Thank you for your presence and your words. I struggle with a degenerative illness that no doctors understands and for 4 years doctors have made mistakes, forgot to send consult to a specialiste that cold save my life... I have to verify everything and doctors all let me down. I feel myself dying and nobody around me sees the reality of it. if it goes on like this , its the coroner that will finally find out what was killing me. I'm terrified of dying. i'm a mother and i can't accept that i'll leave my daughter alone in this world. Listening to you this morning brought me peace and gratitude and reminded me of all that is in my experience of life. Thank you
Oh Valerie, I am so sorry. Sadly, I know that feeling. I know how it feels to lose trust in the medical community and to fear for your life because the people who took an oath to help you are letting you down. It is scary and frustrating and unfair. Be your own best advocate. Learn everything you can about your issues. And find a loved one or close friend to have your back through this. There are answers out there, but you may need to get creative to find them. I had to go through naturopathic means to find mine. Just don’t give up!!

Im trying to stay hopeful and keep praying for my husband to get a job. I never thought we'd be in this position. I'm just trying to be grateful that we do have a good savings. First year in 37 years we have faced the holidays in this position. My husband keeps networking with former colleagues, and people are trying to help, and we've learned to ask for help. Praying the economy picks up next year.

I am so sorry this has been such a stressful year. I know what it feels like to go into the holidays in a bad financial situation, but can I tell you? The years we did, we got so creative and focused on the true meaning of the season, that we made some of our best memories during those times. A job will come. Just keep encouraging your man and look for free ways to make this holiday season your best yet!!

Setting boundaries saved my sanity. As a Christian it was difficult for me to step out of some relationships that were so draining and occupying my mental state nonstop. Stepping away and praying for those individuals every time I think of them has saved me. I could not be what they wanted or needed and stay healthy myself. Boundaries are NOT FAILING. Thank you for this video.

This was very comforting and gave me hope. Thank you. Losing my child a year ago has been the hardest struggle to endure. Faith, family, friends, and grief counseling helped me over the darkest days.

After my husband passed away, I knew that people wanted to help, but didn’t know how. I asked my aunt to set up a go fund me. We were living in Chicago the time, my husband’s hometown, but we just have moved from California or he lived for 10 years and had a lot of family living there. The service in Chicago was , but I wanted to have another service in California. The go fund me money paid almost exactly for the service, and get together after including mariachis! Asking for help it’s difficult, but you have to remember that people want to help, so ask!

I have had some terribly hard times including the death of my child to suicide. What I do now is think that all the struggles I have in this life are given to me by God for a reason. They are to make me a better person ..to make me kinder softer and stronger. Life is a learning experience and although sadly some of us have a hard life we will be rewarded in the next ❤
I am so sorry about the death of your child. There are just no words that can make that better, only God can heal that kind of pain and loss. I’m so grateful you know that. I am so happy you are aware that this life can’t compare to the next. Be a light in this world. There are broken people all around you who you can help because of what you have experienced. There is a reason for everything we go through. We may not understand this side of Heaven, but knowing He has us and He knows our heartache is a comfort.

We were married for 50 years on August 10th 1974. I feel like I have been amputated. 💔💔💔
I am so very sorry for your great loss. 50 years is such a blessing and feeling that loss is completely understandable. This is a time of great grief for you and for those who loved your wife. Give yourself the time and space to go through the grieving process. That process is different for everyone, but it sounds like you had a special connection. Lean into your loved ones. Give yourself some grace and then spend the rest of your life in a way that would honor the woman you loved for 50 years. I am praying for you as you go through your first holiday season without your wife.
@ Thank you very much Carrie, I was my wife’s caregiver and tried my hardest to do a great job. My wife always told me that I was doing great, but I felt that I could have done more. Linda was diagnosed in June of 2023, and that time we would go for her treatments every month. But at times I was very angry at her for not getting her checkups like I was telling her to do. I said things that I should not have said and I am very sorry for that now. 💔💔

The true reality is life is an uphill battle full of crap and struggles with very little good. Struggles don’t always bring good, sometimes they bring more bad. I now have high blood pressure and health issues due to all of life’s struggles and worries.
I am really sorry that has been your experience.
And many have no one to count on!
I would highly recommend getting involved in a local church or community organization to make new friends and build relationships. It isn’t good for people to be alone.
@ Church is not my thing as I am agnostic. I live in a small town and work full time so not alot of time for involvement in extracurricular stuff.
