So, thing that came up in this video
You sold the Rhino on the flank. This was a good move, as it would have been feeding his Wraith.
However, you had a tech on that Rhino. And the cost of that tech wasn't refunded. Which put you at a monetary disadvantage for the rest of the game. So do be aware of when you're likely to sell a unit later, and don't buy techs on it.

Another item is buying another Rhino somewhere else, bassically earns the money back

Unless you KNOW are going to be buying more of them, which would also have been a valid form of chaff clear if he got a few on the frontline.
It might have worked just fine as the opponent did not have any good counters to Rihno early on.
But yeah, don't invest tech in a unit you are going to sell if you do not plan to make more of them the next round.
You generally want to avoid getting tech on a unit when you only have 1 or 2 of them unless you REALLY NEED IT or have a high-level unit, preferably with a item
Sometimes it is ok to not spend all your money too.
The Scorpion Range and Rihno Whirlwind is nice and all... but getting tech for 1 unit is very wasteful and very rarely a good investment.
And if you really want to dump money you can get elite units instead or upgrade the right tower for a global buff.
Or spend it on an upgrade you are very likely to get any way on a unit you would NEVER sell like Replicate on crawlers.

Range in the Scorpion did pay off, but thats a scorpion, so long as they are shooting and not dieing they get value, just a ton of damage and AoE, nothing else really has the same effect.
