- Here is my footage of two Jubilee Class steam engines 45690 'Leander' and 45699 'Galatea' running together on their light engine movement from York to Carnforth on Sunday 11th October 2015. The path for 5Z49 used the line over Copy Pit because of engineering work between Skipton and Hellifield. Thanks to my son Martin for the first shot and it was just a shame they didn't have a few more carriages on!!!!
Hope you enjoy.
What a sight, well done to you and martin Phil for capturing this rare working...Regards...Bob
+Robert Masterman Thanks for watching Bob and it certainly would be nice to see the pair let loose on a tour over the Northern hills.

Certainly a rare sight seeing both Jubilee's double heading as both engines have never worked a tour while double heading but they have been seen working an E&C move to Carnforth double heading. Will be interesting though when we've got the 3rd jubilee no 45596 Bahamas running again as would love to see her double head with one of the other 2 jubilee's or if it was to happen another triple header like they did with 48151, 45699 & 46115 Scots Guardsman, this one being 45596 Bahamas leading, 45690 Leander in the middle & 45699 at the back.
Thanks again and the thought of a triple header does sound interesting.
The sight of 3 jubilee's in steam though should become a reality near the end of 2017 but as for seeing 45596 on the mainline that wont be until 2018 im afraid (Being a member of the Bahamas Loco society myself I was told this by one of the chaps in charge).
The first shot is just north of Portsmouth. No longer a tall signal box, nor the goods loop...............just the minimal railway. Great shots.........What kind of cameras where both you and Martin using for these shots?
+James Hennighan Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed. I have Panasonic cameras which seam up to the job they handle most thinks well enough.
Lovely footage Phil do you know what the problem was with Galatea after her failure at Scarborough. C&A
+EMuksteam Thanks for watching C&A and I was led to believe that the problem with Galatea was a flat battery at Scarborough.
Regards Phil.
Thank you for the information....but which model Panasonics?
