It's not uncommon for female cats to be in groups especially when they are mothers. More to supervise the kittens which makes it great for one mother to leave to get more food knowing their kitten are being looked after.
Yeah, there's a reason vets and cat behaviorists recommend giving kittens new homes away from their mom slowly. One by one is easiest on the mom. Giving all of them away in a single day or weekend is too fast. Cats do naturally separate from their mom in the wild or on the streets, but rarely (if ever) all at once.
@@hauntedshadowslegacy2826 the way street cats seperate with their kittens are kinda scary. They are weaned off around 3 month old. It was kinda sudden too. The mother would hiss at all of the kittens and fight them if they get near her. And i also think its better if they start giving away one by one especially if they're not weaned off yet. Its better to start with the weaker/sickly one first to be taken away to a better family since the mothr cat might prefer the healthy ones( this is just from my experience with street cats, its sad to see the kittens die because they're weaker and doesn't have the will to live)
It does! That is the reason I kept all 8 of my kittens with their mother. I held each one in my arms when they eventually passed away, one by one after nearly 18 years. My last one is Merlin. he will be 21 this May 25th. he shows no signs of leaving. He eats like a horse but is thin as a rail but he can jump like nobody's business. That's my boy!
Friendly reminder: If your cat gives birth to kittens and you can't take care of all of them long-term, give the kittens away *slowly.* Doing it all in one day or weekend is too fast and will traumatize the mom cat, like what Buchu is exhibiting. Kittens should be given away over the course of a week or two so it feels more natural to the mom cat. It'll seem like the kittens are just heading out to start their own lives (like they would if not tame). Also, be sure to wait until the kittens are naturally weaned off of milk before finding them new homes.
@@mjc42701 cats at least would take care and raise their children without human interference, so if spaying n neutering them is the answer to every problem...humans all the more need to get spayed n neutered since more often they're the ones who would freely abandon their children.

We have to remember that mothers are mothers. Whether human or canine. Her kittens were taken from her too soon and left her traumatized. Also, I hope that everyone remembers to spay and neuter
No matter how the mother feels about it, it depends on how old the kittens were when they were given away - just how ready they were to be parted. He said that Buchu's litter was "born four months ago" (if this translation is correct) - this suggests around 10/12 weeks worth of time in total that the kittens have been alive, as of the date the video was taken. The pictures showing Buchu's kittens have them to appear to probably be around 4 weeks old (as they are moving around and sitting in the upright position), but there's no telling if these pictures were actually taken at a time/stage where the kittens were given away - they could have been older, around 5/6 weeks when given away. Buchu's kittens, in contrast, appear to be 2/3 weeks old, because they are well-developed, but not moving around. The perfect age to acclimate a kitten to a new environment is between 5 to 12 weeks - this is when the kitten is young enough to easily accept change/a new family and also around the time that they are eating independently. This man, given the fact that the cats are very well taken care of (despite not being spayed), appears to be sensible enough to not give away kittens before 5 to 12 weeks. More than likely, this is not a case of mistreatment - this is a small case of misfortune. At one point or another, the mothers were pregnant at the same time, and they are used to sharing everything together. That means, should one lose something that the other has, she would feel jealous/left out - not to say that mothers do not care for their children. But cats are very intelligent creatures and they know when their kittens are old enough to be parted. Just because Buchu misses her kittens does not mean that she is traumatized; traumatized cats show signs of anxiety, which usually means excessive grooming, and results in hair loss (this behavior happens very quickly). If Buchu was traumatized, there would have been 1 to 2 weeks worth of time in between the litters for her to show this, and there is no visible sign of this. You cannot fault someone for giving away kittens at the correct age, even if to us humans they still appear to be a bit small, as 5 to 12 weeks is the perfect age for them to adapt. Not to mention, though the owner appears to be very alright with it (based off of Guru/Buchu), having a group of kittens running around his store at 5 to 12 weeks would be a bit dangerous at a bar, and, at 5 to 12 weeks, kittens are very curious and want to explore. It is not safe for customers, it is not safe for tiny feet, and it is selfish to try and keep them in this type of environment when they could be with a good family in a backyard. Buchu does not appear to be truly traumatized - only jealous and active in another litter's wellbeing - and this owner appears to be a good owner. Faulting an owner at first glance, based off a single action of an animal and not knowing the cause/circumstance is very disrespectful and one of the reasons why the everyday person is so hesitant to truly become involved in animal care nowadays, because they do not want to deal with ridicule when they are trying their best to love their animals.

