@@Chillaccino1Ash tends to use nimble and strong attackers, which is what Turtwig did as well. But when he started to evolve and gets slower and bigger, he got replaced. There was originally a scrapped storyline where turtwig had to deal with him not getting faster. But I’m guessing they didn’t wanna put that much thought into it. The only other bulky slow Pokémon that I can think of ash actively used is Snorlax and Muk.
They really should've just kept Ash's Torterra as a Turtwig (or at least Grotile). It had so much personality and then when it evolved into Torterra, it pretty much lost all of that. It lost it's appeal to me because Paul's Torterra taught Ash's Grotile how to move around in it's new form so I feel we already have a Torterra in the series. Plus, Ash had a fully evolved starter in Infernape who was the star of the arc.
The second that Ash's Turtwig evolved, victories for it just stopped. Eventually Learning his Lesson, Ash never evolved his Rowlet, and it helped him win big time.
My problem with Charizard is that he is always put on a pedestal. The pokemon itself is pretty cool, I honestly like it. What bothers me is the treatment he receives compared to other pokemons, like the other starters, Bulbasaur and Squirtle. It's as if the company itself defines which is the best of the three sometimes, it's just a silly inconvenience, but I don't blame the pokemon itself for that. But maybe that's what makes some people harbor a grudge against him.
I don't think it's so much that Charizard is being put on a pedestal as much as it is that the Pokemon Company knows that it's an extremely popular Pokemon, and it's because of this that they are always giving Charizard more of the spotlight. Sure, many of us fans may want to see other Pokemon get attention and admiration, but the simple fact is that Charizard is a very appealing Pokemon to many for a number of reasons, so it makes sense that it would be pushed to the forefront more often; and moreover, it's proven that it works. Like it or not, people are going to get hyped over Charizard, and when you think about what it has going for it, I think it makes sense why so many people would be drawn towards it, even if I can understand that this makes it seem overrated in the eyes of many fans because it's arguably received too much exposure
Point blank: The Pokemon Company is going to glorify Poke' that will " Milk Us " from more money, its more so, they give that special treatment to the Pokemon the damn well know its popular enough to make games, toys, and other MERCHIDISE to SELL SELL SELL, remember Pokemon is a COMPANY first

Despite Emboar not being my favorite starter anymore (that honor goes to Samurott, because I'm a sucker for swords and swordsmen), Emboar will always have a place in my heart. I never thought the design was bad, per se. Sure, a little silly, but it was my first Unova Starter, and it did really well carrying me through a lot of rough battles. Okay this might make me sound weird but I agree with his quote at 3:56.
Whitney’s Miltank made me love Miltank
Some Trash takes in life are forgivable, unlike ever having slanderous thoughts towards Tangrowth ever, that sin will taint one's legacy.
2:04 I believe you meant, it somehow manages to look HOT
Since Starter pokemon are coming back i’m actually going to use both Emboar and Torterra! Im going to shiny hunt them both!😂
I used to dislike darmanitan but now I think it's just it's color palette plus it's sheer force life orb flare blitz slaps.
Emboar has always been the best gen 5 starter!
As far as movepools go
Did you know Muk spelt backwards is Garbodor?
That's ridiculous
For me right now it's Pikachu for the same reason you hated Charizard.
Well that and I think Eevee makes for a better mascot.
emboar is definitely one of my favorites
Chesnaught
Coz I thought they made a chesnut monster which is dumb. My my , I was dumb , it's an hedgehog
Inteleon
Unite made me appreciate it's concept and design a lot
i actual do a pokemon red play (with the worst team possible: Farfetch'd Onix Lickitung Porygon Butterfree Beedrill) i dont know it is possible to finish top four and champ but i try it^^
accept it, you too were expecting musharna
With the explanation for nr 4 i expected zubat unit you said water
Ash's Incineroar is the freaking worst. That last minute evolution was soooo dumb. The Story of Torracat against Kukuis Incineroar was a David vs Goliath Story. David didnt become Goliath. But Torracat "needed" to become Incineroar? No.
I like samurai most out of Unova starter but emboar is 2nd I think he is overhated
I fasho hated running into hoppip"s and hoothoots every other step
Dont let him see insurgence delta charizard
I used to dislike medicham until I used one in a nuzlocke and pvp in pogo
I will respectively disagree even though muk and garboder are both basically the same conceptualy one is simplistic and is an ok design the other is overdesigned and is not good at all.
I think emboar is helped by having a God tier shiny
Starting the list I have a pokemon that doesn't fit the definition of the list
Emboar is my fav gen 5 starter
agree 100% with this list lol
If he has enough, he should do the opposite list too.
Pokemon I still hate?
@MysticUmbreon No, I meant you used to like but not anymore. That is if you have enough for a Top 10.
I love Emboar now but then ooooooo
This might get some flak but gen 5 has the weakest starter designs. Especially final evos overall
charizardmon has and will always be overrated. You can remove Ash but that charingzardly creature still latches on every game and anime. yikes
Charizard will always be amazing
