Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could ruclips.net/user/postUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.
Challenge: Put some 30 pound moss green braid on one of your reels and fish with one of your friends who has flouro on their reel. Both of you tie on the same lure and see who catches the most fish! I have been wondering if there is a difference besides the properties of either line so this would be very helpful/interesting.
I believe that reaction bite trumps thinking they see the braid! I fish florida 30-40# braid moss green and fish a lot of top water,and night fishing,. Pb 10 1/2# ... My friend fishes fluro and we catch the same. I don't break off, and best of all I buy it on Amazon and pay no more than 9.99 for 500m of 4 of 8 strand ( I don't know which I prefer 4 or 8).

Fishing is never all about catching fish. Its all about being in the great outdoors, admiring nature, breathing clean air, and relaxing from lifes troubles. Catching a fish just happens as a biproduct of enjoying the outdoors. Frankly, catching fish is half the fun. This video puts things in perspective
Dang! I wish we had access to lakes/ponds with bass like that here in AZ! That looked like so much fun! The unfortunate part about living in a state that has a lot of desert is you compete on the water for various water sports and the lakes/ponds in and near to the Phoenix area are always over fished. Having a goto place like that would be pure therapy.

I recommend fluro for jigs but if it's very grassy and very little visibility braid will work
