I went to Thailand many years ago and fell in love with the cuisine which I knew NOTHING about before visiting, never tried, never knew what it was about. I've never tried to cook Thai recipes at home because they appeared so complex and the ingredient lists seemed so foreign to me I didn't even know where to begin. Your videos really demystify Thai cooking and I am finally able to make all this deliciousness at home, like if I had a Thai friend show it to me and guide me through every step and every ingredient. This video just makes me want to go back to Thailand so bad! I've been to many countries but Thailand is still one of my favorite trips - wonderful people, beautiful nature and, in my opinion, the most flavorful cuisine!

The one cooking item I brought back from Thailand was a sticky rice steamer, with 2 bamboo baskets because my mom said "get 2, you never know". Still use it to this day, 10 years later, still on the first basket lol

I tasted both Tomyum and Larb Pretz, from my Thai friend, who brought to Japan with her.
Definitely awesome. First time I tried the "larb" I was hook. I asked her what make larb different from other salad (Sontum). She explained a little bit and give me a seasoning packet for larb.
Then I tried to learn to make it at home, then I found this channel 😍
It was 7 years ago and I grew with this channel since then, loving Thai cuisine and sometime Pai's recipes from her MIL as well.

Pai is a very warm and authentic soul, I emailed twice asking for recommendation on her upcoming cookbook. She replied to both emails almost immediately.
As for her display of wonderful Thai snacks, I'm only 10 mins walk from Golden Mile (mini Thailand) Center.

I just came back from Thailand and brought pork floss - i love it sooooo much!!! It’s like jerky, but sweeter and the texture is obviously different, I would also highly recommend getting nam prik pao which is Thai chili paste for Tom yum, because it’s very expensive if you buy it outside Thailand, I made Tom yum with this paste for the first time and it tasted amazing! Another one of my favorites that I always always buy is green tea Kit Kat - it is also extremely expensive if you’re getting it from overseas instead of buying in Thailand itself. And last, but not least is lime flavored lays chips - if you’re into sour foods it’s definitely for you - very refreshing! Happy shopping in Thailand 😋 🇹🇭

Your husband is right- I remember buying the Thai version of Red Bull in Chinatown in Philadelphia in the mid-90s, and it was drastically different than the carbonated crap we get in North America now. It’s disappointing because I haven’t been able to find the import version of Red Bull since at least the 2000s, and I do miss it. I was so happy to see that iconic bottle shape and classic logo. Enjoyed this episode a lot, thanks for sharing!!

Luckily Thai groceries are easy to find here in Hong Kong. When it comes to Lay's, the squid "jerky" flavour is my favourite, followed by sweet basil that Pai recommended. Instant noodles are fantastic, too, and I like Nissin's tom yum goong flavour stir noodles very much. If you think the tom yum goong Pretz doesn't pop, the noodles will satisfy you. Coconut crisps are just as great. I haven't tried a lot of brands, but Crispconut isn't bad. Three flavours are available to me, namely original, chocolate and caramel. All of them are delicious, striking a wonderful balance between sweet and salty. The only thing is that the caramel flavour doesn't taste terribly caramelly. BTW, I really hope I'll get to try the banana and tamarind sandwich cookies because I like sour food.

I spent eight years in Thailand. I miss a lot of stuff, but now they opened up a Thai grocer and restaurant ten minutes from home where I can order some things like this as they frequently go to bring stuff back. While I was watching this, I suddenly got the munchies. Seven Eleven here in Michigan came out with some new varieties of chips. I finished a whole bag of the Spicy Bayou Blaze New Orleans Style Ripple chips watching this. I give these chips a ten out of ten ⭐ s. Highly recommend. Give it a try. I am hooked!

Thank you for sharing Thai products. I missed going to Thailand so much I remembered first trip there going to Big C food court I was shocked so many choices of food don't know what to choose. I chose Rad Na that you made on the last video. I saw a big pot of gravy and I didn't bother asking since I don't speak Thai and I just asked for it. I tried it on Ho Fun and the fried noodles both are so good. Also they have the best products for skin care men. I hope I could go back there and relax in the warm sun and enjoy the so affordable foods there. Thanks

Regarding the Oyster Sauce, I remember using the same brand you are showing, but I was told by many passers-by, while I was trying to pick one from the many varieties available, to select the one with the label showing a picture of a woman pouring sauce in a large wok by one hand, while holding a long metal spatula by the other.
By the way, Food festival events have started in BKK and it's amazing.
