That's a possibility but I personally don't like that, it clutters up the return track list, it's an inconvenient way of routing and you'll have to use the send volumes to 'mix' your levels. That brings me back why I think that method is not really 'workflow friendly' and it makes it much harder to see visually what is going on.
Well a return track is usually used to have an effect on like a reverb, so that you can then send multiple tracks into the reverb. However, by default a clean unaffected copy of the sound will bypass the return track and go straight to the master, then the output of the affected return track is mixed back in with the original unaffected sound. That is completely different from having a reverb directly on the track itself as an insert effect. This plugin let's you group effects across multiple tracks so they all get updated when you change the master instance of the effect.
Yes, but this video was made before Live 10, plus the tools in this video are different. Let's say you have drums inside one group and then synths inside another, now for some reason you want an effect on the hihats and also on one lead synth, while not putting it on the rest of the drums and synths. With this, you could do that and only automate one and the other one will do the same.
Any one know any plugins like this that I can use for Fl Studio / Pro Tools / Logic Pro X ?? I've seriously been looking for something like this to help reduce the need for so many automation clips in mixes.
holy moly! This is gonna make my life so much easier!!!

In Ableton Live 10 you can have Groups in groups and use group channel for FX. this will effect all the channels in the group

Can the master and slave effect only operate one effect at a time, or can it do an entire chain?
does this work for channels that you apply sidechain compression to?
I haven't tried that, however I think it will work perfectly fine since I see no reason why it shouldn't.
