Does a Pre Fade mix follow all the same EQ & Compression settings from the LR mix still?

Somebody knows if we can use this box with mixers like Midas MR18 or Behringer XR18 ULTRANET conection? It have just 6 monitor outputs, and I´m trying to get 3 extra outputs to send inears monitor mixes (using 3 of the 4 effects channels). I just know DN4816-O splitter, but I need only 3 extra mixing channels, and these can be PERFECT!! Thanks a lot and nice review bro 😎

Hi I just bought a Qu-pac for our house concert series and want to expand the inputs and mix outs. Shall I assume with a normal CAT5 connector I am able to expand my Qu-Pac to 8 more mic inputs and 4 more mono aux sends? What do I need to do to configure it to the system, or does it magically just configure itself? Would the iPad app then also show the extra 4 line outs as 11-14 mix outs? Thank you for your information!

Holding a cardioid mic upright is not desirable, the capsule was designed to work optimally from the front, not the side. That is actually bad microphone technique.

You should show how to adjust the main EQ on the main mix

I use one of these type of systems in a broadcast setup with an OB van for commentary. Inputs 1 and 2 are used for the commentators and the 4th is a return to talk to commentators. I used to run multiple cables but have since replaced with this system, I also just ordered another unit to run to my field and presenter mics

I’ve a question on this. I am trying to use one of the additional fx slots to use the IEM glue preset on multi band comp 4 on all of my Aux mixes (musicians using IEMs). How do I do this and still be able to adjust each aux (band members) mix. And not have it being sent twice to them technically.

15:00 i dont think splitting the eth cable from the output would cause problems.. like if i get an eth cable running from the output to a eth splitter and connect them into 2 boxes, i would just get the output on both of them no?

also new product is an 8(4M and 4F) exit product with parrallel

11:25 another cool thing you can do is take those two female boxes and put 2 female to male adapters on 2 of the female exits on both of the boxes and now you have 2male to female and 2 female to male seperatly.. could be great for a talkback system

Where is the test of the signal and actual quality? The Mogami vs Ethernet? etc. LAME, LAME, LAME....this is the little girls version. Where is the pro audio assist version? It is better to work with higher Quality Network cable. Cat 6 better 7. you have a better Schild protection. The maximal length of LAN Cable without repeater is normally about 180m. If you have lower quality cable, the max. length is reducing. And you are better protect against other Signals. For example DMX. Normally you should not make the same Way of power Cable and LAN cable. All this Faktors are reducing your cable length, or you have bit faults. As a result you have drop outs. And handle LAN Cable with care. Not knicking the cable. All that can make Problems.

Can you turn a channel into a group if you have lots of channels left. We have 14 aux. 6 matrixes and only 2 groups because of those in ears and broadcast and extra mixes going to other places. I would like more groups. How can I achieve this

With the risk of sounding old.. :) We built this kind of setup back in the 90's at our community radio station. We needed to connect an audio signal from a nearby (150 m?) venue - and this was way before you streamed audio over 4G..! So we bought shielded Cat5 cable and a garden hose cart - worked just fine! :D

For anyone watching using GarageBand and learning how to route USB for recording tracks, stems or stereo: this app is limited to a sample rate of 44.1kHz. The Allen & Heath SQ Series mixers output at 48 or 96. GarageBand therefore needs to downsample audio before it can record and most times this will cause the hardware to reach its limit and result in errors and loss of recording

Awesome video. This helped me with an install im doing. I had to figure out how to convert RCA, over long distance but didnt want to buy a whole nother amount of cable i didnt have. Being able to use cat 5 saved me $100 or more.