I found a four week old kitten in a parking lot. A girl. Fleas and mites and the sweetest meow. It’s been 4 years. She was dehydrated and hungry. But she was so happy to have a home and other cats that still treat her like a baby kitten. If she cries out because she hates being alone, all my cats will go running to her.
My bro has a 9 year old cat who's still very tiny and not very good at being a cat, and my dad has 2 6 year old cats who are perfect cats. If my bro's cat cries or does anything, the other two run to help her or see what's wrong. The other two are siblings adopted together so they seem to see her as just a new sibling. She lost her own sibling as a kitten so doesn't like other, bigger cats trying to be friends.
I can speak from experience since I was supposed to be a foster mother to a neglected feline that was herself only 15 months old. She was brought to me with 8 kittens born the day before when she was rescued from the home she was living in. Everything went great until the kittens were about 3 weeks old and then she ALSO started taking her kittens and finding them a new home. I kept finding them and reassuring her the kittens were safe. After 6 attempts, she finally stopped. I was supposed to turn them in to the shelter of the people that had rescued them but by then I was hopelessly in love with all of them, so I Kept them all, Mama too. As the years went by, gradually they all passed away. I had them each cremated and have their urns. I will have them buried in the grace of a Pekingese I had in 1965. They will be buried together. My last baby will be 21 years old on May 25 of this year. I named him Magic Merlin. Do you suppose it was just a coincidence he has lived this long? But I loved them all. It is known feline mamas move their children to different locations to keep them safe from predators, in our case, humans.

Sadly 1 momma lost her babies, and started looking after the sisters kittens together, but then she started stealing kittens. We would always find them, and eventually they became old enough that it wasn't a problem anymore.

If he can’t afford to keep the kittens, he really shouldn’t. He did the right thing after they were weaned. Also, it sounds like the cats aren’t fixed. Unless he plans to do it in the future, the kittens when they grow up will breed with their mom. It’s sad she’s upset, but it was the right thing to do.
I do raise a few street cats. When the kittens started to be weaned off, truth to be said it was kinda scary as the mother cat would keep hiss on them or fight them if they want to get close to the mother cat. I was kinda sad to see the mother cat who was very loving to the kittens become a cat who keeps hissing to the kittens. All of the kittens now live right outside my home and the mother cat live next door to us(well the mother cat had always live there).
Buchu's kittens were taken from her too early. She's still in MOMMA MODE and NEEDS TO NURTURE. It seems like Guri is sympathetic to Buchu's broken heart over losing her babies. She don't get angry at Auntie Buchu. What a sweet kitty family!!🥰🥰🥰😇😇😇🥰🥰💋💋
We've fostered cats and kittens for about 4 years. It's been so much fun. Sometimes we have a momma that has just given birth and we'll get a couple of new kittens that need a momma. The new moms almost always accept the new kittens. If not we bottle feed. One day we got a single newborn that we were going to need to bottle feed. Then we heard about a new momma. None of her kittens survived so we gave her our single newborn. She loved that little guy and literally hugged him while she groomed him. It was so sweet.
Aww, bless her heart. Her kittens were taken WAY TO SOON! Kittens are supposed to stay with mom for 12 wks. To learn everything they need to learn from them, as well as nurse longer for their immune system to be healthy. 10 wks at the Least!! Bless this shop owner for being a good pet parent. He just needs to keep kittens until 10-12 wks before adopting them out.
The real culprit after all is the owner. They took away her kittens without her consent. So this time she just tried to hide the kittens of her care from being taken away again.
In 6:44 it was said after they were weaned off though. Usually for street cats the mother cats will become different to the kittens. From a loving to a scary one to the kittens. It all happens in a day and it sure saddens me to see how the momma cat would want to fight and hiss them. The owner might had known already and immediately send all of them away after being weaned off. This is just my experience raising street cats
@@zaidanhakim1072 why not spay the kitten to avoid pregnancy? If they are good pet owners, they won't let the cats get pregnant then give away the kittens after.

