In the others you just know how everything will turn out sooner or later (Though I admit, the reseting of the universe and connecting all other mk games with it was pretty clever)
@@ennieminymoo6675 yes, the mk9 story stressed me out so much because it felt like earthrealm was losing and everything was going so wrong. They did an amazing job at building the tension. But mk11 aftermath also had that same sense of urgency when we saw Shao kahn, sindel, and shang tsung beating everybody.

The great thing about mk9 for me was that since I hadn't played the earlier games the story was actually a mystery for me which made it more enjoyable
Agree. With the new reboot coming out soon, someone told me that if I want to get into the current games then I will have to start with 9.

2:07:43 is one of the top 5 funniest moments in the game imo. Jade puts her hand up like "hol' up" and gets 3 words of explanation before she gets cut off. Liu Kang's starting to walk up and Raiden puts his hand on him like "hol' up" as he says exactly what Jade was gonna say when he cut her off, but Smoke's just like "nah these hands rated E". Then Jade's like "dude what the fuck" when he's rolling around in pain 🤣

Yeah, it kind of annoys me that they took all of Kabal's character growth in this game and threw it away in mk11. His Revenant is evil with Liu Kang and Kitana, and his past form was back when he was in the Black Dragons. They used to put so much care into all of the side characters, but then they decided to just focus on a chosen few for the new one

10 years later this game still looks amazing an the graphics still looks good for a ps3 game the graphics still looks really brilliant
The graphics for the game were ahead of it's time (at least two years ahead of it's time). This game was definitely a late PS3 video game.
Just want to say thank you for allowing the game to speak for itself, I hate unnecessary commentary on games like this, the storyline is good by itself, again thank you.

Storyline-wise, it’s trash. But most of the characters’ arcade endings are awesome and have great potential to be implemented in future games. But NRS being the bad writers they are, all potential has been wasted now
MK 11 Aftermath has had another reboot, so hopefully all those potential will be implemented in MK 12 or somethin. Although very unlikely
Yeak Mk9, is awesome and really gave the series a breath of fresh air, Mk11 took out test your might, no tag teams, tower of time is boring, they nerfed characters, dull costumes, the krypt is worse, story is messy compared to mk9.
Good story. Very bad mechanics. Basically all i can do is either die a million times and put 1 damage against goro or just quit the game entirely. I can't even do a combo with the same buttons. All i have to do is press it three times. I do that but it only registered 1. If they gonna remake it. Make it have at least a difficulty so people don't have to destroy everything because they made it to where you have to press buttons as if you were the fucking flash

Man, this brings back memories... It's been a decade since this was released?!? Holy shit. 😮 This was a great reimagining of the original trilogy, aside from the "he must win" MacGuffin. And MAN, they really got carried away with the fan service back then. 😂 Still a great game to this day. So good to see our favorite kombatants back again despite them all dying near the climax.

Some people want a remake to this game but I disagree. I think the game is just fine the way it is. What I really like about it is that it rebooted the franchise in the best way possible by making it a continuation of Mortal Kombat Armageddon.

Best Mortal Kombat game of all time in my personal opinion.
Ah the early days, back when Shao Kahn was an absolute pain in my @$$, that’s one of the reasons I liked this game, it gave you a challenge
Here’s something I don’t understand. The invasion on earth realm wasn’t mortal kombat but that’s what the elder gods described it as. Even if it was mortal kombat shao kahn said in the second part of the game he would abandon his claim to earth realm forever so by fighting earth realm doesn’t that automatically disqualify him? At the end of the day shao kahn would have tried to merge the realms so I think the elder gods are stoned on their own fumes
That’s why Raiden was telling the elder gods that he was violating the rules of mortal Kombat but they wouldn’t listen and were acting lazy despite his army (especially Sindel) killing most of the earthrealmers
Could be why in one MK11 ending, Raiden, Liu Kang, Kitana and Fujin (?) replace the elder gods.

The writing in this story mode has so many plot holes.
What Raiden failed to realize until it was almost too late was that Tournament was never meant to protect Earthrealm. It was devised to give Earthrealm a fighting chance against Outworld and Netherrealm, as realistically in the direct war Earthrealm would never stand any chance. But nobody could know the final outcome.
Agreed. Raiden figured it out at the end of MK9 that he is suppose to let the villain/Shao Khan win so then the Elder Gods can intervene. And if Raiden did not have the help of the Elder Gods, he would not have beaten Shao Khan (consuming billions of human souls or Shao Khan going all out). That said, Raiden and Shao Khan are about even in terms of fighting ability. Raiden is like Optimus Prime while Shao Khan is like Megatron. Both sets of characters can go toe to toe with each other.
Mk9 and Mk10 are my favorites I loved this game as a kid and I love it even more now

I’ve been a fan of Mortal Kombat for as long as I can remember. in my personal opinion the mortal Kombat 9 story mode is the best one of them ALL. Few can resist its lore of conquering enemies from far off realms and sharing a common goal to protect those of ‘Earth Realm” at all costs. Many can try but none can live up to the legacy mortal Kombat has built and sustained for over 30 years and still manages to capture the hearts of its loyal fan base after all this time. Mortal Kombat may you live forever. ❤️

Well then you should definitely dive into the lore a bit more, but then you'll have to deal with how crappy this new movie actually was.
