You have a very special pair there! They are a lot better looking jags then most. They have very defined spots and your female has a very beautiful yellow tint to her. Good stuff.

@@bigfishlad4847 apparently But there’s more geophagus brasiliensis around and they’re not on the noxious list yet. I don’t even live in the tropics We have tilapia and gambusia here. They’re all noxious. Water temp goes below 10c in winter
Good timing, I just picked up a few juvenile 2inch Jags to grow out, mainly with the goal of keeping the strongest. I'm surprised that one of them is already showing some aggression
Have one male jag coming tomorrow morning it’s 7 inches or more is what the website said looking forward to it he will be in a 135 gallon solo and if he gets to 16-18 inches I’ll put him in a 180 gallon beautiful pair of jags you have .

I see you have experience with jaguars. Since I myself have newly hatched jaguars, I am interested in their growth rate? Mine are about a month old and they are about 2cm in size, how long will it take for them to reach a size of 5cm or 2 inches?
Now if it was panda uaru fry you were offering then I would be up your way as soon as possible haha, have you ever seen any of them for sale where you are?

I recently purchased a Jaguar cichlid and ive neve had a timid fish. Right when they get home they're alive. However this Jaguar is very timid and just hides at the bottom of the tank. Anyone else experience this?
@@bigfishlad4847that is exactly what I think half the time.The same applies for like Arowana however they are more expensive so I reckon no where near as much are sold. I think that half of them end up dead.

In a tank that size it has more chance of working but its trial and error I suppose, they can be aggressive

Won't take long at all once they get going if you feed them about 6 times a day as well
