A family member sent me this clip when I was crippled with the loss of my friend as well as a rather unfortunate series of events that just put me on my ass. But I was stubborn to talk to anyone. This video helped me. This clip should be perserved for all time. Its a gift.
A lot of professional wrestlers' improvisational skills are very underrated. One thinks that since everything is scripted, they just go thru the motions but rarely do things go as planned all the time. It doesn't surprise me at all to see clips like these where they say the coolest off-the-cuff things on the fly. Ric Flair was the master at saying funny things spontaneously during his promos.

We started to walk around and out of no where as if it was fate, my grandfather and I had Macho AND Hollywood walk up to us outside the arena building and they thanked my grandfather for his service in the army, got a picture of Macho Man holding me and Hollywood posing next to him. What baffled us even more was they got us in behind the announcers table by the rink. Both are such awesome dudes.
That is sooooooo cool!!!! Loved watching them both for sure. Andre, Zeus, Jake the snake, ultimate warrior, WWF THOSE were the days!!
Having courage or bravery doesn’t mean you’re not doubting or scared. It means you showed up anyway and did the best you could. Thanks Macho Man oooohh YEAH
YEEEEEA
@Billy William “Courage is not the towering oak that sees storms come and go; it is the fragile blossom that opens in the snow.”
Courage us being scared to death and saddling up anyway to get the job done
DIG IT
Absolutely nailed it.
Randy Savage was the dad we never realised we all needed
Listen youngsters, this is some of the best life advice you can get.
That was amazing. In a "sport" filled with a zillion characters, he was truly one of a kind.
There was only one, and there never will be another Macho Man
It's less a sport and more a performance art.
This quote can honestly save someone’s life.
From what I can tell from the comments it has.
perhaps the most underrated motivational speech ever delivered
Macho man really was a last of a dying breed.
One of the few moments when he just decided to be a real human, not even worrying about his image which his career is based on. Many young men's jaws hit the floor that night
It takes a stronger man to admit he is hurting emotionally, then to hide it
I knew him when he was playing Baseball - that is his real voice and real speech cadence.
This man was a real life superhero. After 20 years of addiction this is what I needed to hear. Thank you Macho Man Randy Savage you legit just made me a better man. I grew up watching you as a child. RIP.
We can all be Macho Men, brother. Keep fighting
Stay well bro, hope it’s all okay.
I was expecting a tirade about coffee, and here I got a dose of positive masculinity.
You gotta at least have a cup of coffee in the big time
Or as the rest of us call it:
Masculinity.
Take it all in 😊
CREAM OF THE CROP
I would have guessed cocaine
And people wonder why my generation absolutely adores these larger than life cartoon-esque characters but after examples like this how can you not love these personalities?!
RIP Macho
I really needed this today. Rip macho man…gone but never forgotten.
I’m dealing with trying to taper off of alcoholism safely. Little by little, I’m tapering down. Yesterday I was at rock bottom and scared to death. This video just happened to pop up. I’m thankful for seeing this, and Randy’s incredible insight and words of wisdom. Thank you, Randy! RIP. Thank you God for yer another chance and another day!
Thanking God is paramount. You have a good goal & I'm out here pulling for you too.
A day at a time brother. An hour at a time if that's what it takes.
WE are rooting for You. You do the best thing You! Crawling back out of myself, we all love ya!
You guys rock!!! I’m hanging in there. Life sucks at the moment, yet beautiful! Thanks for the support!!!
I’ve been there brother. Only those who have slithered with the snakes understand how hard it is. Whatever helps, be it this video or anything else you can hang onto, grab it tight and slowly pull yourself up. You got this!
People discredit the man for being a "musclehead clown" but the man was deeper than just a meathead
Macho always made time for his young fans no matter what, that's a true sign of a great performer.
Almost all people called just meat heads are much more than that as people.
He was an incredibly good entertainer.
Its an insult by insecure weaklings that feel the need to compensate even when they lack smarts themselves.
