@@ShadowStrikeI think Abo Ice's behavior was in response to River seeming disinterested and hardly facing him during the routine. NaPoM always pays attention to his competition and usually ends up nodding along. I don't think NaPoM would have made as big a deal about the touching either. Not saying River did anything wrong but just compare their behavior.

Yeah Wing did great! He has that Gene typa musicality tune. I think thats why napom used his shotgun on him to remind them he already beat beatboxers like him.

I genuinely am almost 100% sure that wing wouldve won if he went second. That way wing wouldve had the last counter with "ima go with your style" and not napom doing his own style the way wing did it. The one coin toss decided the outcome of the gbb probably.

Think about it. Napom did that you can't roll like this thing since 2015. I can expect what napom's gonna do in the final, But Wing is not. Napom makes me just don't want to watch the battle. Name won the battle.

I see he went with the alexinho approach when he trolls a lot and does crazy beats in between, i think its more entertaining for the crowd and brings more energy. However, I Still think wing got the 1st for me, but Napom crushed the second, therefore Napom was just slightly better for me.

i very much agree with dlow praising napom's layed back approach. it doesn't have to be as clowny as he does it, sure. but vibing on stage, being spontaneous (at least seemingly), energetic and real adds so much to the performance. a real human beatbox. the opposite is to just awkwardly stand on the stage and tightly perform the routines you practised, no matter what happens around you. however it's still a thing that should be weighed cautiously, otherwise we will end up not crowning the best beatboxer but whoever is the most confident and comfortable on stage.

This was the only battle result I disagreed with in GBB23 solo. Wing should have won this. More original, structured, clean, and complex. NaPoM had the energy and crowd control, but that's not enough to overcome all of the above.

Wing was more technical,clean more complex and overall just better.
And dont get me wrong but my opinion is that napom was meh he just got the crowd control.And of course he was powerful but yeah.He used roll like this and you never heard a drop like that and even tho these are routines,after time its just boring and repetitive.
And his drop with the sucker punches sounded similar to the drop in his elims.

The way I see this battle, I reckon that 1st ro winner is clearly WING including all the precision of sophisticated texture, cleanness, and structure whereas NaPoM showed a bit disappointing counter ‘I want it’ However, crowd control is also a part of battle points. After watching Wing vs NaPoM, I kinda miss BBU format for some reasons

napom's round 2 vs wing to me felt like same stratergy of napom in 2017 against dlow , napom is known to take beatboxers down by showing how much skill he has , for example napom's round2 vs wing ,napom showed his counter ,rolling lips mouth pressure , liproll subbass , liproll subbass echo by slaping mic on lips , then his last segment music where he use his unique nose whisper cough. overall napom is a good illusionist he can make judges feel like he did more beats than his opponent , and all his segments are so consistent and thats why judges favour toward napom

Because of decisions like this, i feel that beatbox is elitist community. I am a none beatboxer viewer and even for me Napom's rounds sound recycled and very similar, i have no idea about techniques they used here, i can hear the power of Napom though, but for my ear Wing was just more balanced and better
Wing is possibly more popular than Napom though.. Napom is just a better battler: he’s got so much experience countering and attacking his opponents beats. Napom does things that others don’t and he can feel the energy because of his vast experience. Wing prolly would’ve beaten anyone else tbh.

What does "clip the speaker" mean?
Putting a sound through it that's so loud it maxes out the speaker cone's movement range, "clipping off" the top and bottom of the sound wave.

I feel like D-Low missed something with his analysis. I think Wing was directly attacking Napom saying “making music not for the battle”, as if Napom’s sets weren’t musical and just noise. And Napom’s response was to make fun of Wing’s idea of music by being over-the-top delicate and underpowered.
Still, one of the best battles ever - great sportsmanship, sniping each other’s styles, counters, mutual appreciation, and high level beatbox. I keep coming back to this one.