In addition to staggering their departure it usually takes kittens about six to eight weeks to be weaned completely and they also learn other things like cleaning during that period of time so if you take them away at only 4 weeks then they're not getting the nutritional requirements, bonding time, growing time or any opportunity to see their mother cleaning/grooming herself.
An entertaining story with an interesting plot twist. The butler sent Buchu’s kittens to a new family. Animals always have a reason to act the way they do. Buchu is the kitnapper, caught in the act meow. Buchu has a guilty look on her face, meow.
This was more like a movie and has all elements of one. Buchu's story is quite sad. The poor one must have experienced alot of pain on being seperated from her kittens but thankfully Guri and her kittens are there for her. The 4 munchkins are lucky to have 2 caring mommies. May this friendship last for a long long time
It is sad when people give away the kittens. The mother becomes so sad, and it just breaks my heart all the time! :( This is why people adopt neutered pets, bc if they have kittens, you don’t wanna take care of them all, but you don’t wanna give them away either… I just feel bad for these mother cats, and I need to talk about it to someone, or else my HEART WILL SHATTER!!! 💔 Note: Do what’s best for your pets
If your gonna give away the kittens, at least give them to your friends, or neighbors so that the mother can visit them once a week, or twice a month. Maybe let her visit her kittens as soon as possible… you know, if they live close
This is such a heartbreaking thing that happens way too often with mother cats than we realize. I'm glad there's a good ending on Buchu's story though. I hope she'd never have to experience it again.
Awwww its sad when kittens have to go but thats part of life. My sisters cat had kittens and they went but thankfully she kept one so she's not alone. It's so cute watching those 2 together ❤ 🥰😍
1 month is a bit too early to separate mom cat and kittens. I heard normal age is around 2,5 to 3 months. We gave away our kittens when they were 2,5 months and believe me our cat was super chill about it. To be honest she was quite tired of their shenanigans even before that 🤣 being a mom is tiring!))
We have 3 femelles cats two of them are mother and daughter...after they gave birth almost same time they swap kittens to take care of them... later sadly they didn't survive .... few months later the 3rd female gave birth to 4 kittens she lets the mum and daughter watch after her kittens she only back late evening! The two mums doing great job they never leave kittens alone now they abt 4 mounths! They ignoring their real mum 🙄 doesn't seem bothering them to be rised by an other cats... Its funny mum and daughter make heart tails every time they come to say hi... Its the craziest thing i witness in my life! Mums cats are awesome 😘

Can't help but smile to this family.. Now, I can relate to stories of knitter's club....because I have stray kathy and her two kittens...bless your hearts...stay safe everyone... Watching from the Philippines..
I used to feed a feral cat that sort of lived in my front yard (she looked just like guri but much thinner, and roamed all around the neighbourhood but felt the safest at my place since she was born there) and she gave birth to 2 kittens and they basically just lived in my front yard, and it was so endearing to see a cat that couldn't even catch its own food, feed its babies (people gave her leftovers all her life so it preferred human food over "prey" , but when she had babies, she caught birds and mice for them, and I felt so proud of her!). But then as they grew a bit older(2 months or so), she began acting grumpy and would hiss really bad at the kittens, and it was during lockdown so I guess she couldn’t find many leftovers anymore and probably felt starved? Idk what happened but she kind of threw her own babies out and once a really big tomcat tried to chase her babies and she let him...and after a while the babies disappeared....so I mean, did she let them get killed? Or what? Idk but that just made me not trust cats 😐
The kittens and the starving mother was living in ur front yard... but that mother had to starve... I can see that you basically have a dog ... so ur house might be loaded with dog food ... so if ur so much of a Samaritan u could've at least reserved them a potion... this behavior is natural among animals... it does not only include cats ... strokes literally dump their weak baby out of their nest to preserve food... even there are humans who have this kinda behavior... 2 months is an age where kittens start to eat other kind of food so they don't have to depend on their mother ... and this rarely happens.. so u losing trust in cats simply because of one starving hungry mama is like ur accepting the fact that a murderers family should be all murderers and a terrorist action should be blamed on the whole community and there home country ... and an individual's decisions and actions are a whole race or a factions guilt.... U know something cats are knows as great mothers .. where they even accept orphaned kittens...(mostly their parents have been killed by dogs and other accidents)

It still open to him if he wants to give them away to loving family or not.
Doesn’t matter because he can give them to a loving family if he can’t take on that many kittens.
@@SaraNightfire1 doesn't matter it still up to him.
Leaving the kitten like a bag of potatoes, 3:36 I love them
Hermosos angelitos 🐈 gracias saludos. Mama Guri y titia Buchu. Café incrivel. Buchu 😹😹💓 Dr gracias ❤️
Such a buety seeing those cats 🐈😻
TWO MOMCATS FOR KITTENS!!!!! WONDERFUL AND AWESOME!!!! THANKS MY DEAR FRIENDS FOR YOUR CARE AND LOVE FOR CUTE, PRECIOUS CREATURES
Cats who teach human about humanity, like a great movie...so touching.
Most cute kidnapper in the world
Ahh, they're so cute 😻
This was quite the who-done-it with a bittersweet backstory and a lovely happy ending. 🐱 🐈⬛
9:52 aww its so cute the kitten is trying to take care of buchu
So CUTE!..at the end, the kitten was grooming the mom, so adorable
waw! it's like Guri understand the pain of the lost Buchu is going thru and let her get along with the kidnapping , those animals are majestic !
ADORABLE cats 🐱🐱🐱 very fluffy and smart 😍😍, SUPER LIKE from Brazil 👍🏻🇧🇷🇧🇷
Yoshi, the little yorkie, woof woof 🐶🐶🐶
Woof woof? Bruh
That is such a sad but sweet story. They are all absolutely adorable!
Забавная история-целый детектив с похищением котят! Очень интересный ролик! Спасибо вам за заботу о кошках и малышах. Вы добрый человек!
This may be the cutest catnapping I’ve ever witnessed! Thanks for giving us a lighthearted video regarding the intimate lives of a tale of two cats.
Lo q es tener corazón d Madre! Y esta Gatita lo demuestra! Saludo d Córdoba, Argentina!
Cute Cats ❤️
They are all so cute and funny story.. It is a very good solution for buchu..
The owner really dote on them with love.
They are all so beautiful cats!💕🐾🐈❤ I love them all.
They’re all so beautiful I hope they’re always healthy and happy 💞 so thankful for the people who take care and concern about them 🥺
The real culprit after all is the owner. They took away her kittens without her consent. So this time she just tried to hide the kittens of her care from being taken away again.
the owner has good reason though, but still must be hard for Buchu
In 6:44 it was said after they were weaned off though. Usually for street cats the mother cats will become different to the kittens. From a loving to a scary one to the kittens. It all happens in a day and it sure saddens me to see how the momma cat would want to fight and hiss them. The owner might had known already and immediately send all of them away after being weaned off. This is just my experience raising street cats
6:40 to be exact
Quick question but how do you ask a cat for consent?
@@zaidanhakim1072 why not spay the kitten to avoid pregnancy? If they are good pet owners, they won't let the cats get pregnant then give away the kittens after.

