Richard clearly states at the beginning of Round 1, "We are looking for the FULL first name of any US President..." so how is Cal an acceptable answer??!!
@@JayTempleI do think that the reason it was pointless is because 'Cal' was incorrect so nobody said it, but i would guess there would be some who said 'Calvin' that was correct.
@@patriciag6030 Either Richard was wrong in what he said before the answers , or it was wrong to accept 'Cal' .One of them has to be wrong OK, so i'll go with 'Cal'.
@@nevillemignot1681 it's one of those grey areas as he was commonly at the name known as Cal, like would you accept Jimmy if someone said it even though Carter was born James?
I can’t believe speedy Gonzales scored so low. I clearly spent too much time watching cartoons. Now if it had been his brother slowpoke Gonzales I would have understood
Going with Rutherford, Cecil Turtle, Petunia Pig, Uruguay, Garth Stubbs, Sport & Leisure, & for the bonus round I’m gonna say Gary Cooper, Lionel Barrymore, & Art Carney.
Also Cleveland's first name was originally Stephen, Grant was Hiram Ulysses and it was Thomas Woodrow Wilson. The biggest change though would have been going from Lesley Lynch King Jr to Gerald Ford.

It shouldn't be accepted at all, since his full name was John Calvin Coolidge.

As an American I am shocked that Millard (as in Fillmore) wasn’t pointless. Great knowledge!
I think because it's such as odd name that people remember it.

to answer richard's question of who would knock england out of the world cup in 2010, it was germany again.
Dwight D. Eisenhower was in fact born David Dwight Eisenhower.
Ulysses, Lyndon, Herbert, Barack are some more obscure ones though people likely said Barack since he was so recent
he wasn't just recent when this was filmed he was in office
how is cal right. His name is calvin
This is old, the standards were very liberal.

You are the opposite of funny.
Grover Cleveland went by his middle name. His first name was actually Stephen.
My go to would be my dad's favorite president Chester Alan Athur.
Fun fact: Since this first aired, Meryl Streep has become a correct answer.
Too bad Mel Blank wasn't mentioned!
When did Xander stop telling people they didn't have that Pointless knowledge. I imagine they found it a bit annoying.
Maybe by the following series? This was Series 2, BTW.
Not as much as you i seems........
Can someone tell Richard he ent funny
Actually the show was wrong Eisenhower was born David Dwight Eisenhower but switched his names later on.
