It's definitely not for everyone, but I asked for and was given two of the very large potato display boxes. I watch 10 grandchildren 6 days a week, so the boxes were perfect, stacked and well duct taped, to build them a little play house. We had a whole week of projects, painting it, making doors and windows, and the kids all had a great time.
I am not sure if it is still current but I believe that not long ago, Aldi had suspended their return policy due to COVID-19 concerns currently affecting the world (I forget how many weeks ago I saw this but it was posted in the Mount Dora Florida location when I noted it).
Lol. Glad to see y’all are paying attention to these videos! Both for y’all to see where there might be an issue, but also how many great things you are doing, and how much we love our Aldis! Cut my grocery budget almost in half when I started my shopping at Aldis!! Then I shop bogos, and what I couldn’t get at Aldis, at WinnDixie!!
And probably laugh when Aldi managers give out BIG secrets. How to incite people buy more? Tell them this is more expensive than it is. Little lie goes long way
I recently learned about Aldi. I was surprised about needing a quarter to have a cart. Fortunately a shopper lend me one. I’m vegetarians, so bought all my fruits from them and got hooked. The quality of fruits was great. I love the fact that they allow their cashiers to sit while serving customers. That shows their caring about their employees.
The quarter is not simply to insure they get their cart back. It is so they don't have to hire someone to bring the carts in, and since they don't hire someone to do it the savings is passed to the customers.
Honestly, 10 yrs ago prior to becoming an exclusive ALDI shopper , I told my Mother that I just wasn’t interested in generic foods. BOY WAS I WRONG !! I only shop at Aldi now , no more Walmart . Friendly staff , clean store and the produce is the freshest available. Prices allow me to feed my family healthy meals within my budget. Thanks Aldi 😁
My sister is a former Aldi manager, a few other disguised "name brand" Aldi products Ketchup - usually Heinz or Hunts Mustard - French's Mayonnaise - Hellmans Barbecue sauce - white bottle is Sweet Baby Ray's, & others are regional brands Stock/Broth - Swansons Salad dressing- Wish Bone & Kraft Sugar - C & H Flour - King Arthur/Gold Medal There are a few others, but I can't recall
I don't buy the Aldi bags or bag/box my groceries in the Aldi store. I have Rubbermaid tubs in the back of my van. I just unload the groceries directly from the cart into my tubs. Then I take the loaded tubs inside the house to unload. I put the tubs back in the van right away so I don't forget them for next time. I can't take credit for this idea. I saw a lady doing this in the Aldi parking lot one day and determined that I must do it this way as well.
What a great idea! I'm sure they fit nice in your trunk but I have used plastic laundry baskets because I found them to be easier to carry! I have used them for regular groceries, just placed the bags into the baskets to make it easier to carry as I'm older, have a long sidewalk from my driveway to my door & would like to make the least number of trips back & forth!
I only buy the thin green bags when I need a “meat and poultry bag”, so I splurge and spend a dime. When I use them, especially for poultry, I spray the inside with Clorox and water solution and let it dry in my trunk then fold it and stuff it in the boxes. Iuse it until it needs to be replaced and I buy another! But I do splurge on the ALDIS FOLDING BOXES!! They are the best! Durable and hold a lot! I have been buying a couple every time they put out a new decor on the boxes. I like these much better that the squashable bags with the metal handles! They don’t fold as well, still bunch up and don’t stack. I use the boxes for all groceries, and when I’m done unload and putting away groceries, I fold all but one box and stack them inside the unfolded one! , so I have 5 or 6 boxes ready to go in my trunk next time in the space of one. and I can even “squash” the freezer bags from Aldis and I can stick a couple of y. those in With the folded boxes! And they work great for trios to, to corral small stuff and go between the grands in the back set for all their lose stuff! So many uses for these boxes! The Aldis ones are stronger that the Walmart ones, and I believe the military exchanges have good ones too.
I try to give people my cart so they dont have to use their quarter. They usually try but I say just pay it forward. It makes me feel good to try to help people😉
@Ruth Steiner ?????? If you want to bring your own disinfectant and wipe everything down when you are out of your house. And I mean EVERYTHING Thats up to you You are missing the point Which is a little human kindness Which is what I think we need a little more of now Seriously?? I can you this. I have done this multiple times and NO ONE has turned me down and EVERYONE has said thank you.
I LOVE ALDI. I spent $56 at Aldi. I went onto my local grocery store's website and put the same items with comparable products into my cart. It would have been more than $80.
Hi guys Aldi manager here as well. I'd say PLEASE don't do #5 getting a plastic quarter or using a quarter attached to your keys...Ill explain why. Aldi's quarter cart system is set up to keep loose carts out of the parking lot but ALSO as part of the system that keeps our lines fast. As you are still unloading, we are already scanning and putting your items into a new cart. (Quarter already in the new cart) Then we take your empty cart and keep it movin. When you come with a cart attached to your specific key ring etc, we can't start scanning until you're 100% unloaded and give us that cart to put your items back into. It slows the line tremendously and it rude to others to make them wait extra. Thank you!
I was thinking the same thing. Also, I frequently will just exchange my quarter for someone else’s cart in the parking lot. Saves them a few steps. Also, if I can’t find a quarter I probably couldn’t find my “fake quarter” either.
@@GiantessNomad I hear you! Now more than ever we have to be so aware of germs! All ALDI stores should be sanitizing each cart before it's passed off to you! If your local store isn't doing it I would definitely speak to the manager. I literally wipe each cart with a disinfectant wipe before loading the groceries. 🤗
I’m telling you what. I have saved so much money shopping at Aldi. I’m on a fixed income and I can get almost everything I need there for the month and have enough left over for the few items I need to get and then some elsewhere. I mainly grew up in Germany. So it’s so nice to see and get some of the items I grew up with. Thank you for your videos and your enthusiasm. God Bless
I’m a big fan of Aldi as well. I’m a single mom with a 15 year old. My son and his friends really like the Clancy’s brand of chips and popcorn. I also like the size of the store. It’s compact so I’m not walking for miles getting everything! I feel like the employees are extremely helpful, kind and curious.
I agree that the price/quality ratio is astonishing! When the pandemic hit, we had less money and Aldi’s was there for us making the difference. Best of all is their superior instacart delivery system which has worked like a charm and kept us safe and well-fed through the pandemic. Thank you!
_I came across an random cart with quarter still residing and struggled to get with that mechanism linked to cart, eventually gave up and left it i guess it was destiny to aid other pleasant customers on there grand journey to the great aldi's 🧙♂️_ *(sorry about the extra roleplay idk why I'm like this)*
FYI: a lot of the laundry detergents are name brand just bottled in generic bottles. And I worked at a paper company toilet paper, paper towels napkins were all made there they just changed the press print and plastic wrappers. We made for Walmart, target, Aldi, Meijer, Kroger, Jewel, Piggly Wiggly, Save a lot, Food for less, and a bunch more I don’t remember. The generic detergent is the middle batch of soaps during a change over so the machines don’t stop. So when they are going from tide with Downey recipes to tide with bleach recipe, they put up generic bottles for change over then sell them to dollar stores or supermarkets as generic brands.
I gave a mother a quarter when she looked a little lost holding other coins. I was mentally off that day, so when she handed me the 2 dimes and a nickel, I just took it. I really didn't intend to
We do that all the time… it’s just a small way of paying it forward. And when we see that people are through with their carts we go up give them a quarter and take their cart that way they don’t have to return the cart to get their quarter back… Love Aldi!!! ❤️
I'm a former 16 year long Aldi employee and I just wanted to say after leaving their company and refusing to shop there anymore your channel has brought me back around. They have a lot of great products if you know what your doing.