@Paul Gauthier faaaaaaak the hulk hugan! I fak his az wit a becks beer bottle!! fak hiz az make him humbell!
The world is a better place because of him.
Only Randy Savage could navigate the waters of the time he lived in, and the desire to help young men in the 1990s. As he surely did.
That suit was on fleek.
I dont know what that means but it sounds sweet
@@threatassessment606 "it sounds sexual so ill roll with it"
Stfu
It’s always impressive to me when someone can stay in character for their entire career and every single time a camera is on them
I don't think it was too hard for him.
Notice at the end he say be a Macho maniac, man was very well aware of the diversty of his fan base ❤ true legend of the craft.
Not one single word is out of place. He will always be the king of the quote.
Such a good quote and that was completely off the cuff. Yah he had a decade or more of monologues to pull from but to be able to put it together like that on the spot during a late night cable interview shows how good of a talker this dude was.
--i needed this today, shit’s been a lil shaky lately-rip macho man 💪🏽
How are things?
@@SpaceboundJoker All’s well my brother, hoping the same with you 🤘🏽 Cheers. This Macho wisdom is so uplifting. 💪🏽
@@juanruiz2409 if Macho Man can get thrown around by Andre the Giant up and down the road and still come out ahead you can at least do what you need to
I needed this today so glad in not the only one. Keep on keeping On 💯 stay safe and happy holidays to all!!
@@Leonidas6674 Happy holidays, hope all's well ✊
You're missed Macho Man! RIP
OH YEAH!!! I was a Macho Maniac back in the 80's. He had the greatest interviews while wrestling. His persona was unmatched. RIP BROTHA!!!!
Growing up as a kid.. it was Hogan, Warrior and Macho Man for me. But as I got older and heard more and more stories and shoot interviews… Macho Man is firmly my number one. RIP Randy. You are sorely missed.
He melts my heart, I love you Randy, so inspiring
The fact he’s kind of improvising this act on the spot goes a long way to proving he was the greatest act professional wrestling has ever known. I’ll always be your biggest fan Randy.
Yeah, you can tell he's getting his thoughts in order and buying time with that big long "aaaaannnnndd". Only took him a second to construct one of the most positive messages ever spoken on air. What a titan.
I could cry just from the sheer greatness of this clip. What an awesome guy he was.
I love how he slides the "yeah" in there so smoothly.
I had a cry today as work pressures got the better of me. This clip of Macho Man really cheer me up. It's OK to cry 😢
Totally is. Sometimes it’s that release of emotion that helps you get through the painful moments (instead of just letting depression rot your mind) and actually deal with your life by just resetting your priorities.
Makes me feel like a kid again every time I hear him!!
Exactly
Jesus Christ... this professional wrestler was more inspirational than our political and spiritual leaders. Wow...
This is unironically one of the best pieces of advice you can get.
A family member sent me this clip when I was crippled with the loss of my friend as well as a rather unfortunate series of events that just put me on my ass. But I was stubborn to talk to anyone. This video helped me. This clip should be perserved for all time. Its a gift.
Lost my job yesterday. This just so happened to pop up in my feed. Perfect timing.
Great talent, charisma, a display of a real person, coming from an unlikely place. Goes to show what a great human being he was. Rest in power.
Randy was just the real deal. Great in ring, untouchable on the mic, witty, kind, and always willing to talk to fans.
Miss that dude
Amen
One of the greatest professional wrestlers, gimmicks, personalities YOU NAME IT! Randy “Macho Man” Savage is still missed deeply to this day. He should never be forgotten, should be remembered for generations to come!
I always loved that he includes “take the standing 8 count”. You don’t have to get back up immediately, you can take time to heal as long as you get back up
Man this is so healthy for young kids to hear. I miss the old days.
We need a role model like this for today’s kids.
That "DIG IT" at the end is phenomenal.
