We just had to put down our 14-year-old cat this morning. Since burying the guy out back I have been watching some VGG to keep my mind from runnin'. He was pitch black with green eyes and looked just like Darrell. Brought a tear to a fellers eye seeing Darrell paying you a visit. Glad to see those cats getting some love, give Darrell an extra good pet for me if ya will.
Derek, you never struck me as a man that would be afraid to scratch his rear end. Hope you have a safe and fast sick week.

I love how Derek humbly uses his super nice Garage like he is still using a low budget 1 car backyard garage, sorta like he hasn't yet realized he moved to an upscale crib. And I love it 😂😂 reminds me of the Beverly Hillbillies and I ain't kiddin Fellas and Fellettes 😂😂

One bright side of having being locked up for 14 months, catching up on some VGG!
My wife knows exactly who Derek is. She knows that I love him and she is okay with that. She called me out about his content and I cannot deny her observation. Derek got his fame from saving cars from an horrible death and we loved it. I even defended his progression in that those saved autos needed some work to be valuable. I even hated on the people saying that they miss the revivals. Now I see that this channel has turned into something different....how to fix cars and make them awesome. Car tuning channels are super common and for the mechanic enthusiast BUT Derek was unique in that he could show up in field with some tools (and not a total rebuild kit) and we loved it! Remember the Betty White? He had no chance to fix that unit and yet he drove it back to MN to have Jessica help clean it? THAT IS A VISION! I enjoy seeing Derek achieve his life goals. I LOVE his family values. I LOVE seeing Little Grip. I LOVE seeing Vice Grip Lodge. I do not enjoy his sidejob to make Roadworthy Rescues. Saving history from deletion should be more of a goal IMO. I enjoy his as a person and how he commentates, but SELFISHLY I want more vehicles saved from the crusher.
I can not imagine what it takes to edit a two hour video. But I sure liked that one a couple of weeks ago. There is nothing better than having a couple of wobble pops and unwinding from a long work week with Derrick and VGG. Huge fan!

Lakewood ladder bars for coil spring cars. Very popular in the 70 &80s. I installed many of them on cars. They were equivalent to the traction bars for leaf spring cars
Amazing hard working guy, with an absolutely gorgeous wife and 3 great kids. Who could ask for anything more? It's been a pleasure to watch the progress of the channel over the years

God works in funny ways I'm grieving the loss of my dad really bad today me and him built a 1970 Chevelle together when I was a teenager unfortunately he died when i was 15 (I'm 32 now it gets easier but the pain never goes away) life was really difficult after cause I had a mentally unstable mother that sold the car from under me and took the money and ran. I'm blessed with the memories of that car and I will build another one day, I have an 86 transam I'm building with my neice currently. But anytime I see a 70-72 chevelle it makes me smile! Thanks Derek for making my Friday night! I love how you show little grip the love of the hobby and it reminds me of my upbringing god bless

The rear gear ratio is based partly on tire diameter size. For racing just use a shorter sized tire & slick. Another great Saturday evening show. Many thanks.

Honestly, I along with the VGG nation should thank you. You have not only sparked the interest in me to wanna have a project car and learn more how to do more on my own, but I am sure you have done this for many other gear heads out there like me that tend to doubt what we can do, learn, and achieve when we have the drive and passion. So thank you and can't wait to see how liberty turns out. Hoping I can get my grandma's 89 Camaro rs that she has put a 383 blueprint stroker in.
