My comment below abt the bulls having respect looks true. At 38:16 the bull COULD have landed FULL force on the riders legs, but instead the Bull buckled his own legs so that it looks like a slip. They know how heavy they are. They going to give you MASSIVE sht, but they not so nasty as to stomp and crush you to death. I watched a lot of their legs landing on the ground, they skillfully JUST miss the riders' legs. These Bulls know what the game is and they up for it. They know its a test of will. Shocked how they run into the pen quite obediently afterwards. But they first put on one HELL of a show of POWER. Absolutely incredible.

If there's not time right after a ride then they definitely will afterwards.

@@Mitchhhh PBR bulls are treated as prized animals. They are treated lavishly outside of the pen and are more annoyed than they are confused. It is a sport for them too. Not to mention that they get to retire on a pasture as opposed to becoming a hamburger.

No, the bulls & broncos that they ride don't belong to the cowboys/cowgirls. There are ranchers/owners around the country who breed & own & travel with their animals.
WOOOOOWWWW!!!! This is a trip from out of space! I cant believe the balls on these riders. The other strange thing is so far the bulls LOOK like they are not REALLY trying to stomp the riders into the ground. There are so many near misses i honestly think the bulls are just freaking out but dont want to CRUSH the riders. Unless we only seeing the near misses and not the leg breaking, skull crushing, rib crunching accidents....this is possible. But those Bulls are so beautiful. I love it! I know NOTHING about this sport but I think its about earning the respect of the beast. Thats mental power. If the Bull senses that you are going to teach him who is boss, and you PROVE it for a couple of seconds, I think the bulls KNOW it but carry on with their own show of how vicious they are. But they RESPECT the riders. I hope I am right. 4 legged animals know exactly where they place their legs and where they are kicking. It looks like a random freakout but I am not so sure. Its like a dog knows EXACTLY what they are doing with their teeth. if your pet accidentally nips you, and you make excuses for it, sorry for you. It LOOKED like an accident. They know PRECISELY what they are doing. Willing to hear any feedback on this comment. Awesome stuff!

They draw the name of the bull or bronc that they're going to ride; the bulls are bred just for this sport & are owned by others.

They help get the bulls back through the right gate & will use that rope if they need to.

Imnew to watching bull riding I've known about it but after watch an actual event everyone from the bull riders to the bull fighters/u.s border patrol protection team are brave beyond belief and seriously a different kind of athlete I'm interested to see how they train for this sport? I mean going to the gym doing bench press and bicep curls really think ain't enough lol I can imagine the injury rate is the most of any sport I think even combat sports full contact sports don't compare there's such a high risk of even death! How some riders don't wear protective gear is crazy but the bull fighters don't seem to wear any is insane! I wonder how much both bull riders and bull fighters get in my humble opinion they should be paid alot! Also I don't know or if commentators and event officials organisers etc will read this comment but I think the rules the judges scores etc should be told and explained for all the viewers and those who don't know or new to the sport..