"Okay your middle name is Macho. But I'm wondering if you ever cry. Has Macho Man ever cried?" - TV Show Host
"Oh yeah. It's okay for Macho men to show every emotion available right there you know because I've cried a thousand times. I'm gonna cry some more but I've soared with the Eagles and I've slithered with the Snakes and I've been everywhere in between. And I'm gonna tell you something right now. There's one guarantee in life and that there are no guarantees. Yeah. And! I understand this. Yeah. Nobody likes a quitter. Nobody said life was easy so if you get knocked down take the standing eight count, get back up and fight again, and you're a Macho Maniac. Dig it!" - Macho Man Randy Savage
MachoMan speaking with so much wisdom here cause he's lived such a rough life. Rip the real GOAT
It's scary when the algorithm shows you things didn't know you needed, when you needed them the most
“I’ve soared with the eagles and I’ve slithered with the snakes and I’ve been everywhere inbetween”
I have to say, I never warmed up to the whole Wrestling thing, I find it too silly... but this video has changed my outlook on it.
Macho Man Randy Savage gets out a *really* awesome message in a very clever way on the spot... and he does so while staying 100% _in-character the entire time_ and that's just brilliant.
I’ve heard this advice from a few people in a few forms, but I have to say that it really hits different hearing it from the Macho Man himself. I needed this today. Thanks.
I forgot just how much I liked Randy Savage. He was great.
The best part about this is that his response was immediate. He didn't pause to think about how admitting to crying might hurt his career.
The Macho Man was really underrated and under appreciated in both WWF & WCW
I don't know who else needed to hear this... but I sure as hell did.
I broke down in tears hearing this video
Truly a gift to this world. You're loved and missed, Randy.
This is why Macho Man will always be my favorite of the Golden Era. He could be over the top but also very much down to earth with the things he'd say. Sadly I'll never get to see him live but despite being in his prime before I was even born, I still hold him as one of the GOATs. Macho Man Randy Savage keeping it 💯
Snap into a healthy mindset and positive coping skills!!!!
Seriously, how does anybody not live their life by that quote?! Life's tough, we all need to get back up and get back at it. I know that's hard, I really do. I'm living that way myself right now. But just try to get up and do it. I know that's hard to hear, I really do but that's what you got to do. Stay strong my brothers and sisters, we will get through this, if we try. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Poetry for the average Joe from man who radiates pure charisma my tears and heart break for you Randy rest in peace you helped more than you know from a macho maniac long live the macho king!
That man was such a gift.
I really miss this guy. RIP Mr. Randy Savage.
Randy is literally speaking from personal experience. He wanted a career in professional baseball that didn't go into his favor, and eventually found himself trying out for wrestling and having massive success in that. Great words of advice!
RIP Macho Man.
100%
100%
100% CORRECT!
"Take the standing 8 count, get back up and fight again."
All my respect 🙏
Truly this man was a gift to us all.
Nobody had the kind of personality and charisma that The Macho Man brought into the sports/entertainment industry. He had a style all his own.
I knew him when he played baseball - that is the way he talks! That is his natural voice and cadence
What a legend. Thanks for the memories Macho. Rest in Peace my friend.
I love this guy. He shouldn’t be gone. Like a comet who flew just close enough to admire and fully taken in. And then unfairly gone.
Macho man knows whats up, its all right to cry once in a while, dont bottle the emotions up. we all hurt once in a while, let it out. nothing more badass than being vulnerable in front of others, it takes courage.
I love you macho man! I’m wearing your shirt right now! You will always be apart of me and my life!!
Miss you Randy. Real American legend through and through
I like to take a moment out of each day and get down on my knees, and pray thanks to any god that will listen for the gift he bestowed upon humanity by creating the Macho Man Randy Savage. Then I watch this video of some classic Arsino Hall and the words of wisdom from the bard of the squared circle himself. R.I.P. Macho Man.
Such wholesome wisdom he gives here, "No guarantees in life" "Try hard to achieve and don't be a quitter" and "You can be a strong man and still show emotion"
For somebody to act like the hardest man there ever was to say yes I’ve cried a thousand times and I’m gonna cry some more shows how Macho the man really was.
And that’s why we all love Mach!
