16 days after my divorce he took my 2 and 4 year old to the Middle East and got a arranged marriage. He brought my kids back after 6 weeks but I know he is going to try and take them due to threats! I’m getting a court order as soon as possible for the courts to take the kids passports he refuses to give me. This is so scary! I have to give him the kids on a custody schedule and he laughs knowing I’m scared. I am an American. He controlled and abused me. He used me for citizenship. Our whole marriage was a lie and he will stop at nothing to get the kids. He never once wanted to be around the children before. I’m so scared for them. He is training them to call me by my first name and say that they hate me. My poor children!
And what I don’t get is how, when the parent knows there is a custody order already in place and they violate it, it’s no longer a family law issue but a criminal one. They broke a criminal law… Literally. Why would you first file a motion through the same people who failed you and your kids the first time, the same people the ex disobeyed willfully? I am so confused by this logic. This system makes zero sense. What is the point of going back to court only for them to get put back on the street so to speak, to do it again and again, which is what my ex does. What is the point of “laws” if you’re unwilling to actually enforce them when they’re violated and broken? Now it’s gone from interfering with a few hours here and there to outright withholding them for months at a time. Nobody does anything about it.
What if this happens over the weekend? That’s exactly what my ex did, knowing I wouldn’t be able to get a hold of anyone like lawyer etc. and he knew police would say it’s a civil matter and wouldn’t step in. So what do you do then?

What if they violate a custody order and take them out of state when they’re not supposed to take them out of the county? What do you do
@Mary Rajnah my attorney said that they file something but I needed to have proof. I didn’t have proof only a suspicion
