The way he calculates the angle cuts seems so intuitive to him. Would love to see a tutorial where he explains the process.

@@ivocont I don't do flooring, so I have no experience doing it. For someone like me who might want to try it, a little slower explanation would help. I'm just someone who watches RUclips. I think I've got most of it, but there were a few parts that left me with questions. More importantly, I think there would be _a lot_ of people who would be interested in it too and I think it would get a lot of views. Just look at the number of upvotes my comment got in only 7 hours.

I have seen this method explained somewhere before and it's simpler than it looks I'm sure you can find a demonstration on RUclips. It's less intuitive than it looks and more systematic. I'm sure he's done it so many times it's completely automatic now. I want to try this myself!

Was wondering how he’s getting it perfect every time the whole video.. I figured that he’s making only 45 degree cuts, so as long as the length of the longest edge is right, the piece will fit. The left over gap because of the 45 degree cut will remain consistent at 45 degrees, which means we can keep repeating the same technique. Very smart way of working.

@@sonofdavid904 the issue with hardwood is the need for expansion gaps, you can fit it like this as long as the click system or T&G allows it.

That same style of flooring can also be done with thicker sticks of wood resting on wooden planks that form lines under the ends of all the pieces. Additional support planks are needed at the edges of the room, but the stick length should be 1.41 times the distance between planks or it'll all fall down.