I’m an assistant store manager at Aldi! With the twice and nice return policy we only do the twice as nice if the customer mentions it and there has to be more then half of the product left, it can’t be an empty box. I have to disagree with our toilet paper products. They are actually pretty good. But as far as name brand products it costs more money to bring the product into store so it’s priced a little high since we don’t always carry that product. Now with the whole quarter situation, cashiers and myself included will sometime start an order in another cart we have near us at the register while the customer finishes unloading there’s. So they don’t always get “their quarter” back. I find it to be annoying when the customer tells me they have a “special quarter” in there. I bit my tongue all the time and refrain from telling them to just not use it then. So having a device isn’t always the better option here. Just ask the cashier for a quarter if you don’t have one. The ads online are the exact same ads in store. Prices vary by location because of what other stores are around that specific Aldi. Aldi cashiers have to meet a certain ring speed number or items per min each day. The faster they are the less time your in line and also makes the second cashier available to do something else instead of sitting on register. As far as mark downs go we really on mark down special buy items to clear product off the shelf and make room for something else. We can’t just mark down a regular item we always carry daily. If you find something an Aldi find item slightly damaged but still want to buy it we can give a certain dollar amount off as well. But only sb products. PLEASE TAKE BOXES!! I joke around that it’s one less box I have to crush later. Wednesdays are actually when prices change and yes items go on mark down. They are also one of the busiest days so come right when we open at 9am. A lot of are products do come straight from Germany shipped to the USA. Hope all of this new info helps
Whew! Agree with you on all of this and say thanks for info I did not know. Especially the quarter deal. I am chauffeured since I don't drive at 79. My son usually forgets "my" quarter, though remembers his, this is good to know--that we can ask for one. Thank you.
I love ALDI. I've been shopping there since 1983--almost 40 years of bargains. I live in the Midwest. ALDI's American division opened in Illinois around 1980 and they built there first stores across the Midwest. Glad to see them expanding across the US.
I shopped my first Aldi in Waukegan, Illinois in 1980. When I moved back to Oklahoma, I went through Aldi withdrawal ! We finally got our first Aldi about 5 years ago. That's my shopping & happy place.
I lived in Springfield IL from 1976 - 1978 Aldi’s there while I lived there and I think it opened in 1977! I wanted to work there because they paid $7.50 an hour quite good at that time.
@@sandrawhite8519 I heard they pay $15+ an hour today & have great benefits. The two German brothers who owned Aldi also believed in education, so the company pays the college tuition in full for all their employees. 😀
As an Aldi employee, I can't stress enough to PLEASE refrain from using anything other than a genuine quarter to access a shopping cart. We've had so many people use keys, quarter duds, etc and they've caused our carts to get jammed. We end up having to pry out said item with pliers. Not only that but please keep in mind your groceries are being loaded into a different cart at check out than the one you came in with. So you'll be leaving your fake quarter with the next person in line OR you'll be holding up the line trying to get it back. Trust me, it is far less of a headache for everybody if you just keep a quarter handy. Whether it's in a car cupholder/coinholder or a quarter keeper keychain. If you don't have one ask to borrow a quarter from a cashier. They will be more than happy to lend you one. Just please use a REAL quarter. Your local Aldi employees will greatly thank you for it!😊
In the Netherlands ( and i think in the whole Europe ) Aldi provides Aldi plastic coins for the shoping carts .Best solution and we don't need to use coins .
My husband always leaves his change to help others if needed to put into the cart. I wonder if the employee's share the the quarters my husband leaves for that purpose?
I have shopped a Aldi for 40 years. I don’t remember them selling grocery bags or having bags at all back then. You either used their empty cartons or brought your own reusable grocery bags. Now I use my reusable bags no matter what store I’m in instead of having all those plastic bags go into a land fill.
About 40 years ago, where I shopped, you could buy paper or plastic bags if you didnt bring your own. Or use an empty box from the store for free. Some people did put the groceries from cart to trunk of vehicle
I've been shopping Aldi this past year, I love the prices and selections and won't go back to name brand supermarkets unless I absolutely have to. Favorites so far are: vegetables (especially bagged cilantro), chicken broth, vacuumed packed chicken and beef, frozen berry varieties and the chocolate eclairs. Lastly, their checkout staff is amazing fast and usually very polite.
My daughter is vegan and Aldi's has stepped up on their vegan and vegetarian selections. Their vegan Earth Grown brand has a nice variety. She loves their asian and quinoa veggie burgers and veggie chicken tenders. Great in the air fryer with some teriyaki sauce.😋 I also coupon so I never pay for toothpaste or toothbrushes.
Not sure which country you’re in but I’m vegan too in England and lots of their toiletries and cleaning products are vegan even though it doesn’t say on packaging . Look it up on Aldi website and search vegan items they have. 👍🏻
@@RisingRemnant1 ummmm, sounds good. I just left Aldis with a line out the door waiting to go in, storm coming and all. They’d just put out fresh flowers so I got my own Valentine’s roses (hubby is disabled) and super fresh raspberries, umm umm. The other day they featured a multigrain bread that was soooo good I was going to pick up another loaf but you know how it goes with their super deals, none left. We have three Aldis in my little town of Morgantown, WV. I avoid Walmart as much as I can because they’ve run out most of the small stores and their stuff is mostly from you know where.
We had an Aldi built in our area a couple yrs. ago and I love it. The things I love as far as products are the fact you can buy fresh flowers for generally under $5 is great!! Also, their selection of breads is fantastic. We could never afford organic produce if it wasn't for Aldi. Their raspberry vinaigrette dressing is delicious and their veggie burgers are better than the name brands, in my opinion. They also have fantastic deals on home and office products. I use an organizer/calendar and the name brand is an easy $30 but last week Aldi had a dupe of almost identical for under $10!! I have gotten it the last 2 yrs. and the layout is very similar. Wish more stores adopted the same concepts that this store uses but then again, it wouldn't make this store unique!!
I was stationed in Germany for the military many years ago and found Aldi's one of the best places to shop for grocery needs. When I was reassigned back to the states, I never shopped at one. After seeing this video, I am going to hit them up this Wednesday!!!
My son and i are having a disagreement regarding "self-checkout". He LOVES it and i HATE it...i hope that Aldi realizes that not everyone is a fan... i am sure it's cheaper than paying an employee but your helpful staff is part of what makes Aldi great....along with EVERYTHING else about it!! Thank you!!!
I’ve been shopping at Aldi for years! It used to be a great secret, but the secret got out! Lol one of the best things about Aldi is the fact that they don’t add artificial colors or flavors to any of their foods! So you are very safe buying all their products and you don’t have to read labels as closely! They have a lot of organic goods and every time I shop there, I jump for joy on how cheap it is!❤️
That only happened in the last 10 years, 15 years tops. Aldi used to be a poor person's grocery store, as everything was lower quality. I grew up on the lowest quality that they offered as a 5 year old kid in 1979. So stuff with high fructose corn syrup was big in their products from the time it was being used in the 80's, up until the 2000's. My mom mainly went to Aldi, when money was tight, and tried to get most of the groceries from there. Half the time, I had to settle for their cereal, because it was cheaper, and not all of it was great in the 80's. Their versions of Rice Crispies, and Chex were the only edible cereals to me, and maybe their version of Wheaties and frosted flakes. Even today, I still don't trust their fresh meat, as it still doesn't taste good in my opinion. I'll stick with Food 4 Less, owned by Kroger, and local chain Strack and Van Til, and Meijer.
