I'm always amazed at the knowledge, skills and recall of Warren. I know there are probably many other mechanics out there with skills equal to or better, but for a one man show, working in field conditions on the wide variety of equipment he does I can't believe there are many others who can hold a candle to him. Watching him split a tractor into pieces and put it all back together...my idea of a nightmare. Mam, he gets a workout everyday and can probably out work most folks half his age.
It's one thing if you're a poacher/ just shooting shit up for the 'fun of it,' but if you are being hunted by a wild animal and in fear for your life, you should be able to take action to survive. You will most likely lose trying to retreat, so if firing a warning shot or two doesn't work, what choice do you have??? .45 ACP is a great choice, hard to beat the stopping power of them or a .50. a comment was made that warren doesnt have help from his wife. in the last couple months she assisted him on the redecking of his large trailer. was an informative video. as far as working safe, warren appears to be aware of dangers of working alone. he appears to o what he must to earn a living for him and his family. his videos are real like not scripted as are some reality programs. keep the videos coming warren.
Some days things just slide in. Other days it take some fiddling’. Nicely done. When I am working on a bolt that would be tough to get if dropped a towel placed underneath can save a lot of effort.

Weather is getting nice around here. I'm soaking up the cooler air. Wondering if we'll get a light winter. It's therapy to me to be able to work outdoors all day. Yeah yeah eat some dirt, get some crud in your eye, but it's well worth it. Keeps the family fed.

Been anxiously awaiting this video. All my money was on something loose on the pickup tube or worn-out oil pump. I haven't seen low oil pressure from worn bearings in many many years. Maybe the Cats I work on are just better maintained? Someone mentioned the environment our there being a factor. You called it correctly early on so I'm guessing this is something you deal with fairly often.

Remember to be very careful Warren, You seen what happened to Scott Welker of Welker farms, fitting a drawbar that slipped off the jack crushing his arm and shattering the bones, while working on his own, lucky he was not trapped by the 600lb lump, he knows what he did wrong, no support but the jack and no crane to support it too. So you guys Think before taking on some tasks.
He did not use proper equipment to install the draw bar. Sometimes we get complacent about safety because we have been lucky in the past but that's when we become most vulnerable.
It never fails that when a guy is told to call in mile markers, there's 5 guys who just cowboy through without doing so. Cleaned up a few too many industrial road crashes that could have been avoided if guys would have just called in. Yeah that pussy cat (I saw the video), I think the lad ran right into her domain (she must have had cubs with her from the way she was acting). I am quite sure he got home and changed his shorts for sure. She definitely didn't want him going any further up on his run. She was in a defensive mode with the growling and swiping, he did a good job keeping eye contact with her though (more than likely the only reason he's still alive). She pushed him back a good ways before she turned tail and ran back up the road. I really think she was doing the "defensive mamma" more than the going "grocery shopping cougar".. We had to call out markers and road name, down hill loaded trucks had the right away. We’ve had a female Mountain Lion set right outside one of our north living room windows looking in for over 30 minutes. We have Mountain Lions, Bobcats, Black Bear and them dangerous Wild Boars!......Lake Thunderbird (where my ranch is at) in Norman Oklahoma is a regular predator zone. I carry a Ruger SR40 when I’m mowing/brush hogging or if we go out at night to feed the livestock. Already had a Mountain Lion tracking me when I was in the south pasture doing some mowing. Went to turn the tractor and there SHE was. About 100’ behind me. The LAST PLACE I want any big cat to be. Fired a shot and yelled at my wife, “ Big cat headed your way!”...(she carries too)
I am impressed at how you pulled the engine, took it home, rebuilt it, brought it back and installed it only with the help of your dogs and some tools. I have a R-Model Mack that is getting water in the engine oil. Would you come fix it for me. E-6, 350 engine.

I agree with the wok out side, but I like to have the tools etc. there. I dont have a tool truck and my cylinder mower is reasonable size, (40hp 4 cylinder- cutting 150" at a time) I have to get it home - its roadworthy- but one day a main belt or hose will fail, then I will have to use my low loader (small lowboy) to get it home. I also agree about the "visitors". Fixing the Multifarmer in the field will be tricky as it has an ECM to control the engine. (Deutz 120hp)
Bees? Let me tell ya, had put a can of beer down not less than a few seconds and never saw the hornet that entered it. On next sip, I swore up and down, while my compadres laughed in doubt. My lip was swelling, and I was more mad that they were laughing than I missed the beer intruder. On emptying the can (no, I didn't waste it!), here I poured out a black-n-white hornet (bald-faced) of the yellow jacket family. So from then on, my "buddies" referred to my preferred beer as StingLing (aka YeungLing beer and lager). Mind you, I do not take my eyes off my open beer during "bee season". Yes, I was lucky not to have a bad reaction, I don't joke about with others. Now, about farts...
You know Warren I water my honey bees all summer. What happens is they can only cool the hive with water and their little tiny wings. What this tells me about your location is there is no water within 5 miles or they would not need daisies water dish but I am thinking my bees are now through needing water as it is now cool weather. See when they gather nectar the main job is to dehydrate the fluid so it will keep as honey. I love my bees and my dog and they don't bother him any more cause they know he belongs to me.

Hi Ron! You don’t know me. I’m a friend of Warren’s. You are right about working alone. I have been a field service mechanic for 39 years, unfortunately you will work alone most of the time. It is a dangerous profession! It’s not for everyone! You learn to improvise,overcome. 1 out of 10 will make it in heavy equipment field service. The rest end up back in the shop. I like field service and like working alone. But Warren will tell you it’s not with out risk and it is hard on your body. You really have to like what your doing and take the bad with the good and in in field service the bad can be very bad but you just work through it! Field tech’s are a special breed and what Warren offers is a rare look behind the scenes uncut. Warren is top notch in the profession and is a excellent instructor!
Would you mind to give some free advise?? Pulled the heads of my big cam lll to replace the head gaskets, could see #6 cylinder was chaffed/scorned. by the color it seemed to have gotten pretty hot.. I thought it ran great b4. Any ideas??
The old tell tale sign someones been in there- Orange RTV. I hate that shit. Ultra black is my Permatex choice but the best sealant ive used is The Right Stuff. Expensive but works.
