@@damiane1015 and not winning with lackluster talent isnt a "most coaches" thing, it's a all coaches thing. Name one coach who has made legit success without star players? Manu and Parker were good but not as good as the 2 and 3 on any of these other dynasties and DRob was never the same after his injury in '97. And as pointed out in the video, Parker and Ginobili were developed into stars because of Pop. @@drago2689 he hasn’t had the success has with a very good team. And although that goes for most coaches, he doesn’t come close to having a winning team at all without those “special teams “.
@@damiane1015 except not really. In 2018 Spurs made the playoffs with Kawhi out with injury the whole year, 2019 they made the playoffs again after trading Kawhi, 2020 they were a play in seed team (play-in didn't exist yet), and then they were a play-in team in both 2021 and 2022. They have only actually been bad last year when they had a bunch of injuries and tanked and then this year when they were mostly just experimenting and getting Wemby prepped and adjusted for NBA level ball.
Like yeah they aren't aren't good because their best player is a rookie and the supporting cast is Keldon Johnson, Tre Jones. Jeremy Sochan, Devin Vassel, and Zach Collins... I don't see how he's overrated. Clearly a top 3 coach ever regardless.
@@damiane1015 and not winning with lackluster talent isnt a "most coaches" thing, it's a all coaches thing. Name one coach who has made legit success without star players? Honestly the Spurs have actually been the biggest overachieving dynasty in the history of the league given the talent. Manu and Parker were good but not as good as the 2 and 3 on any of these other dynasties and DRob was never the same after his injury in '97. And as pointed out in the video, Parker and Ginobili were developed into stars because of Pop. The amount of guys whose careers have been revitalized or built entirely by Pop and his system is ridiculous. The 2014 Spurs didn't actually have any player near superstar level (the core 3 were old and Leonard hadn't broken out yet, only all star that year was Parker with 16-3-6) and yet they won the Finals in dominating fashion and are arguably a top 10 team ever primarily because of great coaching.

Bro this guy is hilarious. Rashad McCants is the most diabolical podcast host ever!
Is McCants the first nba player with CTE??!!!😂😂
No matter how wacky his takes are, we need him because the way he explains it is the best thing ever. He funny too. "Stat Man Stat Man" "Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeet" dude is funny

B Jennings during the Gasol over Jokic take🤣🤣
I think mccants takes value in the all around skillsets that makes them better.
Gasol brothers better than Jokic is a wild take
Kenyon Martin's reaction 💀💀💀
shows most valuable cast member
Real talk is Jokic not that much better offensively than the Gasol brothers ..Jokic just has the ball more
idk about marc gasol but paul was him when he played with the grizzlies 😮
Mccants be trolling bro..but his thought do reflect his career

You crazy..... I'm from Cleveland. Andre was like Lebron's clone on the floor . When we played the 76ers we knew we were playing Lebrons physical nemesis.
Less you, more of the podcast highlights I was promised
I’m not gonna lie if anyone watched the nba playoffs and finals PAU GASOL WAS A DAMN BEAST AND WAS CRUCIAL AT SCORING IN AND AROUND THE PAINT…. He was awesome until Andrew Bynem came in and stunk up the center position
