Could you put a taller fridge freezer where you were talking about putting the washing machine, and the washing machine/dryer where the fridge is currently? That way the plumbing is easier, you don’t block the window, and can have a bigger freezer (which is good for batch cooking and saving the pennies?). You could put counter over the washer/dryer next to the sink, to make more space there maybe with a coffee machine on top. The fridge freezer wouldn’t take up the whole width of the nook, so you could still have shelves, but maybe a vertical cabinet for food storage, or even cleaning supplies/ hoover etc

Note: I am typing as I see things, and I will probably be editing this a lot. I have many years experience with remodeling houses
Instead of taking out the door between the kitchen and living area, why not a pocket door? So you not only get a open flow feel but you can still have the option to close it if need be? Like late night laundry sound damper or keeping noise down for 3am culinary inspirations. It maybe not possible, and will require experts to make sure that it will be possible (load bearing walls, etc). However, I do agree that the door does need to go.
The bedroom could be expanded upon if you take down that wooden closet addition. HOWEVER, you can repaint it with a durable paint/lacquer and trade in some of the wooden sliding panels with acrylic or glass panes that can either be clear, frosted, or have those decorative cling on window decals.

I would advise against taking the door out of the kitchen. Open plan living works better for larger spaces. The shape of your living room will mean you're always in close proximity to the kitchen door frame, which is pratical, but can also easily become an eyesore if you don't watch out. If you want the space to feel more airy see if you can maybe find something with frosted glass.
Also, yayy more DIY makeover content haha.

Firstly congrats on the new place! 👏
Secondly if you do re-tile the bathroom "tank" it first. This properly seals the wall and makes it fully waterproof, so you don't get mouldy walls later on.
Thirdly, I tend to just hang our laundry on an airer to dry - it saves a tonne on the bills compared to using a tumble dryer! ... I love the idea of an extra worktop, coffee station and shelves there though 😍 I also have a little step stool so I can (reach it and) maximise our small apartment's vertical space.
Lastly, for lack of cupboards etc. Over-the-door storage is vital: I have towel/coat hooks and shoe pocket ones, but you can also get ones with shelves/baskets eg. To serve as a pantry on the back of the kitchen door maybe? (We only have a tiny kitchen so I have to be creative 😂)

I love that you’re so motivated! It may be more ecological and economical to keep the yellow in the bedroom, and the bedframe, and make it look good. Yellow pairs very well with black and/or natural materials. You could keep the black headboard and add other black details and decorations, such as a black and white rug (with a graphic or Berber pattern) or contemporary black bedside lamps, for example. You could add texture with materials like rattan, wicker, or straw for wall decorations, or use caning to cover the wardrobe doors. Best wishes for your new project!

Regarding the counter with the washing machine you'd like to put, you could even add curtains as a final touch for a cute, cottagey vibe that'd match the wooden counters, and would also hide the washing machine quite nicely! Anyway, just a random suggestion from an Internet rando. It's good to see you'll finally have a decent flat with a decent landlord who's willing to help you with the renovations!

Yay! Congrats on finding a new place 🎉
If you can keep the sofas, do! Very expensive to replace, at least for now a clean would do it and there’s other options to make storage cheaper

The wardrobes in the bedroom are SO beautiful! You definitely should keep them, they look like 'string' bookshelves that are very expensive.
My tip would be to not fall into interior design trends (like the half paneling could be depending on design). Try to make it timeless, but beautiful!

    Congrats!!!
Just be careful with the tiles under the carpet - depending on when the flat was built, the tiles might contain traces of asbestos! Not dangerous at all as they are, but if you start ripping them up it could be a bit hazardous! (I've recently moved into an ex-council house and we have similar tiles :) )
