I saw Andre live as a kid and he came up to us before climbing in the ring. Very cool guy. RIP Andre
Was he really that biggg
I patted him on the shoulder from the stands when he entered the arena in the late '70s in Cambridge Ontario Canada.
Thank you for keeping this great interview around with Andre he was a class act on n off the screen
What a Gentleman and Kind soul. Miss this guy so much. Watching him wrestle helped make my childhood magical.
He sounds like a giant too
An incredible athlete, entertainer, and person who passed why to soon..
this guy was the gentle giant whole time smiling may he rest in peace
He may have been big in stature. But he was even BIGGER IN HEART AND SOUL...!!! RIP Andre you were one of a kind.
What a wonderful interview, and Andre was GREAT! :)
Rip big guy gone but never forgotten 😪💔
He was so polite 😢
Thanks for posting this, what a humble amazing man with exceptional genetics. He truly is a giant and he looks very similar in the face to Lou Ferrigno.
I don't see any resemblance to Lou Ferrigno LOL
This was a great interview. Homeboy was great to Andre... They enjoyed each other !
One of the sweetest guys who ever lived.
He was in the best shape of his life during this interview.
No his peak is some yrs before but he's definitely. Still super strong and healthy here
We probably wont be blessed with someone like Andre ever again, he was something else. Made 12oz cans look like shot glasses, could drink several cases of beer without needing to pee or even feeling it, was so strong he could flip cars over, but was the nicest person in the world if you treated him with respect.
I always loved Andre The Humble Giant as a child his countenance was so gentle it removed any fear because of his larger than most stature. He was always the same genuinely kind soul!
When I was a kid, in Quebec he was known as *Jean Ferré.* Wrestling was a big thing here by the time and he was a hero to all of us.
And does that translate to Andre the giant or something else?
@@zenruh8150 well, I don’t have the exact information about this, but my “theory” is that he was somehow called “le _Géant Ferré_ “ as the “Iron Giant” in France that turned into “Jean Ferré” in Quebec. André was his real first name I believe. But hey, that’s only my own mythology about him.
@@zenruh8150 Vince gave him the name Andre the giant.
@@NicleT Grand Ferré was the legendary French soldier from the 100 years war. He was apparently a mountain of a man who killed 85 people in one battle with an axe
@@RobwLPOC Yeah he was the first peasant hero in France in popular consciousness, whereas to be a Hero was generally reserved for Knights and Nobles.
This man could drink over 100 beers in one sitting and has done it on many occasions .. he was legendary amongst all the wrestlers of the time!!
He would order wine by the boxes.
Stone cold Steve Austin: Who wants a can of whoop as
Andre the giant: HOLD MY BEER
@Yuck Foutube means nothing .. his record is 127 beer in one sitting .. 127BEeR, man!!
@@fortunatoofamontillado1059 156 actually
no big deal i can dink about 98
He’s so sweet here. Just nice and down to earth and humble.
The 1975 version of the Guiness Book of World Records had Andre listed as the highest paid professional wrestler in the world. He was making $400K USD
Today that 2.3 million
Andre was a gift to the world. Kind hearted giant with a wonderful personality.
Such a gentle giant! Love him!
A big friendly giant! 😄
After hearing all wrestlers, managers, etc. talk about Andre, they are correct. What a sweet human Andre was.
He was racist backstage
Memories of the past on Australian Tv!
RIP Andre, Don & Bert, all were legends in their time!
Love the interviewer. Totally respectful of an anomaly. Andre was a huge human being, but a human being first.
One of my favorite pictures of Andre is the one where he is holding a beer can, and it looks like it is the size of one of those small V8 cans. His hands are gigantic
I look up Shaq holding water bottles every now and then just for a quick laugh.
@@FirstFamilyChargerhuge, yes.. but still nowhere near the size of Andre's hands tho
Andre is one of the all time greats.
He was actually a very smart man too, which I didn't know.
Love the set. It’s so beautiful. The interview is so modern. This is awesome. Thank you!
He had such a great heart
Why a really nice interview. Andre was a pretty good guy. And filled with Class.
I really miss Andre ☹️
When it mattered most he passed the torch to Hogan as the top🥇guy.
Andre protected the wrestling business & when asked he gave back to the business that helped make him.
To me that is true class act & the measure of a man is his word as his bond.
Andre was such a professional.
The admiration Hulk Hogan has for him to this day still touches my ❤️ & soul.
Andre is most definitely 1 of the 4 on my Mount Rushmore of wrestling legends.
Definitely 💚😢
Andre the Giant was very very strong! Here's one of the strongest men I've ever seen in real life!
That's insane that Andre The Giant was the SECOND tallest person in his family.
Andre was always a gentleman with everybody he was truly the one and only giant RIP ANDRE
So much respect to this host letting Andre speak the man had such a big heart but sad that he got treated by people Rest In Peace Andre you are missed and love by so many 😪❤
