I’m from Los Angeles born and raised, never seen or been to a country scene, but growing up my barber always had bull riding on tv. Every weekend he’d have it on and since then i always thought bull riding was bad ass, especially the Cowboys who risk it all for an 8 second ride. What a rush it must be ! Much respect fellas !

My comment below abt the bulls having respect looks true. At 38:16 the bull COULD have landed FULL force on the riders legs, but instead the Bull buckled his own legs so that it looks like a slip. They know how heavy they are. They going to give you MASSIVE sht, but they not so nasty as to stomp and crush you to death. I watched a lot of their legs landing on the ground, they skillfully JUST miss the riders' legs. These Bulls know what the game is and they up for it. They know its a test of will. Shocked how they run into the pen quite obediently afterwards. But they first put on one HELL of a show of POWER. Absolutely incredible.

Used to have rodeos where I lived in Colorado and it was one of my favorite things. Now, I live in a place where everyone acts country because they own livestock but this? This is true country.
I';d like to see if any are taking a wrap of the rope around the fingers. So many are getting hung-up. I rode for 4 years and my Father was a pro for 22 years in the late 40's, 50's and mid 60's. He taught one simple rule, one wrap around the hand as a loop and if you can't keep your grip and seat you have business tying your hand up risking getting hung up and injured.

WOOOOOWWWW!!!! This is a trip from out of space! I cant believe the balls on these riders. The other strange thing is so far the bulls LOOK like they are not REALLY trying to stomp the riders into the ground. There are so many near misses i honestly think the bulls are just freaking out but dont want to CRUSH the riders. Unless we only seeing the near misses and not the leg breaking, skull crushing, rib crunching accidents....this is possible. But those Bulls are so beautiful. I love it! I know NOTHING about this sport but I think its about earning the respect of the beast. Thats mental power. If the Bull senses that you are going to teach him who is boss, and you PROVE it for a couple of seconds, I think the bulls KNOW it but carry on with their own show of how vicious they are. But they RESPECT the riders. I hope I am right. 4 legged animals know exactly where they place their legs and where they are kicking. It looks like a random freakout but I am not so sure. Its like a dog knows EXACTLY what they are doing with their teeth. if your pet accidentally nips you, and you make excuses for it, sorry for you. It LOOKED like an accident.
