    Konstantinov...one of the greatest hitters in NHL history. such a shame.

  • @bumpofcoke
    @bumpofcoke 11 лет назад +2

    Kronner's patented hit is thrilling and clever, but Vlady's overall play was much more aggressive and mean. Someone gets "Kronwalled" every once and a while, but Konstantinov dished out a hard hit every couple of shifts. That being said, I think both are equally awesome hitters.

    sports always has a lot of "what ifs". but the vladdy accident is the worst. no telling how many cups the wings would've won. nor what a career he would have had. no, he won't be forgotten.

  • @VM38

    fedorov never looked more handsome on the ice than when he was wearing a red wings jersey. and i'm not even a wings fan :s i wish they'd pick him up for one last stint.

    I don't hold any ill will towards Sergei, he was one of the reasons the Wings went from pure shit to contenders.

    Add in the Grind Line, and the late '90s Red Wings were an awesome team. Coached by Scotty? Not fair at all.... ;-)

    I agree -- one of the great what-ifs of hockey, wondering how many Norris Trophies he would have won by now. Either that, or he could have easily become an actor to play a villain in a James Bond movie...

    i know its not really fair because hes only around 40 and probably still can play hockey if he has not been in that car accident. Same with Pavel Bure too his career been cut short due to injuries.

    it was not actually soviet union you know they said this was in the 95 when the Russian five was complete. The soviet union fell in 1991 so its more correct to call them Russia.

  • @7b8bk95y
    @7b8bk95y 13 лет назад +3

    @PHDLUV8 This guy has no idea what the hell he is talking about. I'm Russian and I don't feel disdain or consider them traitors. As a matter of fact, I don't know ANYONE in Russia who considers them traitors. They are people, who saw an upportunity to earn more by playing abroad. PERIOD. They didn't sell out government secrets. They are hockey players and they chose what would allow them to realise their potential. And they fucking did just that. (P.S. traitors don't play for the national team.
