    So, looking at things
Fire badgers: not great, but a nice way to hedge against fang shield without having to go for vulcans.
The big sledgehammers I've already forgotten the name of: the remover of all things sledgehammer. It one shots them, they do very little to it. Much like a fortress. The missile interceptor upgrade is pretty pathetic, but thats to be expected for a unit which is already designed as a frontline bruiser, it just helps out against missiles, rather than shutting them down completely like a warfactory does.
Then the typhoon is sorta wierd. Its sorta filling the same role as a mustang as an all purpose shooter, but it's worse against chaff due to not having explosive ammo (edit: they actuallyhave 5 meters splash. Thats only 2 less than stangs explosive ammo, so I'msuprisedthey did that badly versus the wasps. Guess it was being level 1?) However, that little missile barrage could maybe snipe some marksmen or stormcallers in the back, which would be quite significant. And of course, them having access to barrier is really nice. Just a lot of HP, and covers against vulcans or firecallers for any chaff running forward
Ranking wpuld probably be big sledges B; Typhoon B, maybe C; fire badgers D. Maybe F. Far from the strongest units you can pick, but in the right game they could definitely be worth investing in.
Regardless, it's new units you can obtain only through cards, after which you can build them freely. Exactly what i wanted.

Something to add about the Fire Badger to hopefully get it to avoid your F rank, if not to convince you it's a C-tier unit which I think it is.
the fact it is only 200 units and its 9 m/s ( 50% faster than the Vulcan ) makes it a decent option to deal with wide boards, aggro boards or flanking chaff.
As much as people make Speed Specialist out to be a meme, speed is not to be underestimated.
It is effectively a cheaper Vulcan that trades some survivability and AOE for everything else.
It's probably going to be a very effective tool to automatically win the chaff war if you do not start with AOE units just like Vulcan.
It only need to connect to 1 or 2 packs of crawlers to pay for itself and Napalm tech on a unit that cheap is kind of nutty to boot.
Unlocking Vulcan early on to win chaff battles is only possible with Giant Specialist, so its going to be MUCH more flexible.
Also being 3 units instead of 1 has some benefits vs a lot of giant killers as it won't get destroyed by death rays. ( also does not give free money if the opponent picks up Giant Hunter)
And which field maintenance it might work as a mini tank unit.

Also Vulcan unlocked got nerfed to 200, which means you can unlock and buy 1 Vulcan or get 3 of these. Still die to Scorpions tho lmao

@@MegaHuntress I don't think speed helps this unit out that much. 9m/s isn't great. Like, the vulcan has what, 50 meter range advantage on it? That's just over 5 seconds of travel time just to catch up. It's not massive, but potentially significant.
Anyway, the point of the vulcan mention isn't that the vulcan is better. It's that with most normal chaff clear (arclights and sledgehammers, mainly), fang shield can be popped, and will be a massive power swing. You really need vulcans to deal with it effectively (explosive ammo mustangs also work, but are very vulnerable to vulcans being dropped on you). But vulcans are a big investment, esspecially now the unlock price has gone up, so you really don't want to predrop vulcans to counter a pickup your opponent might not get. However, fire badgers are relatively cheap, and will rip apart fang shields like they weren't even there, even though they are way worse than vulcans, letting you prepare for fang shields (and have quite serviceable chaff clear) with a relatively small investment.
Still think they are D tier though. good in there niche, got nothing going on outside of that. Even ignite probably won't do much when fangs can get it too, and are about as likely to connect on something of significance with it.

would've been good to see gold values on each side, but all in all not super excited by the rare units, they fill roles I already didn't have an issue filling. Still just going chaff + sledges, into fortress or overlords, with some wiggle room for mid tier units to counter whatever opponent is doing.

I think what the flame badger lacks in range it makes up for in its speed. that is like close to Mustang levels of travel speed. And basically having a bunch of mini Vulcans on the field as chaff clear would be a good in between if you're in need of a Vulcan but can't afford one either due to resources or because it's outside the build.

At the moment I feel the fire badgers are underpowered. Other units that cost the same or even less sometimes, do a better job at fixing problems then them. About the only use for them is if you need a vulcan but your opponent has giant hunter on. Typhoons are a tiny bit too strong across the board, the mammoth tank too cheap for all the calories, and the badger needs a buff.

The anti-missile tech was horrendously inaccurate.
So to me, it just feels like a less flexible sledgehammer with terrible Anti rocket options.
The others I can see some use cases for.

Badger: honestly I think it's decent. Good chaff clear is always nice, and some % damage for big boys
Tank: solid midline unit that can slightly weaken missile barrages. They also seem to take a pretty decent beating, and are the BANE of any medium unit.
    Typhoon: just make mustangs.
