Thanks Gina for all that you’re doing in taking time making these video’s to help those who are going to have or have had pacemaker surgery. These video’s with post-op exercises are great to know and a big help in aiding along with the healing process. Again, thank you for posting these videos, they’re very helpful, encouraging, & much appreciated. ;)
How long were people in pain for. I'm a mth post surgery, and still have unbearable pain. I've been told it's because I'm slim. Anyone else have this issue with pain❤
Thank you for the helpful advice! (I’m day 2 after my pacemaker surgery) Yes, pillows definitely help, and having a helper to help with the dressing is nice. One thing that I saw from another video, was the suggestion of when going to bed of not putting your arm through the sleeve of your tee shirt or pjs to effectively keep your arm on the pacemaker side pined the your side (avoiding moving your arm above your head when sleeping)... anyway thx for the advice, I will be looking at your other videos for exercise tips!
I had pacemaker placed in September I have found that sleeping with a pillow helps. Sleeping upright or on my side. Bras still hurt. I tucky strap under my arm. Seatbelts. I saw to wear as normal but place a towel or something to pad the seatbelt from the device is helpful.
Great tips. I'm one week out and YES my recliner is my best friend. Today I have to go for one week check up and was trying to figure out the bra situation. Thank you for this video!
Sticky bras help as well. Im 5 days post op and the bra is holding up well. It has no straps. Just peal the tabs place over breasts and the sides stick to you.
If you are still a bit sore or apprehensive, I don’t see why you couldn’t postpone for a few months. I didn’t find it painful when I had mine but I think it was a bit longer than 6 months following.
I’m getting my pacemaker in 2 weeks. These have been great ideas for me. I just ordered a sling and a sleeping wedge for my bed to help prop me up. I slept in the recliner after a neck surgery and I DON’T want to do that again. I’m going with no bra and button up shirts. 😊 Just don’t know what’s going to happen with my hair washing/styling. 😂 Thank you. ❤
I have never feel a thing. It is my understanding that a pacemaker will not ever give you a feeling of shock. ICDs can on occasion. You’ll do great! I forget I have one!
Thank you. I never thought about getting dressed. Good video
Thank you

I want to know is it a must to go for a mammogram 6months after pacemaker procedure?
