s been a lifesaver for me
