I do think its so interesting that qimir is playing into oshas desire to kill him, and making himself vulnerable to her in a way that would betray jedi values to kill him in. Especially knowing that it is the destiny of all sith to kill their master
If I'd parafrase you on what you said on white and dark witchcraft: "There is no light and dark side, only intents and purposes". And that would be a good fit with the transcending theme of this series.
I wonder if I am the only person online who believes Vern would never go to the Dark Side 😂 I guess I have spent too much time reading in her PoV. I will be loyal right until she shows up in a black cloak!
i do love the weird vibe with qimir (if thats his real name). I was cackling at how they leaned so hard into the "oh no he's hot". I got the impression by "a long time ago" he could possibly mean he was a jedi youngling? because im not sure if he's supposed to be like. Very old? i dont know.... we will see.
They really could go any direction with it - regular age but left shortly after becoming a padawan, so ancient that he remembers Starlight Beacon, who knows!
Naw, Vernestra herself hid the lightwhip for ages because it was such a common Dark Side user weapon, she was worried what the other jedi would think. She also had to use it on her own future padawan when he turned briefly to the Dark Side. This is a 100% team Vernestra channel.
The only complaint I have so far is the length of episodes. I would rather have 4 1 hour episodes than 8 half hours. Other then that I love this show!
I read that as 41 hours at first, and was like YES :)

I like your reviews. Insightful. You watch them like an art lover looking at a Degas for the first time. Impressive. Most Impressive.
I think we all the same reaction to the ending, these episodes are to short. ANYWAY..... I think Darth Smiley was Venestras apprentice.

Oh, you’re not ready for episode 7. It’s gonna be a doozy.
he has obvious whipscars on his back...and we see a jedi with a light whip... hmmmm...
