  • The 2017 Vauxhall Zafira Tourer is one of the most practical MPVs on the market, boasting Flex 7 seats and up to 1,900 litres of storage space. It’s also available with a wide range of engines including Vauxhall’s impressive 1.4-litre Turbo engine, which is what we tested.
But a good engine range and plentiful practicality isn’t necessarily enough for an MPV to be successful nowadays. A lot of manufacturers hook customers with eye-catching style - Vauxhall, not so much.
The Zafira Tourer is the best-selling of its kind in the UK though, so it’s doing something right.
We take the 2017 Vauxhall Zafira Tourer for a test drive to see what it can do.

My hairdresser bought a Zafira few months ago and said to me she loves the car but its a pain charging her phone and everything through the rear USB sockets.....I showed her where it was and she was delighted. Her and the husband had spent weeks looking all around the front of the car for it and resided to the fact there was none......such a happy person after meeting me!

I have the 2013 in grey, the first few weeks after we bought I struggled with lacking the car as I found it too big especially the front part of it, I hate the fact the it didn’t come with a Satnav, heated seats and wheel. But I must say it’s vastly spacious my12and 13 year old girls have enough space for this long legs. I love it and if I were to buy a 7 seater again it will be the same but in automatic.

How long before PSA delete these GM models and close the factories? I reckon that only the GM Europe van factories will be left in five year's time based on product life cycles and market share.

These so called testers always manage to miss the fact the car has WING mirrors. They show you what c pillars hide, so USE them.

Car keys I have a little reason as to why vauxhall do half soft touch and half hard. First to save money and second who in the world is gonna be reaching down and touching that part of the car. Only your legs go there.

"Given up on your dreams? Waistline left back in the 90s?, That car you want will leave you with a nagging partner?....weeeeell have we got the car for you!"
Pause the video at 4:09 and that expression on Richard's face, that expression right there, that's the face of every Vauxhall Zafira driver ever. This is the kind of car that someone who thinks Michael McIntyre is reckless, who drinks lime cordial and tap water on their mates 40th birthday night out, the person who would balk at mashed potatoes as they "don't eat that foreign muck". This car is destined to smell of sticky fingers and wet dog, then be consigned to minicab shuttle runs to Luton Airport to ferry cheap holiday makers to Magaluf.
I hate this car this the passion of a thousand suns.
Oh and what twat would put the USB there!

Your comment is long overdue a like, I sadly own one of these and have had two variations over the last 10yrs. They are very practical and have served us well but I do feel that I’ve lost my soul in the process.
I’m looking at the VRS as the kids have mostly grown up. 🎉
