You have to go all the way back to 1999 to discover the roots of the original Vauxhall Zafira, multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). But, in 2011, the car was renamed the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer, and this is where the life of the car we’re testing today all began.
2011 saw the Vauxhall Zafira break into two sizes, and the Tourer was the larger, seven seater model. Eventually the smaller Zafira - as planned - faded away, but the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer never lost its ‘bigger model’ name designation and is now the Griffin-badged company’s only seven-seater - a key car for the firm’s success in Britain.

i've had 1 of these since 2017 with the 1.4 140hp engine and loved every moment with her, unfortunetly it was on motability and as of 01/10/20, i have to replace her with a new car which i'm devastated about because every moment with the zafira has been a joy and pleasure

What is you opinion on 1.4 petrol compared to 1.6 diesel?
I have 1.6 diesel in insignia,more than enough for that heavy car,but zafira looks bigger,Im not really sure that 1.4 petrol suits her the best?

Does anyone know if it would work ok having it in six seats not all seven, so like one third row seat up the other third row seat down? I don't really want to loose all my boot space to a seat that no one would really be sat in.
If it’s not too late for a reply, you are able to have one seat up and one seat down in the third row.
It’s a pity they’ve dropped this car, my wife was going to trade in her Lexus for one.

Fuel economy is shocking in this car. I get 200 miles to an 80 pound full tank. Its a shame as i love the car but its going to have to go. Theres no way i can justify getting 24mpg from a 1.4 engine regardless of the size and driving style:(
