People grabbing stuff from the bins could have cost people their lives
Noted that too. There needs to be an auto lock system on overhead bins that can be activated by flight staff. That would also keep people's stuff secure.
This flight needs to be investigated. Those passengers SUCK! There's video of that evacuation from inside and people were arguing with flight attendants about grabbing their bags and NOT leaving the airplane. The pilots and flight attendants were begging passengers to evacuate and people just stood there.
social media has triggered mass tourism. TSA and airport staff are overwhelmed, millions of people moving through airports around the world every day, no oversight, no one checking baggage carefully, and not enough airline maintenance staff to ensure the safety of the aircraft. just going to get worse.
That’s disgusting and so incredibly selfish. Dang. Also like SHALLOW right? I would have climbed over the seats then to save my own life.
because those passengers were not paying attention during FA's safety instruction sometimes you see on the airlines' video screen or the safety instruction booklet. It literally says in case of emergency leave everything behind and proceed to exit, so sad most passengers are simply dumb. If worrying about your most valuables, carry a fanny pack bag close to your chest to keep passport n money.
People grabbing their bags and blocking the hallway while escaping has to be one of the selfish things ever
People grabbing things from the overhead bins should be fined. As someone with asthma, smoke filling the plane alone could be fatal. Just. Get. Out.
And again some idiots had to stop the evacuation for their large overhead bag - they should be fined $10,000 a pop by the FAA for doing so
Everybody's trying to film the scene and grab their luggage. The plane should've been evacuated quicker and this could have been a lot worse. Come on, people, leave your stuff and get off the plane if there's a fire. It's not your moment to be a journalist or go viral
Thank God it didn't happen while they were in flight!!
Watching people board and de-plane is a clear indicator of the stupidity of the average person. It’s no wonder that they’d make stupid decisions during an emergency.
Yes and the flight attendant telling him not to throw the burning thing out the window
Nothing to do with the plane itself or the airline staff.
Staff stopped them from throwing the burning backpack out the emergency exit. Could've lead to much worse circumstances
Was waiting for this scenario. Glad it wasn't in the air. Laptops, phones etc. Only a matter of time.
Passengers didn’t flee, one tried to. But the rest were being idiots.
please share what laptop was involved?
Yes I would like to know the same 🧐
Doesn’t matter the brand.. all lithium batteries have the same capacity to catch fire.
Wow! It’s just not safe to fly anymore.
are you good breh?
It's safer than cars but I bet you still drive.
@@athenagreen5390I don’t drive! Don’t need a car
I feel like something is going to happen in the next few months involving an airplane! All of a sudden the past few months the media has been excessively talking about airplane incidents! 🤷♂️
There are so many lithium batteries on every flight around the world in the air now.
I wear a small throw pouch and in it is my financials phone etc…
Everything else stays up above and is replaceable
Piss poor evacuation..
The air flight attendant gad to say, excuse me, please, everyone remain calm. Please exit quietly as we sing together now
😂😂😂😂
Just scary
Doesn't water make lithium ion batteries explode?
I thought it was damages (like if it’s been pressed or something). But I’m probably wrong
What is wrong with Aviation 2024!? Its get alot worse 😮
I don't trust lithium!
Unfortunately lithium is even in those small batteries we use every single day!
Smart thinking by the Dad that tossed the flaming bag the heck out of the jet!
It’s not smart. People need to just keep moving. That flaming bag could have hit one of the ground crew
@@kevindwyer5125you weren’t there, you don’t know who was where and ground grew can just get out of the way, unlike the trapped passengers. With flames up to the ceiling it definitely seems to have been the best move. Flight attendant might agree with you, but l can’t see how it wasn’t the best decision.
I work for the airlines is unsafe to throw it out the cabin due to the ground have gasoline to pump gas to the aircraft and other unsafe things that could blow the airport up. That’s why the flight attendant was trying to get them to move out so they could get to the fire extinguisher.