I'm a manager at aldi and here's a lil "secret". Our produce, milk, and eggs get price changes on Sunday and the rest of the items change on Wednesday's I've always thought it was super odd that there are two different price change days
I’ve shopped at Aldi for the last 26 years. They’ve come a long way and I love that they’re expanding! 🎉 I especially like their ziplock bags, spices, produce and frozen Shepherds Pie (for my 84 year old father who loves it). Around Christmas time, they have all sorts of great deals. We like to buy the large box of assorted chocolates and give as nice gifts! 🎄 Very economical especially if you have many to buy for! Thank you so much for sharing!
@@judyfenske1429 There's only one kind, it's probably made for Aldi, and it appears in the stores for a very limited time in the fall. I always get a couple.
I actually bought an electric 14" chainsaw at Aldi last year for 40. It has a warranty. I save up to $100 on electric bill by burning found firewood in my 🔥🔥woodburning fireplace. Saved my arm too...was doing it with a bow saw before💪😤
helpful Aldi tip. Keep a quarter, under your floor mat in your car, use, retrieve, replace. My whole family knows where the quarter is, and they know Mom will kill them if it goes missing.
🤣 I borrowed my mother's car once and went through a fast food drive thru. I used the quarter she had in her cup holder. After I returned her car that day, she called me to chew me out for using her "Aldi quarter!"
]I keep 2-3 quarters in the car. 1 in the coin holder, another in the glove compartment, and one in the armrest console. On several occasions, I've had to go to the backups. I don't have any other uses for quarters, actually.
My first experience with Aldi was is 1993 when my husband was stationed at Fort Leavenworth Kansas. The city of Leavenworth had a Aldi way back then and of course a much smaller product line but still what they had even then was quality and inexpensive. It took another 10 years before I saw another Aldi in what became our home city where we retired after my husbands Army carrier. So I can say from experience Aldi has for decades been a part of our grocery savings and always good quality!!
I’m a manager at an Aldi and if we have an abundance amount of meat and it’s short dated sometimes we mark it down $5 off and more depending on the retail price
Facts! One time I saw ground turkey marked down for $1.99 and I grabbed so many. We don’t normally eat beef at home do ground turkey is a big staple for us.
@Brooke Kilroy Good to know. I love to buy their Salmon dog food. I've heard that it is a knock off for Rachel Ray but I haven't been able to find proof but my picky ShihTzu will only eat Aldi's dog food. Beware though, the packages look the same for their cat food and I now have a bag at home that I can't return because of Covid's returns are not being accepted. I will still buy the dog food.
@Brooke Kilroy Wow that is some crazy stuff! Thank you for the warning. But I would correct your comments to say they are wheat mites, not dust mites. Everyone has dust mites, so they might not take your posts seriously. Wheat mites I had never heard of before...but now I know to be cautious of that. Sorry that happened to you...sounds like a nightmare :(
I’m a HUGE fan of the Moser Roth Chocolate. It is fantastic deal at 5 bars for $2. But what keeps me coming back are the employees-helpful kind friendly. Our store supports the food pantry where I am a volunteer director-giving us hundreds of thousands of pounds of food each year. They were also very accommodating during the pandemic helping us “shop around the quantity limits” that were imposed early on. I am an Aldi’s fan for life!!!
Love the various "flavors" of the Moser chocolate for $1.99 ea. I never eat the whole individually wrapped bars...I just break off a little piece on occasion.
I like the idea of the large UPC codes so the product can be scanned at a faster pace. Checking out at Aldi goes so much quicker than ALL other grocery stores.
Aldi’s "Deutsche Küche" branded German foods are indeed fantastic (seeing as how Aldi is a German company, not so surprised there). The name literally translates to "German cuisine."
Your cheese prices are higher than Walmart, I couldn't find pepperoni so I put the ham back too and had to go to Walmart too. Your half and half and heavy cream are very cheap and beat Walmart's prices. The low carb tortilla wraps are cheap too,. The zero carb bread tastes like wood. I guess that's why it's so expensive you only buy it once and never again.
Yes it does. And you really can dilute it too. It's only for breaking the water surface tension then it lets in the water which cleans the clothes, not the detergent.
My wife and I love Aldi! We used to spend over 100 a week at winco (which we thought was good saving compared to vons and Albertsons. Now we spend 60-80 for better quality products at Aldi! I wish I knew about this place in my 20s!
Another great video Matt! I just wanted to add, my mother managed to break both knees in a 2 year period some years ago. She ended up in a wheel chair but won't let anyone push her around. It's hard for her to get through a massive grocery store on her own power. I was 350 miles away from her when this first happened. I suggested she try Aldi. She wouldn't at first because she thought it was sub-standard food. I spent a small fortune to buy and ship an assortment of Aldi products from Chicago to Cleveland to prove to her they had good food. That was about ten years ago. She's a loyal Aldi shopper to this day. It's a great place for people with mobility challenges to go to a smaller store with most of the variety they would need at affordable prices.
My stepfather has dementia and is wheelchair bound. I have to bring him to the store with me. He parks himself in front of the chocolate and feasts, then makes his way to the canned food section to pop the top off of a can of corn and sucks out the juice. Simultaneously, my child will throw an epic tantrum. The Aldi's staff are very understanding. I am thankful for the small floor plan so I can get home and regain my dignity.
Good for you! I had to prove it to my husband too. I just don’t tell him where I shopfor groceries, dinner comes and goes...”I loved the spaghetti, did you do something different?” Nope bought the sauce and noodles at Aldi, better than name brand!
@@halfheartedhomestead1909 It's kind of heartwarming to hear that. It's rare to find such understanding people. When things get real, it's just life. Glad that you are understanding of your stepfather.
As a regular ALDI shopper, I look forward to the Christmas season as they always have Stollen from Germany. It's a German holiday delicacy and we enjoy it every year! Give it a try!
Daniel Stuart I’m waiting for that one, I believe it will be this coming week 9/16- 9/22. $24.99 for the 4.6 qt. French oven, l already have one but need a second one, very affordable Crofton brand😊
I love how fast their checkout lines are. We save at least $150 a month by shopping at Aldi's and their store brands are as good or better than name brands. I tell my kids and my friends, " you're nuts if you don't shop Aldi's. No, I don't work there.
My only problem with the checkers is that they are trying so hard to be in a hurry… I guess that’s how they are trained but they get in such a hurry they throw things in the cart and have smashed our produce from cans being thrown on top of them. But they are fast and efficient and I love that too!!! We are usually in and out within 10 minutes… we’ve shopped there so long we know what we like! 😊
I discovered Aldi when my kids were middle school age. We had a lot of other expenses then, so we were on a tight budget. When we started shopping at Aldi, our grocery bill was probably cut in half for good quality food. I was able to add treats I would not normally have bought. For us it was a quality of life improvement. Still love the store. So do my grown kids. Recently bought a salmon on a cedar plank, soaked the plank in a pan of water with some wine, and put it on the barbecue grill, closed the lid and it was amazing.
I have always grabbed empty boxes to help carry stuff in the store and they've always encouraged it at my store. Aldi finds come out on Wednesday also. My store has some of the most friendly helpful people. They also, which you didn't mention, have a very large vegan selection of food. Great products great prices!
