I notice the metal strip in the centre of the tram track, is this where they pick up power from as it is noticed that there are no overhead contact wires and pantographs on the tram cars?
@@thecairnsrailfan Using this system in historical cities is most useful as it means that the historical cityscape is not marred by the paraphernalia of overhead electrification.
Hello the trams at 3:18 would of been 040 leading and 039 at the rear as the rear tram was 039 and the corresponding sets are usually coupled up to eachother
