Does anybody know the name of the song that was playing when hailey broke the record at Calgary and then it was playing when taci was going to go? Please I would really like to know.
Always wondered Why do they have to use the tie downs? Maybe the bits are causing pain some how to their mouth? Do you think the horse is raising its head up to get away from the bit pain? And that's why they tie there heads down? Wow never thought it could be a painful sport to the horse? I just thought the horses loved to run around things? Would Love to see one run without all that stuff? Has there ever been anyone good enough to run them like that? I dont think I've seen anyone do that yet?
Tie-downs have nothing to do with the bit. Tie-downs, also called nosebands with tie-down straps, are used to help horses maintain their balance during quick, powerful maneuvers in speed events like roping and barrel racing. While it’s easy to assume a tie-down is used only to keep a horse’s head down, the purpose of a properly adjusted tie-down is to provide your horse with a piece of equipment to brace on for balance.
@@CryMeARiver63 Very well stated! You are 100% correct! I couldn't have put it better. Also, a low port bit helps to keep the horse from throwing its head and getting it off balance!
@Lyre Burch..... these ladies are correct in regards to the tie downs. Track racers do have tie downs during training and workouts, however the jockeys balance on the reins during races and track racers are not making sharp turns around a barrel (can) at full speed neither do cutting horses during work. Cutters basically "dance" with the cow or steer they are cutting from the herd and not at full speed. Congrats to this very talented young lady and her amazing horse Sister. You inspire so many. I learned barrels and training from an understudy of Charmaine's. You got it girl!!
@ Maybe at the NFR, but on a standard pattern (90ft between first and second, 105ft from first/second to third, and 60ft from the eye to the first/second) it's a 16.5. They only run times faster than that on a smaller pattern.
I agree, but that's the music you would hear blaring in your ears if you were there watching it live in-person. It's sad but we won't go to our local rodeo anymore because the last time we attended the "music" was so loud that our ears were clogged & ringing for days! I already do have tinnitus (severe ringing in the ears) and this made it worse.
Why you guys barrel racing on a race track? I would just like to know I'm not telling judge you by the way I've been to rodeos I never seen them on and race track
Wow! Tiedowns huh! I wonder if she would win without it. What a shame, think you know how to ride but yet you wouldn't be caught dead ridding without tiedowns or bits.
Sabata Dupuch or maybe she uses a tie down so her horse doesn’t knock her out? Stop being an internet sissy trainer and hating on almost all of our idols. Stfu English rider
@@morganflowers7428 🤣🤣🤣 You obviously know nothing about my ridding. I am a Western rider. just because I own a English saddle I'm an English rider, sure I like certain English events. I ride both and know more Western then English, and know if your a good rider, you wouldn't ride in a tiedown, simple as that. You don't like what I said, tough!
Oh! wait, guess what!!! I just found a saddle I like online, it's an Australian saddle, LOL..So now what!, you're gonna call me an Aussie ridder now, I don't care, LOL.
@@Bekahsassy In a previous video, Hailey stated that she uses a tie down *only* on Sister (horse in video) because she is very stiff. The tie down helps Sister brace herself during the turns.
Mm....I don’t get why she needs to Whip and Kick so much. While I don’t see her doing it as much as Beginners, I still don’t get it though. Horses go fast to get away From the pain, so Kicking and whipping when the horse is going as fast as it can is just senseless.
Makes me cry happy tears! And how do they keep their hats on????
They bobby pin them to their hair
That and looking down
Bobby pins
Sam Sung No we look down to tip the brim of the hat down. The air will go over it instead of blowing it off. The horse knows where to go
Sam Sung clearly u don’t have much trust either🤡, trusting that they will do it is part of the game
WOW!!! I watched her break the NFR arena record last year! This woman is going places!
Couldn’t do it without her horse 🤠
These little mares have so much 💕. Way to go girls👏😍
The horses are just amazing. They just look like they just love to run!
That horse never disappoints! Sister even carries her own flag!
Omg i love you so much hailey kinsel you are the one who got me into barrel racing thank you so much
Great go! Love the way you you bring your horses along....smart training!
Her turns are so smooth ❤
I'm in love with all those horses
Both the horses and its riders love hearing the fans
How easy Sister makes it look! What an amazing team!!
Nice mare. I don’t know much about barrels but that horse looks happy, unlike lots of them I see. Love mares
Joyce E I also always favored mares! She does look happy! She knows she good!
This run still gives me chills. Also real nice they can run out instead of putting on the hard breaks.
Yes! Sister is one fast horse!
Out standing PAIR CONGRATULATIONS!🐾♥️🐾♥️☘

When I tell ya I got chills
Sorry but the video was really confusing. Like the music was going all over the place.
She reminds me of the actress Amber Marshall from Heartland.
Hailey and Sister have set quite a few arena records.
That was awesome
She's so fast!
Love the horse cowgirl🫡
I love horses
Way to go !!!
Formidable.
What are the world records?
On a standard it's a 16.5, but they only run times like that on incredible ground.
The WORLD record is 13.
