Pretty cool, I had no idea that there were so many versions, thanks, some great memories. Putting the SNes one as the third worst sounding version is crazy though !
Arcade Prototype - It's too slow and I barely recognize it... - 12/100 Tandy 1000 - It has good drums, but the "Eb" sound mixes with the melody sometimes. - 37/100 SNES - Good, but the samples aren't good. The "Eb" sound is it's own instrument - "oh sound", so it doesn't blend. There's some background noise getting louder near the end. - 41/100 Sharp X68000 - It's fast, but uses okay instruments, except for some some table scratching instrument. - 40/100 PC-98 - A Slower Sharp X68000. - 50/100 Atari ST - Like Tandy without blending, but empty at times and a bit too fast. - 48/100 Master System - The best of Tandy and Atari ST, but too much skipping... - 39/100 Game Gear (Master System 50hz) - A better speed compared to most others. - 44/100 Adlib - Some instruments are good some are bad, but not table scratching, and it's not that empty. - 60/100 Apple IIgs - All of the instruments sound like they first met each other... - 43/100 Amstrad CPC - Like Tandy, but slower, but not as slow as the Arcade Prototype. I like it kinda. - 53/100 Windows 95 - Like Adlib, but fuller and with some better instruments. - 71/100 Commodore 64 - Too different, but it sounds like a remix. It's not bad for the C64. - 57/100 PlayStation - Similar to Windows 95 , but better at some areas. - 74/100 Atari Lynx - A fuller version of the Amstrad CPC version, and fantastic for the soundchip. - 58/100 Acorn Archimedes - A bit short but great! - 47/100 CD version - Uses the capabilities of the CD audio and sounds good. - 81/100 Mega Drive/Genesis - Great choice of instruments, but it's somewhat empty. - 66/100 TurboGrafx 16 - Like the Mega Drive with some Amiga/Mac/FM Towns samples. - 73/100 Macintosh - My god what is that quality control? Some samples turn off at times. This could have been a lot better. - 46/100 Amiga - Like Macintosh, but without glitches, but the drums are missing. - 80/100 FM Towns - like Amiga, but in a better key for this in my opinion and the drums are back and aren't bad sounding. - 84/100
Also I'll never rate something 0 or 100 just because I think that I don't have to. I'll usually rate between 20 and 85 or a bit wider, but 80/100 would be pretty good, sometimes the best.
Really cool to hear all of these versions in one place. Get a feel for the different sound chips being used. I will say putting the SNES version as one of the worst is interesting. Id say it sound miles better than than the game gear and atari lynx versions. As a fan of the mega drive/genesis version i will admit its missing some of the charm of the other versions as its instrumentation is different and is missing parts.
why so much hate for the snes version? to be fair its the only version i ever had but still.. hate the shhik shhik shhik sound in the sega percussion playstation one is probably the best one for me.
All the version from Arcade Prototype are slower, but I highly recommend you check out the Arcade Prototype version of Tim 5, it rules, it's my favorite Tim 5 out there ;)

The Arcade version's music looks a bit too slow than the original. Then again, it is the Prototype.

The SNES one is terrible. Why did they go with those sounds and that reverb lol
I actually like the SNES one.
This Port Is ***t compared to SNES