I've shopped at Aldi for over 25 years. My parents were born and raised in The Netherlands so we knew all about Aldi and when Aldi came to Charlotte, NC we were beyond delighted. Sadly I had to move away to a small town 2.5 hours away but every time I went to visit my parents I loaded my minivan full of Aldi products. Lucky for me Aldi has since opened in my small town about 14 or so years ago and I purchase 99% of my groceries at Aldi. Furthermore I use The Dollar Tree for some items too. The staff and manager, Ashley @Aldi in Aiken, SC are phenomenal. They are so kind, friendly and worker bees like I've never seen at a grocery store. Thanks for your video ~~ really enjoyed it. PS you're correct about their toilet paper being pricey but their ziploc bags prices are phenomenal and so is their tinfoil plus it's heavy duty too💙💜
Aldi employee here, you can typically also haggle a bit with Aldi Find items. Especially if its sat on the shelves for a while, we need that space so a lot of times you can get quite a bit taken off for really nice items. Had a guy save $40 on two sets of shelving that we had on the shelf for over a month. We had like 30 of them and they werent selling. They were really nice but they were $50. The dude literally just said to my manager "any chance you could knock a few bucks off that? $50 seems really high for some shelves" and my manager goes "actually yeah, and I really need to get rid of these things so I'll tell you what, I'll go $20 off each one you buy." Boom. My mind was blown, I'd managed a retail store before, I would NEVER have been allowed to do that. But Aldi is so much different and better than any other place I've worked. Also the thing about the milk prices, idk if this is the case with Aldi outside of the US, but my store manager explained to me that we base our prices to be slightly lower than whatever Walmart has theirs set at, to stay competitive.
Former ALDI manager here. Thoughts on the tips: 1: Spices don't have a ton of variety, but we have more spices during holiday seasons that you would use, so most of the time it's sufficient for my kitchen. They're super inexpensive! 2: The "Twice is Nice" guarantee is used with a mind-blowingly infrequency. I've only seen a couple people each month come back through the store to use it (even if they're in the store often). Seriously, you can use it even without your receipt if you bring the item back. It's awesome. 3: There are TONS of ALDI employees being super open and honest about their favorite products on social media and in-store. Don't be afraid to ask! 4. Yeah, TP is pretty meh. Worth paying a dollar to not waste gas going to Walmart though 5: DO NOT use personal cart quarters! If you do that, you hold up the line because we can't switch out your cart when you check out. Makes everyone cross. 6. Online specials aren't super helpful for me... Often in our store, our store manager would mark things down in our local store that you wouldn't know about unless you were physically there. 7: Same concept as number 6! You can ask about anything being marked down. Generally, we won't mark something down unless we have WAY too much of it in the back (which you can usually tell because the shelf is super full) or if it's going to go out of date soon. Pay close attention to meat and dairy dates for extra savings. 8. PLEASE take our boxes! Thanks. We love you! 9. ALDI stores either put out our huge markdowns and specials on Sunday or Wednesday depending on location. The markdowns happen before opening on Wednesday because that's the same time we put out ALDI finds. Wednesday mornings are busier, but you get the most opportunities. 10. Not a huge fan of German sausage personally, but our chips and cookies are pretty good for the price. It honestly depends on the region, and your specific location and store manager, but they're usually around most of the time during the day. Make a new friend and you'll find plenty of sweet deals, no lie!
I have been buying from Aldi for the last 18 months and consider I have had excellent savings shopping at their stores. Being a Military retiree in Alexandria, VA, and having access to the Military commissary system, I feel that other than the meat prices I get better deals at Aldi. Also with Aldi being in the neighborhood, the travel distance is a saving!
Ayyyyeee! AVA in the house!!! Def shop the various Aldi stores in the area (Springfield/Kingstowne/Merrifield); they all seem to offer various items at different times.
They are able to scan faster than other stores because they have designed their packaging with UPC codes on multiple sides. They never have to flip the package around more than once to find the barcode. Seems like an insignificant benefit, but watch cashiers at other stores. Sometimes they have to turn a package around several times to find the code. Every little bit helps. Aldi's efficiency planning helps keep prices down.👍🏻
My sister in law used to work there and she told me she was trained and required to scan and get you out as fast as she could. And they do pay well there.
I will second your opinion on the chocolate. Aldi's chocolate comes in many different flavor styles and they are all exceptional. In fact, I believe they've even won awards for it. Theirs is more like the excellent European chocolates of which most Americans have no experience. Often you will find one or more of them on sale for a significantly lower price.
They do have the "quarter keeper" keychain which keeps a quarter handy on your keys. I think it costs like a dollar ish haha but if you have a system you don't need it.
Aldi’s home decor/items are my weakness!!! I’ve decorated my whole house with everything ALDI!! There sheet sets are some of the softest I’ve ever owned.
Aldi's has come a long way from when I was a kid. It used to be considered the cheap alternative to the grocery store and the products pretty much supported it with being cheap and second class but in the past decade or two, Aldi's has become a top notch grocery store with much better quality, a mixture of store brand and national brand and keeping their prices low. I love their ethnic foods and twice a year when they have their German foods....It's like going home to me. I'm so thankful that they have brought some of their origin country flavor to the states.
Aldi has improved a lot. I used to have to drive 8 miles to the nearest location and I was frequently disappointed that items either had run out or did not come in yet. They built a new store near me and since then, I have found most of what I wanted, as stated in the video, usually on Wednesday when some of meat and seafood specials begin. There are still occasional supply problems because of storms and the current crisis.
Great video! I love the Aldi corn chips even though they actually doubled in price a while ago. As close to a Frito as you can get! Thanks for the tips!
From your last ALDI video you mentioned the pizzas. All I can say is WOW! What a great find for pizza Friday nights at our house. So long PJ’s and hello ALDI
We get the take and bakes all the time for family pizza nights or when we're having friends over for game nights. They are delicious and it's so much cheaper than ordering pizzas!
Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this BUT... Aldi owns Trader Joe's. Now, Trader Joe's was founded in the US (California) and Aldi's in Germany. Both stores offer foods from all over the globe. So the food offerings at Aldi's are held to Europe's version of our FDA (Food and Drug administration). Where Trader Joe's may be a little more relaxed. Many foods that are allowed here in the US are banned in Europe and Canada and for very good reasons! Aldi's often follows the standards set by Europe where food choices are concerned. I feel a little safer buying and eating the food choices from Aldi's.
That would explain why the quality is much better especially in the meat section. However, Aldi was owned by one brother and Trader Joe's was owned by the other brother because they could not agree
What is Trader Joe’s? Is it a grocery store? Or is it like Walmart where groceries plus all sorts of other products are sold? Not only have I never shopped at Trader Joe’s, I have never heard of Trader Joe’s.
I love shopping at Aldi's especially during the Holidays. They have products that are "out of this world" that I love to use as gifts, which the recipients love, also. Terrific!
I recently bought the mild Italian chicken sausage from Never Any. There are no nitrates, no hormones, no antibiotics, no artifical preservatives and its gluten free! It comes in a package of 4 but each sausage is individually wrapped. They are delicious!
I learned in agriculture class that a lot of the generic cereals are made at the same factories. The bigger Frosted Flakes go across the sifter and into Tony the Tigers box. The smaller pieces go into a generic box or bag.
Marie LaSalle I like Aldis frosted mini wheats better than Kellogg’s and they are less than 1/2 price, pop tarts are just as good and their applesauce is the best. Beware the little lunch box cups of fruit they are processed in China and the processing is not good. Sad but true!
