Nice, patient video. I had to look up the viaduct, being the curious man I am. No reinforcing bars. Strong compression, weak tension. It’s a wonder it’s still there! Write it down with the Hastings tunnels as interesting architectural challenges. Can’t wait to see more of this tour. Stay well, and thank you.
Classic locos, classic location, and arguably classic West Highland weather! That 7 minutes must have felt a lot longer in those conditions Mike, well done!
Thanks 👍mate, I had planned to go there again this April for a railtour to film but everything got cancelled due to you know what, thanks for your comment, and as I said there will be more footage from this tour later this month probably.
great footage.. been across there a few times on tour trains and it seems to take forever but it's to give the patrons a good view of the monument etc. I've also walked on it but not all the way across. I just love Scotland in any weather. cheers
Evening Mike. Lovely Scottish weather lol 😆 Shame about the EWS livery on them growers 🤣 Should of been at least BR blue. My eldest daughter I’d a BTP officer in Manchester. She took a picture of 37025 in large BR blue on the flying banana train At Piccadilly station. She also got a picture in the cab. Lucky girl. I’m back in work this week and from November the 1st we’re back in full time. Take care as always Stevie 😎
She did do well Stevie, but she had the right uniform on lol. A few people have said the 37s should have been in blue, I had planned to do this shot again this April but the virus stopped all that as the tour was cancelled. Right its bed time for me. Goodnight Stevie and safe journeys at work. Mike.
Were they stopping deliberately to enjoy the view (if you could see the view) from the famous Harry Potter Viaduct (although I don't think Harry Potter had been heard of then had he), or were they experiencing difficulty due to Poor Railhead Conditions?
Maybe they're going slow so the passengers can take in the view. Or cos Canton '37s were always a bit slower than the other 37s (!), or, knowing they're in the livery of doom (EWS) they're going to get scrapped soon. Which is sadly what happened to these two.
I think you’re right about slowing down to take in the view Mike or, perhaps the driver felt sorry for the poor chap on the hill with the camera and slowed down for him to get a decent shot!
I think the reason was so the passenger could have a good look, or maybe as it was raining heavy the passenger could see all the time. Just like to say thanks for watching Nigel.

Such a great area to go Thomas to film very few trains, but I will show more footage in better weather soon from that 10/2001 tour. Mike.

Yes it was Darren, I will upload more for this tour. Cheers Mike.
Hats off to you for braving the weather, least you had plenty of time to capture both beasts! They sound good even on tick over, thanks for sharing 👍

I would love to walk across it Keith, well done for doing that which must have been a long time ago.
Great video Mike :)
Thanks for the visit my channel again Simon.
Awful weather but you persevered. Plenty of time for the passengers to admire the view…what they could see of it. Very good.
It was a great shame I never made it to this iconic line this year.
Standing outside in that much rain is proper commitment to tractor vegging
Yeah I do go that extra mile for a good tractor thrash but I didn't get one on this occasion.
Ah heavy rain with a smirr to boot ....welcome to the Highlands lines smashing footage Mike miss the blue large logos
Well that is standard weather in these parts Jeff, cheers Mike.
It's not slowing down its stopping! What is wrong with it?
People were having a good look out of the windows.
I believe they slow down to allow passengers to take in the scenery and photo opportunities. Stunning country is Scotland 🏴. Superb capture 👍🏼
That is what I thought Dave, thank you for having a look.

What awful weather, typical Scotland ! Well done for braving it, got a great video as a result
You are very lucky to go here without getting wet.
Great filming Mike on Glenfinnan, I'm guessing there was something up ahead hence going slow. Thanks.👍
Thanks David for your comment but I wouldn't of thought that was the reason, I think to give the passengers a long view David. Cheers Mike.

I think it was your first idea AT. Cheers Mike.
Excellent video, just a shame you had to stand there so long in the pouring rain. Well done Mike 🤓, stay safe 💙
Thanks 👍 Tony, yes I got wet, and didn't get any thrash. Cheers, you also take care.

Well out of all them Jon I think it could be your first idea. Mike.
Looks to me that the lead loco had a problem if you look at ex haze second loco got ex haze when front loco hascnon
Thanks for taking a look.

Oh yeah I never gave that a thought Bryan, nice one.
Think someone may have pulled the emergency extra view cord.
Possible Stephen, I don't really know but may idea is looking at the view, regards Mike.
Why so incredibly slow? Weather not great either!
I think the reason was so the passenger could have a good look, or maybe as it was raining heavy the passenger could see all the time. Just like to say thanks for watching Nigel.
@@antman09ful1 You’re welcome! Have you seen how many subscribers I’ve got now? Over two hundred! 😲
That is great, congratulations.
Oh and of coarse Mike the wee Highland terrier
Can't forget them wee dogs as we have one.
So many people asking the same question 🤨
Yes Kenneth and I have given my answer, plus others agree with me. Cheers for taking a look.
Hope these class37s are saved in preservation
Its to late for these two Clive. Thanks for watching.
