Agree. One of Preem's hardest beats ever. What did it for me was that thumpin bassline he layed over the drums. Preem knows what real funk is. When he mixes those funky basslines w his beats, he can't lose. Guru flowed nice over it too
This song right here why Lyrics and Subject Matter is so important in Hip Hop,not about Radio Spin or Club Spin it is what the emcee is saying
This is one of my, and I mean one of my most, favorite Gang Starr Songs. Guru was all over the beat. Dope song and Dope Flow. When Kanye said he would sleep with this album on... I did the same thing.
This is the song that introduced me to Gang Starr. This one and Above The Clouds are my favorites.

I used to play Gang Starr all the time back in the day (still do tbh) and that line stood out the most to my Dad who was not really into hip hop. Even though it's a serious topic we used to play around paraphrasing that line like "the point they are cognizant of is where the firearm is concealed." Good memories and RIP Guru.

Guru was always ahead of his time wit the rhymes, that's why he's one of the greatest. Preemo is a creative genius on the beats and the cuts!

Another classic gangstarr song. This is from the golden era. Guru was brilliant with his wordplay about guns. The whole science of it. Never forget hearing this for the first time at 16. It blew my mind. Rip Guru.
I remember in high school, a friend lent me this tape to listen to. He never got it back. My fault, this tape was just that dope.

Hard To Earn is also my favorite Gangstarr album and is one of my favorite hip hop albums period! Tonz O Gunz, Code Of The Streetz l, Mass Appeal, Words From The Nutcracker, Mostly The Voice, Dwyck, Fake MCs, Now You're Mine, every track is dope in it's own right.
Best part of these videos is watching DJ Premiere rewind with his arms.