I work in a factory that makes coffee products. I can confirm that generic coffees are the same coffees as the name brands and are made on the same lines as the name brand coffee. I always assumed this was opposite. Now foam plates on the other hand I can tell you a lot of the generic brands are all made in the same place separate from name brands. (Are there even name brands? I digress...) And those foam plates should be avoided. I worked at a factory once not for very long like 3 months that made foam plates. We would throw out bad plates and the machine operator would come dig them out of the trash and put them in a bag and box them. Kinda gross.
I once went to Aldi and picked up some of their mini cucumbers. I got them home to find that they were yellow inside and not good. Late that day I was at a different Aldi (I live near 3 of them) and picked up another pack of cucumbers. I mentioned to the cashier what had happened with the other package, and she handed me money for the bad package and sent me on my way with the new one, free of charge and no questions asked. I didn’t have the first package to return, even. I didn’t know they had that guarantee until then.
Sheri L. Can you blame them? Some people would take full advantage of that. They'd buy the most expensive items, take them home, dent or scratch them, return them, get money back and free replacements to sell on eBay! They'd get a +300% profit margin (minus gas money), and they probably wouldn't even claim it on their taxes.
@@flxmkr l understand what you are saying but l live a great distance from my Aldi. The watermelons are often bad and fruit spoils quickly so it was a bonus when l received a replacement & refund.l must add that l bought a defective wall cabinet when the double guarantee was in place and l only got a refund . You must have a receipt and if the 5 avocados l bought were all bad l only got a double refund on one. I still like the store & will continue to shop there. There is a high turnover in help and everytime l shop l seem to get a cashier unfamilier with their policies.
Yes. I was never offered any refund at my Aldi. I think ours doesn't have the most informed employees and they are different people every time I shop (2x a month cuz of distance). The bagged cucumbers are often bad or turn within a couple of days so if I buy them, I used them quickly. Frustrating but the price is nice. I end up losing more than gaining with the spoiled ones.
Thank you for this video! New Aldi shopper and I will say we saved a lot of money doing a weeks worth of shopping for a family of 4. Your videos always give great tips and insight!
::insert loud record-scratching sound:: Hold up, there, Matt! The Lacura skincare products are TOP NOTCH quality! While chatting with a store employee, I mentioned that I’ve been using the ALDI Lacura facial cleanser for years and have been very impressed by the product and its price. She told me that ALDI has been involved in skincare since the 1930s.
This is good to know. I am going to try these products. The face cleaner for my 14 year old grandson and the night creams for me. Thank you for the info.
The face wash and moisturizers are fantastic. They actually have a make up like but few stores carry it. I Tweeted them but they never put the make up in store.
Y. E. S. ! I don’t eat them right now because I’m on an Optivia healthy eating plan, but before that I ate way too much of them because they are quite delicious! I’m sad that they took away their gluten free yogurt covered pretzels 🥨 though! Although. I wouldn’t/shouldn’t be eating them right now anyway, so I guess I’m just happy 😊 😃 they’re gone !
Yes!!!! I have Celiac and yesterday I found a whole box of gluten-free pancake mix there for 95 cents! It was marked down by a dollar just because the box was a bit dented.
I love their Never Any products and have learned a lot from Bobby's channel at FlavCity. Eating healthy at Aldi never been cheaper and easier to locate.
I absolutely love their gluten free products! I absolutely love the fact that a lot of their gluten free products don’t have eggs, soy, dairy or gluten! They taste really great and the prices are pretty great!!
Here in the U.K., Aldi is fabulous too. That Moser Roth chocolate! Their vegan range is pretty good. Aldi and Lidl have saved us so much money, and the quality is fantastic.
Just starting shopping at Aldi last year before the Rona got here. We stocked up slowly and I couldn't believe how much was noticed the savings from our local chain stores. Thanks for the advice! Really liking this channel!
The whole milk plain Greek yogurt at Aldi is incredible. It costs less than $4 and is rich, creamy, smooth and has almost no tang. I literally get sad when I run out LOL
I cannot believe that you would not have friends! i know you were probably kidding when you said that you have no life or friends. You are a hoot to watch, not to mention how helpful you are by telling us what we should or should not be buying somewhere. Thank you for your help and keep up the good work!
Their assorted cheesecake is the best i have ever had! I like it more than cheesecake factory. I live their pork rinds, cheeses and home decor. Their candles are sooo good too! Long lasting scents.
I was stationed in Germany twice and loved shopping at Aldi. When they showed up in the USA I was thrilled. They have a great selection of fruits and vegetables at low prices. And we have a new store just a mile down the road! I like their selection of cheeses too. I’ll have to check out their online ads and start shopping on Wednesday.
I discovered Aldi about one year ago and told so many of my friends they’ve become ‘hooked’ on Aldi! This popped up and as I watched, I immediately became a sub. Thank you! Great content!
I love Aldi, and these videos are great! The sales folks and cashiers are always pleasant and will always help you whenever you need it right there on the spot! While checking out the cashier noticed a product out of date she let me know and offered to go get me a replacement even though she had several customers waiting to check out! Thanks Matt you rock! 🤗
Sorry-disagree with you on the TP. I love their toilet paper, and unlike Great Value brand, the sheets are wider, thus the rolls last longer. Love their paper towels, too. And don't forget their heavy duty foil. THE BEST!
Love their paper towels, toilet paper, storage bags and garbage bags. These are just as good if not better than what you would buy from target or Walmart. My favorite is the produce.
Thanks Matt! Another great find is the Specially Selected Super Premium Ice Cream. It's only available in chocolate and vanilla, but it's only 5 ingredients and is fantastic.
Thanks so much for the rolling duffle bag suggestion in the what to buy at Aldi in September video. Just what we were looking for at the perfect price. Quality is good and you saved us at least $20. Many thanks!
For #2 just proving they are amazing. I emailed Aldi just to inform them the cookie dough ice cream lacked in said cookie dough. I wasn't trying to complain but to let them know so hopefully they could improve. In an email back they asked me to go and get a replacement which I didn't get because I didn't need it, and they sent me a check for the ice cream which I didn't need either!
The best tip I know is that if you see a new product there that you like, buy lots of them immediately because they often disappear. I loved the Elote chips they had (even better and cheaper than TJs), but after carrying them for 3 months they are gone. Sometimes products come back but often they don't.
My shopping trips always start at Aldi. There's always things on the list that I can't get at Aldi, but I always start there. Then I use the couple stores on the route back home to 'fill in the blanks'.
I love the Aldi baby food! It’s organic and inexpensive. You get 4 ounces of food instead of 3.5 and it wasn’t on the recall list that some other baby foods were with arsenic and lead.
I exclusively shop at Aldi’s for the majority of my household needs. It’s the best! Your video is extremely informative and the “I love you” at the end was so sweet. Back at cha💛
@@joeybaseball7352 when the customer is unloading the buggy the cashier has another buggy beside him. He rings up the groceries and places them in the other buggy at the same time the customer unloads. Making the line to move at a faster rate
Yeah I'm not understanding that part. I love their paper towels. My Mom swore by Bounty her entire life. She bought the PT at Aldi and now only buys there.
Hi All! Bright blessings from Upstate,NY! We Love our Aldi Stores up here! The Savings is Crazy Good! The employees are very polite+helpfull, which is always a Treat in this area! Wishing everyone here great health+ much happiness!
I love Aldi. Been shopping there consistently since opening up. I wish all cashiers would be as fast as Aldi's. I don't know about spending $10+ for a Aldi quarter though. And I love how clean & uncrowded the stores are.
