Tip #11.. Use the Walmart app to scan products on the clearance aisle for an even lower price. 99% of the time, it has been marked down again to almost nothing! (Yellow clearance sticker says $2, but when scanned for actual price, it's .25 cents.) Sometimes it is still the original price and if you don't scan, you're not in the know.

Always use the ship to store option with Walmart. I bought a cheep tablet for college. I got to the store, opened the box to make sure it was what I ordered before I paid for it and Walmart had shipped the wrong thing. Because of that error, I was given a price range to choose from and I got a better tablet at their expense and got it for the same price as the cheaper one. Like I said before, always use the ship to store and check the item before paying for it!

New subscriber and I’m loving it. Idk if you have covered this area of in store treasures or not but I thought I would share. I live directly behind Meijers and Target. I shop there sometimes almost daily in order to catch the deals. But if you go to the “clearance” section of ex. clothing (which is where I find the majority of these) it is usually marked on the sign 75% off. So a shirt that is originally $20.00 would be ticketed for $5.00. (Don’t fact check my math here lol) but if you take those items and do a “self scan” you will find that the actual cost is $1.79 and that is just an example. But in reality just last week at Meijer I found a pair of red sketcher shoes that were marked for $60 and I scanned it and i final price paid $4.10 for the shoes. And this is almost always the case at Target clearance section. Meijer also has the BOGO /$1. Shoes are a steal. Yes your paying full price for one pair but getting the second full price pair for $1. Kids shoes, slippers, socks is where I find the best savings. But do the math. It’s mainly human error and almost impossible when markdowns are almost daily there for a employee not miss a few. And if you spot something you love wait a week at best and it will be in those racks. I’ve never paid full price for ANYTHING there. And use Mperks to your advantage. Whole other soap opera. Lol. Have you done a video on Mperks or rewards cards in general ??? If so would love to see. If not would still love to hear your input!!! Sorry for novel. Wanted to share. 🤩

  • @musicleeinclined

A couple of things weren't mentioned...
1)It is not always cheaper to buy the largest sized item. Often the smaller item is cheaper. I always check the unit price, but sometimes I have to still do math because they will often show unit prices differently such as one in price per ounce and another in price per pound.
2)Right now there is a promotion going on with the Walmart credit card. If you check out with Walmart pay and 5% back as a credit. They are running this until October 2020. When most banks are giving less than a percent in savings interest it really is like money in the bank to get this discount as long as you pay it off each month.
I get this discount along with coupon savings from the iBotta app to save even more. I have to watch that I'm not buying things just because of the discount and that it is still a savings when compared to buying generics or things at Aldi.

I am living in Puerto Rico, when I ask for freebies, nothing ever comes! When I am in US continental for vacation and I go shopping, the prices are very low there comparing to the same store and brand to the store or internet site in PR!!! WHY??? Thanks for the tip. I’m curious, how does that work exactly? Do you scan items while you’re in the store to check for a better price on the app, then price match at check out?

All true savings, you forgot to mention that by switching “home store” to various stores in your area you can check the price for the same item. Not all stores have the same price.... 2 stores in my city have a dollar difference at milk. We competition shop the stores in our area and if you in between 2 stores you can pick shopping at the one that has the item you want for the lower price if distance is not issue.

I found out the hard way to be VERY careful about ordering something sold and shipped by another entity. You can't always return something, or if you can it is so difficult that you finally give up. I always check that before I order from Walmart, although it has been very nice lately.

I've always been a deal hunter.... my town is pretty small so unfortunately I do the majority of my shopping at Walmart. We don't have a Target nothing really I mean our Walmart is in our mall!!!🤪🤪 Anyway, In my Walmart I find that the clearance items are way cheaper in store than online like you experience.... My store will have the same items in the clearance sections for months and not get marked down....even when I use the app to scan the price its still the same as priced in store.... but I can go to another Walmart 30 minutes away and find the same exact item in the clearance section marked down to $6 but at my Walmart its still at the same clearance price of $18... its seems like they don't mark them down at my store in the system either... however I did not realize Walmart would price match the website price until now.... So thanks that will definitely be a game changer for my family! However I wish they would match my in store price 😏 lol... I find lots of clearance marked down super cheap $2 $3 and $4 and scan the item and its $15 to $20 online total bummer. Thanks so much for all of your information it definitely helps me out ! 👍

I found a Hart shop vac at Walmart online for $30. Normal price $100. So I checked all local store inventory and found one 9 miles away. I went there but it rang up for the higher price at the outdoor clerk I asked. She told me I had to buy it online then pick it up. So just to try it I went to self checkout, and bingo, it came up for $30.

I discovered a couple years ago, we looked for a product on their app. There is a in store and online store options. We wanted something from automotive. Online price was about $4 and in store price was a $30 difference. It was in stock in store. Took it to customer service and got the on line price. We have discovered that with a few items. Also, some stores have different prices too. They will price match their app and website.

Wal Mart does not price match against the online store or other Wal Mart stores.
I’ve tried this at multiple stores in multiple states. The Wal Mart policy is that each individual store is allowed to make the decision.

he deal guy! I just started subscribing last week, I love your videos. I was hoping you can do a video on Wayfare. I’ve noticed that the prices change constantly and they look very very overpriced and sometimes they say up to 92% off. I just want to understand how their deals are made and if we even getting a deal at all or if they’re just posting that on their website. please please please do a video on Wayfair‼️😃

Different store but applies to the online and instore pricing you just spoke about, I was in Hobby Lobby and I tend to scan items using that particular app just to keep up with my cart, Ex: an item tag read $6.99 when I scanned it the price came up as $8.00! So correct me if I’m wrong but had I simply just ordered said item instead of physically being there I would have overpaid ?? This was very interesting yet very confusing to me, my intentions were to inquire with the staff while checking out, however on this day none of them were displaying any signs that they even wanted to be there .. so I let it go

I have a hint for anyone shopping in the store. Use their app. Scan the product to get the actual price. MAKE SURE you’re looking at “Your Store” price. Like Deal Guy said, the online price is different, most of the time. This has helped me a lot.

These are great tips. A few of them I did not know. I don't agree that Walmart doesn't want you to know them. They have a majority of shoppers that see something they like and will by it on impuls. But the class of buyer watching this video is primarily 'Thrifty Shopper'. The thrifty shopper buys ahead for next year and is less likely to make a purchase unless it comes at a bargain. They depend on the thrifty shopper to meet their bottom line and keep items from going out the back door on surplus pallets sold to flea market vendors at a steep loss, or being sent to a landfill to be buried with the town's garbage. That said, I will check your other videos and subscribe.

Question:So on a their price matching-Ive had several employees …looking rather puzzled I might add..simply say ‘ ya well online prices Are often different but in store prices are what they are’. Its happened more than once- another one was an item with a partial sticker and even though I showed the matching exact items barcode and info on the app- she continued to struggle until she was able to find the in store barcode (??)what would/should we so in such a case?

My Walmarts (I have 2 locally) refuse to price match the online price but I've also noticed the online price is almost always higher than the in store price. Also, I used to use the receipt scan option. for cashback savings. I saved enough to get my daughter a nice camera. But a year or so ago, o e of the managers told me that option was being disconnected. I've tried it many times since then and cannot get it to work. I'm an avid Walmart shopper but some of these tips are specifically geared to larger cities and not so much for us rural folks.

I try not to shop at Walmart very often because it's really rare to find any associates that know where to locate a product and they always say everything is out. Once, I waited almost 20 minutes in the spray paint section just to get someone to unlock the case; should have gone to Home Depot.
I would rather go to Target and pay a little more to find helpful associates and who are willing to check in the back.
