My wife just had breast cancer , we caught it early and luckily we caught it quickly and treated it and it was caught and it looks like a clear diagnosis .

I have to say that I didn’t know much about her b4. This interview was very eye opening and honest. Not only is she gorgeous, but she’s down to earth and real. I wish her health and healing 🙏🏼

I used to watch her on Attack of the Show! She has always seemed like such a genuinely nice person.
All the sort of screening an ordinary American would never get - mammogram and sent home, then every visit to the hospital visit would show a clear mammogram and they would be stage four before they could treat it
Some very mean comments here. I hope you never have to suffer what this woman has been through. No one is perfect, what does it say about your empathy, compassion and forgiveness? This is a harsh world with people making it either better or worse. My heart goes out to anyone suffering in any form.

Thats scary, i have had lumps down through the years. All normal, just literally had a mammogram, ultrasound done this week. We can have cancer that we don't realise and it can go. I wonder if that could've been the case.
I was told in 2004 when I had my hysterectomy that even if they took my ovaries, I could still get ovarian cancer later. Is that true?
This is heartbreaking but her coming forward is a game changer. The most shocking part is that a mammogram did not reveal any of this .....

Does anyone know why she ended up scoring so high on that Lifetime Risk Assessment? She doesn't carry a mutated BRCA gene. She had clean mammograms and ultrasounds.

You can google and take the test yourself. It was likely due to family history of cancer
@@fluffyclouds555 she vaguely mentions a couple of aunts having breast cancer but it doesn't explain her score. My mother died of breast cancer at 47 and my maternal grandmother had ovarian cancer. My score was not nearly as high as Olivia's. Her circumstances are confusing. Even my extremely proactive breast specialist would not order an MRI after a negative mammogram. Yearly MRI is already part of the rotation for high risk people though. It's baffling that Olivia wasn't already doing these things if she was so high risk. Surveillance starts way before 40 if you have family history.
Olivia is so amazing - can't believe they didn't mention Attack of the Show.

Would be helpful to know what criteria made her score high on the Lifetime Risk Assessment. Since her scans and genetic tests were fine. Did she have a family history?
It seems like it based on the test questions. Anyone can take the test online.
@@fluffyclouds555 Thanks for mentioning that the test is online as I just took it. I actually had a couple of different test scores on a recent mammogram since the diagnostic center asks the same questions. Luckily, I'm at a lower than average risk for women of my age and race.

I wouldn't wish any form of cancer on my worst enemy.
That being said, thankfully she will be perfectly fine, physically. Aesthetics will be her only problem.
Most people who find themselves with a cancer diagnosis aren't that lucky.
I hope she focuses on counting her blessings rather than the negatives.

I want to know why the hell mammogram did not pick the cancer up?
They're not 100% effective in detecting cancer, especially if you have dense breast tissue, which is rather common. It specifically says that in your radiology report.
I will tell you that with my depression I wish it would have given her the energy and the strength that lupron gave me. It also made my fibroid smaller

Everyone can access it online. Google it. It takes only a few minutes
Google it. You can take the test online for free. The questions are the same that a good diagnostic center asks prior to getting a mammogram to asses your lifetime risk score.
MRIs are better screening tests since mammograms are only 60% accurate when you have dense breasts. That’s why many mammo results are clean because they can’t detect small tumors in dense breasts. MRIs should be the prevented test and covered by insurance but we all know that will be a big challenge! Her story is helpful & should get us to ask our doctors about the risk assessment test, etc. We have to advocate for ourselves & share experiences so others can learn & apply.
MRIs of the breasts are usually covered and can be beneficial for women with genetic mutations, family history, etc. It would create too many false positives in the average female population, rather like ultrasounds. The chance of detecting early-stage cancer in low- and average-risk women via MRI is actually quite small compared to false positives. Most women with dense breast tissue, which is common, do not develop breast cancer in their lifetime, but it's best that women discuss any concerns with their medical provider.

life can change at any point... the entire point of my writings to make somehow public understand and ll of it can be done with new discussions shows 'Reorient your thinking' turn new leaf as human beings..but i wouldn't do all of this on just a premise..go fr out of state diagnosis and ask various test... evil in people lives can come in many forms...why? because somebody cannot stand your beauty good fortune and lot of other factors of successes...

Has a right to want a biological child just like anyone else. I did three rounds of IVF for my daughter. Had tons of support from my adopted mom. Adoption is great. You should adopt.