Aldis packages have barcodes on multiple sides. They never have to flip a box over and around and over again, trying to find the barcode. That's why they are able to scan at the speed of light.
Uncrowded depends on where you live. The Aldi near me is always packed full. Like, it takes forever to get through the store, because the aisles are jam-packed with people. And you'll be waiting a very long time to check out due to the very long lines. And good luck finding a parking spot. But, the good news is that Aldi is in a lot of rural small cities. So, instead of shopping at my crowded suburban Aldi which is six miles from my house, I'll drive 25 miles to go to the Aldi in a rural city in the next county. That store is never crowded, due to the much lower population density of the area. Takes me less time to do the drive and shop at the "country" Aldi versus the "city" Aldi.

@@okeydokey3120 that sounds like fun!!
I am not sure if it is still current but I believe that not long ago, Aldi had suspended their return policy due to COVID-19 concerns currently affecting the world (I forget how many weeks ago I saw this but it was posted in the Mount Dora Florida location when I noted it).
Their Applewood Breakfast sausage in the tube is better than every other breakfast sausage - even Jimmy Deans! Try it!

European style:))
a good 80% of aldis food is name brand extras labled with the aldi brand. I was a security guard at one of the main office/warehouses.
Aldi's will change the way you think about generic food or off bread food
Of my 2 Aldis, the closet one has poor quality veggies.
And the produce is almost entirely organic. I love the large selection of non GMO/organic food and grass fed beef.
@@461JacqueI agree! 😊
I SAVE LOTS MONEY AT ALDI, EUROPEAN STYLE SINCE I AM FRANCO AMERICAINE.
My sister is a former Aldi manager, a few other disguised "name brand" Aldi products
Ketchup - usually Heinz or Hunts
Mustard - French's
Mayonnaise - Hellmans
Barbecue sauce - white bottle is Sweet Baby Ray's, & others are regional brands
Stock/Broth - Swansons
Salad dressing- Wish Bone & Kraft
Sugar - C & H
Flour - King Arthur/Gold Medal
There are a few others, but I can't recall
Thanks Jon!
I knew That Mayo was the same as Helmans. Great tips
👍That's great. I work in Food Manufacturing@corp level and product name is everything tho. only a wrapper is the difference.

Jon V Thanks for sharing!
We have some collapsible boxes from Costco called Instacrate they work great
That's what we use. Our family is huge perfect
I have milk crates.... My two oldest are teens now and can lift those a bit easier... They're nice and no killing trees😁💗
I try to give people my cart so they dont have to use their quarter.
They usually try but I say just pay it forward. It makes me feel good to try to help people😉
@Ruth Steiner ??????
If you want to bring your own disinfectant and wipe everything down when you are out of your house. And I mean EVERYTHING
Thats up to you
You are missing the point
Which is a little human kindness
Which is what I think we need a little more of now
Seriously??
I can you this. I have done this multiple times and NO ONE has turned me down and EVERYONE has said thank you.
True, this happened a lot before COVID-19 closed everyone off. Paying quarters forward was very pleasant.
Me too
Awesome! I have never gotten my quarter back. Always have given it to someone else.
I love doing that too
I LOVE ALDI.
Get a quarter holder keychain instead!
Anytime I didn’t have a quarter I just asked a cashier to borrow a cart and they gave it to me. No fake quarter needed
Generally, I was fine about the two-cart system, but during this pandemic and the upcoming flu season, I don’t want to have disinfect 2 carts.
Thank you!
How much cheaper are the prices?
If we get a cart without the quarter, we leave the cart for someone else. Share the love.
Me too! pay it forward.
_I came across an random cart with quarter still residing and struggled to get with that mechanism linked to cart, eventually gave up and left it i guess it was destiny to aid other pleasant customers on there grand journey to the great aldi's 🧙♂️_ *(sorry about the extra roleplay idk why I'm like this)*
likewise 💜🤗
I do this. Pay forward.
Bullshit, lazy always wins....carts will end up miles away
Keep a few quarters handy and when you see someone digging for their quarter, give them one of yours. . It will come back to you !!❤
I gave a mother a quarter when she looked a little lost holding other coins. I was mentally off that day, so when she handed me the 2 dimes and a nickel, I just took it. I really didn't intend to
I have a mint tin in my car with aldi quarters
I just leave mine in there every time.
We do that all the time… it’s just a small way of paying it forward. And when we see that people are through with their carts we go up give them a quarter and take their cart that way they don’t have to return the cart to get their quarter back… Love Aldi!!! ❤️
I like that tip
I'm a former 16 year long Aldi employee and I just wanted to say after leaving their company and refusing to shop there anymore your channel has brought me back around. They have a lot of great products if you know what your doing.
by shopping there 3-5 times, T5HATS when you "get it".
Thank you.
And Wednesday is "Fresh Meat Day."
This is great info. I love Aldi TP
Thank you for sharing. Very informative
I agree on the toilet paper. I tried it and it reminded me of Scott tissue which is my default brand.
Yes, yes be kind to others.
My husband always leaves his change to help others if needed to put into the cart. I wonder if the employee's share the the quarters my husband leaves for that purpose?
It's wild to me people do this. It's a quarter...and you get it back. 😕
Thank you. I agree on the German sausages
I have still yet to ever come across this store how weird.
@@Cornerstanding ...What state you live in?
Great in the air fryer with some teriyaki sauce.😋
I also coupon so I never pay for toothpaste or toothbrushes.
I'm not vegan, but I sure like to try different foods. Veggie chicken tenders soundd so good.thx for sharing
Not sure which country you’re in but I’m vegan too in England and lots of their toiletries and cleaning products are vegan even though it doesn’t say on packaging . Look it up on Aldi website and search vegan items they have. 👍🏻
Im a vegan and work in one of the Australian stores, I've been seeing so many new vegan products coming out recently its amazing! 😍
One thing I like at Aldis is their preserves--made with sugar, not corn syrup.

Thank you for letting me know! I will be purchasing here from now on.

Most Aldi‘s and our Aldi is not self check out. They have an employee that scans the groceries and All you have to do is bag them.
You better start looking at the labels. It used to be true but not any longer. It is so disappointing.
@@sherriew3448 Yes-i bought some meatballs and found out they were full of unhealthy sdditives
There was a girl I knew swore about Tesco's
I said get yourself to aldi's it's cheaper
she shops there all the time now
Noticed some can goods are from China.
I'm a manager at aldi and here's a lil "secret". Our produce, milk, and eggs get price changes on Sunday and the rest of the items change on Wednesday's
I've always thought it was super odd that there are two different price change days
Thanks!!
Thanks for the tip Rj!
When you say "price change", do you mean increase or decrease?
Is this every Sunday? If so, Which Sunday of the month do you get the lowest markdown price?
FaithTV it all varies depending on what was on sale the week before, the prices fluctuate a decent amount
I love their shepherd pie too.
Hmm, Shepard pie-- brand name please.
I’ve been shopping at Aldi since the cashiers had to memorize the prices!
@@judyfenske1429 There's only one kind, it's probably made for Aldi, and it appears in the stores for a very limited time in the fall. I always get a couple.
The outdoor products are a GREAT buy. The chair/ bench pillows are 50-60% less at ALDI. Also the outdoor rugs are $12 to $18 and very durable.
I actually bought an electric 14" chainsaw at Aldi last year for 40. It has a warranty. I save up to $100 on electric bill by burning found firewood in my 🔥🔥woodburning fireplace. Saved my arm too...was doing it with a bow saw before💪😤
Aldi has the sweetest employees! They are always so kind and friendly.
