I really like the JDM Rebellion line of rods. I got my eye on some of their glass rods.
Daiwa Japan also have some look-a-like Elite rods coming out this month called Swagger. Their above the Black Label line and right below the Heartland line.

What’s the best way to spool a Daiwa Zillion SV TW G mostly for swim jig? Direct braid, mono backing, braid to fluoro liter?
In upstate New York btw mostly ponds, lakes, and river fishing all from bank/shore unfortunately 😅
We'd recommend using 30-40 lb braid as your main line. In thick vegetation you can use straight braid, but if you're around sparse vegetation or clear water, braided line allows you the flexibility to tie a fluorocarbon leader and fish that scenario effectively as well.

To be honest I find the mid range stuff golden. For example the Daiwa tatula rods are some of my favourites hands down great selection of casting and spinning models are a great price.