@@azande26 that doesn’t sound right. I don’t think there was any gas pump out there. Plane was about to take off. No matter what, fire outside safer than fire inside. I’d trust my common sense more than what anyone else says when my life depends on it.
This was NOT smart at all! If that backpack would have hit a fueling truck on the runway or if it hit one of the people working on tarmac it could have been risked someone’s life! Very stupid decision from a very stupid person!
As a flight attendant myself, the blonde guy with the bowl cut being interviewed put so many lives at danger trying to open that emergency exit to throw the backpack that was on fire! Truly stupid! Everyone who just stood there in that aisle and refused to follow commands should never be able to fly again!
The plane was not in flight so why would throwing the laptop out of the emergency exit put lives at danger?
@@maxfrax333 it doesn’t matter that it wasn’t in flight! There are people fueling the truck below, putting bags in the cargo under the plane, etc. If that bag was thrown onto a fueling truck then that fuel truck is going to blow up and kill the person driving it and anyone around.
@@kymorgan9775 Get it off the plane ASAP!
@@maxfrax333 people like you are the problem in society.
I’m getting the feeling now is just not a good time to fly on planes 😬
Throwing a lithium battery in water is a horrible idea
What happens?
Why? It's what we're trained to do if it happens in flight.
@@kitsiewr lithium is very reactive to water and combusts into flames at the presence of water and can reignite
Welp, here comes a 🚫 laptop band😅
Grab and dash is common in America.
Must have been a Boeing...
How can we warranty batteries subjected to various x ray energies at airports? We need to have planes free from hazardous substances. #apple #faa
Oh great... there goes our ability to carry lithium batteries on planes...
This is why the Lithium-ion age is coming to an end (Nickel, Cobalt, Manganese). LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries now in circulation are 10x less likely to catch fire, lasts 3-5x as long, greener, cheaper, and don’t mind being charged to 100%, unlike current Lithium-ion which overheat when over-charged. Most new Ford/Tesla EVs made after 2023 have LFP chemisty.
Even better Sodium-ion (Salt replacing Lithium) are just around the corner & already in a few EVs in Asia & go further with these benefits.
Laptops and phones more than anything overheat due to extreme environments we put them in & heavy use. There’s also no BTMS (battery thermal management system) that can prevent these problems using coolant in larger Electric devices.
They want us afraid of flying too
Now what if that laptop was checked in and that fire occurred in the baggage area below on the airplane? There would be no sign of the fire and no one would have noticed it until it was too late.
This is one reason why I drive.
It’s not allowed to put batteries in the hold
@@Alex_Coaster_Adventurer Huh? "...in the hold"?
@@maxfrax333 Hold = "the baggage area below on the airplane"
@@Alex_Coaster_Adventurer How are they going to know if there are any battery operated items in your checked baggage?
@@maxfrax333 they scan it (just after you drop it).
Oil Loot??..🇺🇸
This time is not boeing
Hmm
Funny, but i could picture myself saying that first I must go to the bathroom!!!
In this case, peeling in your pants will be less problematic.
The Austrian in the blue shirt needs charges.
Is he Austrian ?
I wonder if it was a Windows computer?
Don’t travel with laptop on 🤦🏻♂️ unless you keep it on your lap…
Battery fires have more to do with battery damage/manufacturing than whether or not the device is on... In this case, it was off. Keeping it on his lap would have made no difference, other than the fire would have started while it was on his lap...
people need laptops on their business trip.
Also any type of battery has to be carried on, not checked.
Investigate the boy. Not the flight attendant.
Flight attendant’s “out, out out out” raising everyone’s anxiety level by 200%
People won’t listen, still don’t listen. What do you want them to say then?
Trying to save lives. In a smoky cabin, you could only have 90 seconds.
NOT the time to film it all and rummage in overhead bins !!
That man in blue t-shirt should be banned by all airlines..
Lithium batteries should be banned from being made. They start too many fires and it’s only going to get worse as more of these batteries are used. Someone needs to invent something else because these batteries aren’t good.
People grabbing their bags and blocking the hallway while escaping has to be one of the selfish things ever