Must be because they are paid a better wage then other stores. ..amazing how actually earning a decent wage changes ones mood.
Where do you shop? Here in NJ they don't care about you.
@@coldkittn Yea im in Tampa and the staff can be rude. The staff at trader joes are very friendly.
Not in New Jersey very nasty
My Aldi’s doesn’t have the best customer service so I don’t come to expect it. Lol! I save that for Publix. 🤪 But I love Aldi’s regardless!
helpful Aldi tip. Keep a quarter, under your floor mat in your car, use, retrieve, replace. My whole family knows where the quarter is, and they know Mom will kill them if it goes missing.
Great tip!
We’ve had arguments over my missing Aldi quarter! I keep at least one in the console.
This is me too!
Only thing we’ve ever had to return was fresh chicken that was not short dated. When we opened the package the next day, the stench was overwhelming.
I raw feed 3 great danes and a doberman. When I see those packages I buy them all!
Yes! Their Moser Roth Chocolate is amazing!
I will have to check it out Mary! Thanks for the tip :)
The bars appear smaller than in the past. jmo.
Love the various "flavors" of the Moser chocolate for $1.99 ea. I never eat the whole individually wrapped bars...I just break off a little piece on occasion.
The 85% cocoa is also diabetic friendly.
I agree about the chocolate! (As I eat a bite of my Chocuer dark chocolate.) Best chocolate, ever!
I like the milk chocolate ones. Not a big chocolate fan but every now and then it is that brand in the milk choc.
I’ve heard a lot of the farmers want to do business with Aldi because they pay them the most.
The dark chocolate with almonds...Yummo
I like the idea of the large UPC codes so the product can be scanned at a faster pace. Checking out at Aldi goes so much quicker than ALL other grocery stores.
They put upc codes on all sides of the package to ease/speed check out.
I only wish that my local Aldi would staff the registers better. It’s rare to have more than two working at one time, and usually have only one.
Aldi’s "Deutsche Küche" branded German foods are indeed fantastic (seeing as how Aldi is a German company, not so surprised there). The name literally translates to "German cuisine."
??? What do you mean with its translates to german cousin ?
@@---po6ug Deutsche means German in English; Kuche means kitchen or cuisine (food) in English.
Roben Ryberg i dont agree with the 2. Part
@@---po6ug No worries. If you don't like the translation, that's okay. Happy shopping!
Oh yes! While only available during the holidays, The Stölen is the BEST!!

I’m a Shift Manager at an ALDI. The best things we have are our Cheese, Wine and Chocolates.
Those are the snacks you munch when no one sees you ...lol...just kidding
I agree....I tend to load up on the chocolates! They seem to be of the same quality and variety as sister store Trader Joes.
Love cheeses ...!😊❤
The Fresh Cut Salsa is wonderful! I make salsa and this is the closet to homemade I've tried.
Used to shop at Aldi 🗣️ 🔥 🔥
I USED TO SHOP AT ALDI BEFORE
The Tandil laundry detergent at Aldi smells like Gain and it cleans very well.
Yes tandil is a good laundry detergent at lower price.
Love it!
Yes it does. And you really can dilute it too. It's only for breaking the water surface tension then it lets in the water which cleans the clothes, not the detergent.
@@carlbowles1808 Its also good for getting greasy stains off clothing too.
Yes!!! And the dishwasher tablets too!!!
Growing pains when Aldi came to the US. So glad that they offered what they could while attaining more brands for us.
As a regular ALDI shopper, I look forward to the Christmas season as they always have Stollen from Germany. It's a German holiday delicacy and we enjoy it every year! Give it a try!
In the fall be on the lookout for Aldi's enamel cast iron cookware pieces. They are great quality at a fraction of the price.
Daniel Stuart I’m waiting for that one, I believe it will be this coming week 9/16- 9/22. $24.99 for the 4.6 qt. French oven, l already have one but need a second one, very affordable Crofton brand😊
Just bought them in UK
Sweet I’ll keep this in mind!
I already got some last week for my son. He used them to make breakfast on the grill today.
I've bought a couple of their enamel cast iron cookware and gave them away sadly. The food stuck and did not cook thoroughly😟
I love how fast their checkout lines are. We save at least $150 a month by shopping at Aldi's and their store brands are as good or better than name brands. I tell my kids and my friends, " you're nuts if you don't shop Aldi's. No, I don't work there.
Where I'm from. Checkout is SO SLOW 😂 But I love shopping there. None the less.
Their products don’t touch name brand. But for the money they’re good
Sssssooo slow. Only 2 register at a time
i find the cashiers to be extremely fast but the lines slow.
Their salsa!!! We love it and the same size counterpart is at least $2 more per jar anywhere else in town.
Pineapple salsa rocks.
Great products great prices!
yes, me too with the 📦!😊
Must be certain stores for Vegan.
Thoughts on the tips:
1: Spices don't have a ton of variety, but we have more spices during holiday seasons that you would use, so most of the time it's sufficient for my kitchen.
Worth paying a dollar to not waste gas going to Walmart though
5: DO NOT use personal cart quarters!
Which country because also in Europe is different to USA
I have been buying from Aldi for the last 18 months and consider I have had excellent savings shopping at their stores. Being a Military retiree in Alexandria, VA, and having access to the Military commissary system, I feel that other than the meat prices I get better deals at Aldi. Also with Aldi being in the neighborhood, the travel distance is a saving!
Thank you for serving our country ! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ayyyyeee! AVA in the house!!! Def shop the various Aldi stores in the area (Springfield/Kingstowne/Merrifield); they all seem to offer various items at different times.
True that!

We used to shop at Aldi when we lived in Germany back in the 80s. Now, my mind is blown to see Aldi everywhere!!
The Aldi race..... can you get everything from your cart on the belt before they get you cashed out???
Hahahah too true! The cashiers are almost too good at their job
Never unless there is someone if front of me...lol
They are able to scan faster than other stores because they have designed their packaging with UPC codes on multiple sides.
They never have to flip the package around more than once to find the barcode.
Seems like an insignificant benefit, but watch cashiers at other stores. Sometimes they have to turn a package around several times to find the code.
Every little bit helps.
Aldi's efficiency planning helps keep prices down.👍🏻
They have to scan 40 things per minute. The cashiers are pushed pretty far.
I’m so cheap. Why would you pay $10 for something to fool the ALDI cart. Just keep quarters in your car lol. 🤣
I also keep one quarter in each outside section of my purse. 🍴
They do have the "quarter keeper" keychain which keeps a quarter handy on your keys. I think it costs like a dollar ish haha but if you have a system you don't need it.
We keep 1 quarter in that holder where an ashtray would be..... It lives there!
Whaaaatttt??
It's not so cheap, that thing is dumb.
Aldi’s home decor/items are my weakness!!! I’ve decorated my whole house with everything ALDI!! There sheet sets are some of the softest I’ve ever owned.
So true!
I miss say 2005-7 Aldi sold TVs, sewing machines, and computers!

I have shopped at Aldi for 40+ years and have always found their brands to be outstanding!
Same
Weve only had aldi here in England for the last 20 years, now we have the rival lidl too...its even cheaper and they have price wars with each other,
Sandra Pride, so you also remember when the clerks had to have every price memorized.
Great video! I love the Aldi corn chips even though they actually doubled in price a while ago. As close to a Frito as you can get! Thanks for the tips!
