I had a virtual interview for a HR position. I wore a suit (but wore sweat pants) and my cat jumped on the back of my chair during the interview. I did get the the job. It is good advice
And make sure to let all housemates know that you'll be in an interview/something important, and not to bother you during! You really don't want your family or roommate stepping in to ask where you've put the spare mustard mid-interview!! Or whatever other people's housemates do.
Pretty great advice. However, I prefer to let things take their course after I'm done with the interview. If they really. want me and like my skills, they'll let me know. I don't want to send some thank you letter to them for nothing.
There was one time I sat in on an interview and the person was in their car with their camera angled up their nose and eating 🙃 they asked when they would be hearing back about the position and I’m pretty sure my supervisor told them right then they were going in a different direction 😅
I prepared good lighting but I only tested it with my phone and it turned out to be too bright for my computer camera (I looked like a ghost) and then I had to change the interview place three minutes before the interview. I just hate how poor cameras computers have💀. Also the interviewier didn't have camera on at all which made the interview process so much more uncomfortable😅. Didnt know where to look or how to be since I didn't expect that kind of situation.
I hope you're doing well @benjaminmartinez8181 . Please know that no job, or lack of a job determines your worth as a person. This process of searching, interviewing, and denial is draining and frustrating for sure.
I am so sorry you are going through this. I am in the same boat as you. I’ve put out so many resumes and the majority of them come back as a rejection. I used to get so upset, but now when I get rejected I simply say- it wasn’t meant to be. For whatever reason- I was not meant to have that specific job, and I press forward. Please try and keep your head up!!! Just remember that persistence eventually pays off. There is a job out there for you. I just know it.

Honestly I’ve given up all hope when it comes to getting a job. Had 100 interviews and all of them rejected. I’m thinking of just killing myself.

This is five months late but I hope you're doing okay! Failing interviews is not worth losing your life. The world is a better place with you in it :)
