• 5 things you need to k...
ATM 710 and Beyerdynamic tg v71 are best microphones I've ever used.
the Sontronics sounds so good. But the the Sennheiser e840 is pretty similar whilst the AKG D5 sounds great too. I will order the e840, d5 and SeE V7 for testing.
SM57 nice thin sound for backup singers, easy to mix!
Akg d5 sounds amazing.
It's definitely a great option 👍🏻🎤
In this video d5 is much better than sm58, om3, mtp250 etc
I wonder why Senheissers here sounds bassy, it’s the brightest mic I tried.
How about the e865s?
The 865s is EXACTLY!! the same microphone as the 865 but it has a switch hence the "s" after the 865
ATM 710 was most balanced and smooth. Most of the others were either plosive or overly nasal/boxy. No wonder the 710 has a great reputation.
Yes. It sounds very mix-ready and takes very little gain. The others sound like they either need a pop-filter or sound muddy.
Most Fkin balanced xD? i have atm 710 and also sontronic solo for the quality clarity and natural sound i'll take sontronics. Atm have those weird frequency and nasal tone.
@@grzegorzlasowski6327 I think what you mean to say is that you don’t like the 710 because it brings out the nasality in your particular voice. I looked at the specs of both the 710 and the Solo and see maybe what the problem is. The 710 has a mid-forward sound whilst the Solo is presence-boosted and starts to lift after 3Khz. If you already have a more nasal singing voice, the ATM 710 will exaggerate it. But if you don’t have a nasal voice, it will sound balanced. Judging by the little information you shared, I would probably guess that microphones with C12-style or 87 style frequency responses, (for your particular voice) I.e. mics which have more presence and are more “airy”, would suit your specific voice better than mid-forward mics. In other words, more like the Solo, MXL 990, sE z5600a, sE Gemini, U87ai. No microphone is really “good” or “bad”, but it depends on the voice using it and the situation. Judging by your name, you are Polish. The Polish language has been regarded as the last Slavic language to preserve nasal sounds (according to ICPHS), so when you sing, you probably sound more nasal than the average person who is not Polish, so I would not recommend mid-forward mics for you. For Italian speakers, who use more chest voice and throat, yes. Of course, there are exceptions and I’m overgeneralizing, but there are languages which are more nasal than others. 😊
@@azarlane9553 LOL...also no U47 for Portuguese. But Brazilian Portuguese is less nasal, so Bossanova is OK.
The Sennheiser 865 sounds really off here, muddy and not much definition which is puzzling because the one I have sounds AWESOME!!
Yeah, I was surprised by that one. Maybe I had a dud one or something. Lots of people seem to like them
Lol 😂 that cheapy SM58 is a tough contender! Just missing a little dial in top end and good as expensive ones.
A matter of taste, but I never liked the pronounced mid-frequency it tastes like boxed.Sontronics Solo has a warm, full-bodied sound, very close to the sound of a tube mic.