I am Brazil day and I love your videos Congratulations on your work ❤️ God bless you
In addition to staggering their departure it usually takes kittens about six to eight weeks to be weaned completely and they also learn other things like cleaning during that period of time so if you take them away at only 4 weeks then they're not getting the nutritional requirements, bonding time, growing time or any opportunity to see their mother cleaning/grooming herself.
Time to make your day better by watching this cute Cats and kittens. 😘😘
Poverina, era una mamma triste perché le avevano portato via i cuccioli. Sono brave gattine tutte e due
4:02 awhh so adorable
An entertaining story with an interesting plot twist. The butler sent Buchu’s kittens to a new family. Animals always have a reason to act the way they do.
Buchu is the kitnapper, caught in the act meow. Buchu has a guilty look on her face, meow.
Justcan praying all cats health and regards for all catlovers from kucing cat tv Indonesia. Minal aizin walfaizin mohon maaf lahir batin

Круговорот котят в природе...Вот что значит материнский инстинкт!Крепкого здоровья и долгих лет этой семейке!
Note: Do what’s best for your pets
If your gonna give away the kittens, at least give them to your friends, or neighbors so that the mother can visit them once a week, or twice a month. Maybe let her visit her kittens as soon as possible… you know, if they live close
@★•Beary•★ If I had kittens, I would have no choice but to keep dem. For meh, it’s wike giving away human kids if I give away kittens
hermosass gatitas gracias kk
I CaNt ✋🤣😂 the way the cat owner grabbed Bucchu (the auntie cat) and scolded her for acting innocent HAHAHAHAH 6:02
So sad for the other mommy 😢😢😢 I love cats ❤
Aaaaw how beautiful, I love cats and more babies
This is such a heartbreaking thing that happens way too often with mother cats than we realize. I'm glad there's a good ending on Buchu's story though. I hope she'd never have to experience it again.
Its so loving
Adorable 😍😍😍😍genial su solución muy humana gracias cuidemos a nuestros seres inocentes 😇💕😊💖💜♥😇💕😊💖gracias

Dios!!! Cómo son hermosos los gatitos bebé ❤❤❤
SO Cute BEAUTIFUL baby AMAZING
Awwww its sad when kittens have to go but thats part of life. My sisters cat had kittens and they went but thankfully she kept one so she's not alone. It's so cute watching those 2 together ❤ 🥰😍
Awwww.. Cute Cat 🐈🐱😻
😍😘 ¡¡Que linda historia!! Siempre hay algo que nos demuestra los sentimientos e inteligencia de los animales. Saludos 💝🐱🙏🐱💞
Buchu should have had at least 8 weeks to wean her litter.😞
Yes she should have been allowed 1 more month. 😢😢😢😢
that's right! they should never be taken away before 8 weeks. so sad 😭😭😭
12 Weeks
Cats are amazing and adorable animals I just love their life stories go they are just unbelievable!!!!!😻😻😻😻😻😻😻❤️❤️❤️
So cute and adorable ❤
Amei essa história. Que a mamãe e a titia continuem boas Amigas cuidando das crianças. ❤
Lindos nenezinhos. Que todos sejam muito felizes
Cat1: what are you doing with my baby?
Cat2: i lost mine
Cat1: understandable have a nice day
Mother's love is greater than anything possible else in this world