Same with the Cheetos. Probably couldn’t tell in a blind taste test
From your last ALDI video you mentioned the pizzas. All I can say is WOW! What a great find for pizza Friday nights at our house. So long PJ’s and hello ALDI

Nia
Best comment in this room!
Aldi doesn’t own TJ. Aldi and TJ are owned by the brothers.
Oh, thanks so much for the helpful advice!!
That explains how few "ohs" there are in their brand of cheerios 🤔
Frosted mini wheats are about a third of the brand names.
Cookies are made using the same recipe but different labels and packing for several big supermarket/stores.
They no longer give you a double guarantee. They will replace or refund your money.
@@vivavita3769 when I was at ALDI today oh, I noticed that the double guarantee is being offered again! 🆕
That's something I never knew or even paid attention to, so maybe I'll test out their facial cleanser the next time I stop by.
Nancy, thank you for the tip! I've been raising 4 grandchildren for 6 years (my daughter passed away) and the 14 year old will be delighted!
Came here to say this! The day and night creams are heavily scented but have great ingredients such as retinol and coenzyme Q10!
This is good to know. I am going to try these products. The face cleaner for my 14 year old grandson and the night creams for me. Thank you for the info.
The face wash and moisturizers are fantastic. They actually have a make up like but few stores carry it. I Tweeted them but they never put the make up in store.
Aldi's gluten free products are good and not super expensive. The pizza, general Tso, cookies , pancake mix just to name a few are so good.

I don’t eat them right now because I’m on an Optivia healthy eating plan,
but before that I ate way too much of them because they are quite delicious!

Just starting shopping at Aldi last year before the Rona got here. We stocked up slowly and I couldn't believe how much was noticed the savings from our local chain stores. Thanks for the advice! Really liking this channel!
Aldi is the best place for ranch and italian dressing. I absolutely love them and it doesn't include msg.
Most, if not all, of them are gluten free, too
Check out all the aliases of MSG.
The whole milk plain Greek yogurt at Aldi is incredible. It costs less than $4 and is rich, creamy, smooth and has almost no tang. I literally get sad when I run out LOL
I use a little bit of mayo in my tuna salad and the rest is Aldi's greek yogurt. Tastes so good!
I believe it is actually Chobani.
Totally agree! My family doesn't like the super-sweet yogurts. We get the Greek yogurt and sweeten to taste.
I love the Honey and Honey Vanilla flavors....if you don't like plain Greek 😋
I will only eat organic whole milk Greek yogurt from aldi
I cannot believe that you would not have friends! i know you were probably kidding when you said that you have no life or friends. You are a hoot to watch, not to mention how helpful you are by telling us what we should or should not be buying somewhere. Thank you for your help and keep up the good work!
The ice cream is just 2.00 but taste like you paid 12.00. The butter is super.
I agree, the butter is awesome.
no the ice cream is $2.00 but tastes like they paid you to take from them it's so bad.
@@freedomring3022
I like the chocolate $2 ice cream.
Their ice cream is so good. Another favorite of mine is the chicken salad
I buy only Aldi butter now! It's really good!
Also with “hump day” whatever was on sale the previous week will still be on sale in addition to the next week’s bargains.
Their assorted cheesecake is the best i have ever had! I like it more than cheesecake factory. I live their pork rinds, cheeses and home decor. Their candles are sooo good too! Long lasting scents.
Aldi is fairly new to the Phoenix area. I’m waiting for the new store to be completed. Can’t wait to try it!
Thank you for your service Tracey.
I’ve heard a lot of the farmers want to do business with Aldi because they pay them the most.
That is SO important. Really good to hear.
I hope so! Right now I've been finding more Fair Trade items (like coffee) and prefer to buy them to help farmers get fair pay.
I hope that's TRUE!😊
I personally wish Aldi would choose to buy garlic from America farmers.
That is weird, because their fresh produce, at least the ones at my local store, taste weird
THE BEST!
Julie Heinemann the foil is first rate
Love their paper towels, toilet paper, storage bags and garbage bags. These are just as good if not better than what you would buy from target or Walmart. My favorite is the produce.
I've been shopping at Aldi b-4 anyone knew about the deals & good quality products they have !!! About 8-9 yrs. Now !!!! 😃
I agree I find tp is as good or better than the other stores I shop at...
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of Aldi toilet paper.
Thanks Matt! Another great find is the Specially Selected Super Premium Ice Cream. It's only available in chocolate and vanilla, but it's only 5 ingredients and is fantastic.
But very expensive ($4.99 the other day).
Aldi's marinara sauce is incredible and sugar free!
I get the meat flavored one all the time. Tastes good
The artisan brand or whatever It is I can’t remember oh man it’s the best I can literally drink it (I may have)
Marinara needs sugar in it! It's there for a reason
Marinara = seafood, what you mean to say is napolitana sauce.
Yes it is very goood!
Why would you pay $10 for a keychain to avoid using a quarter. That's silly!
I know! It must just be for convenience. You get your quarter back!
@@CindySweetwater I know you get your quarter back. I'm not going to pay $10 to shop at a discount store
The store sometimes swaps out carts while you're checking out, too. So you walk in with one cart, and out with another.
It might be so that you don’t have to touch the coin of someone else’s. We are being COVID careful.
Hahahahaha I was just thinking the same thing when I saw the prices. 🤣😆😂
The frozen stuffed shells! They are so amazing. They taste freshly made and are so cheap!
April Lew try the frozen Bremer stuffed lasagne rolls they are so good. They are not sauced so you can use any topping.
The best tip I know is that if you see a new product there that you like, buy lots of them immediately because they often disappear. I loved the Elote chips they had (even better and cheaper than TJs), but after carrying them for 3 months they are gone. Sometimes products come back but often they don't.
Thanks for the tip. 😊
My shopping trips always start at Aldi. There's always things on the list that I can't get at Aldi, but I always start there. Then I use the couple stores on the route back home to 'fill in the blanks'.
Me too
Dito! Aldi first, Wal-mart next.
I do the same thing! All my staples, spices, cereal, and vegetables! Some meats too! Always save money!
The quarter keychain is a great idea BUT at my store they swap buggies at the register to make the lines go by faster. :-/
What?
@@joeybaseball7352 when the customer is unloading the buggy the cashier has another buggy beside him. He rings up the groceries and places them in the other buggy at the same time the customer unloads. Making the line to move at a faster rate
Then he takes my empty buggy with my quarter and uses it for the next customer.
That's what they do at my store also
Once, I got someone else's cart that had a flat washer in the slot instead of a quarter. It was not worth the time to bring it back to the store.
I think a couple other people have mentioned this, but their version of girl scout cookies -so good!
They discontinued the mint cookies. Bummed! My husband’s addicted. I buy them at Dollar General, now. Sorry, Aldi! Otherwise, love Aldi!
Yup! One of my favorites!!
Was wondering about the mint cookies myself. Always look, now I'm sad to know they're gone.
I’ve been afraid to buy those! They look incredibly good!
Just been given a box of girl scout mint cookies. Very disappointed, Aldi's so much better!
I love Aldi's toilet paper and paper towels and the price of them are great! Also, their bleach is awesome!
My fave toilet paper is from aldi $9.99 and comparable to cottonelle I believe
I've shopped at Aldi since cashiers had to memorize the prices (38 years) and in six different cities.
@@AmberWool
Memorize prices??😳😳
Oh my...the "good ol' days"! 😉
@@jaytee2642 wow, I never noticed that. Ok it makes sense now. Thanks 😊
